Yu-gi-oh! Duelist Showdown!

Nick went to find a duel after Joseph's battle with Clyde since he was the only one who hadn't dueled that day. Nick said, "I wonder where the nearest duelist is." A duelist snuck up from behind Joseph, Frank, and Nick and said, "I'll duel you." Nick said, "And you are?" Joseph said, "Uh, that's Joey Tailwin. Aside from Rex Raptor, he's a great dinosaur duelist." Nick said, "Dinosaur Duelist, huh? Then I can't wait." Nick said, "I'll wager 3 of my coins. How many do you have?" Joey said, "10. And since you wagered 3, I'll also wager 3."

Joey and Nick activated their duel disks and started to draw their first five cards. Nick drew Kent, The Good Soldier, Campsite, Talking Crow, Water Balloon Launcher, and Princess Karen. Joey drew Serpent Night Dragon, Wasteland, Gilasaurus, Graceful Charity, and Tyrant Dragon. Nick said, "I'll go first." A Gilasurus (1400/400) then appeared on Joey's side of the field. Joey said, "Hey, wait. I said I was going first." Joey said, "I know. But this is my Gilasaurus. When I have one in my hand, I can summon it right away. You're also allowed to summon a monster from your graveyard, but since your graveyard is empty, you can't." Joseph thought, "Smart move." Nick drew Kitty, The Princess's Horse, from his deck and said, "I'll play Kent, The Good Soldier (1800/1100) in Attack Mode. Slice off the head of that dino." Kent slayed Gilasaurus, and Joey lost 520 Life Points, bringing him down to 3480. Nick said, "Hold on. Even though you were the one who lost Life Points, how did you lose more Life Points than you should have? You should have only lost 400." Joey said, "Hello. Since this is a wilderness field, my monster will get a field power bonus. And since we're also in the meadow, so does yours." Gilasurus's power rose from 1400/400 to 1820/520, and Kent, The Good Soldier's power grew from 1800/1100 to 2340/1430. Joey said, "And since your monster had 2340 attack points and mine had 1820, I lost 520." Nick thought, "That explains it." Joey said, "My move."

Joey drew Pot of Greed and said, "I'll play Pot of Greed. This card lets me draw two cards." Joey pulled Giant Rex and Ballon Lizard. Joey said, "I play Giant Rex (2000/1200) in Attack Mode. Then, Giant Rex's power rose from 2000/1200 to 2600/1560. Nick said, "And I'll strengthen him even more with the field spell, Wasteland." Then, Giant Rex's power rose from 2600/1560 to 2800/1760. Nick said, "Attack his soldier with a tail whip." Then Giant Rex whipped Kent away and destroyed him, and Nick lost 430 Life Points, bringing him down to 3570. Nick said, "Ouch." Joey said, "Let's go. I want to stomp on you." Nick drew Para-Skirts from his deck and said, "I'll play one monster face down in defense mode and end my turn." Joey drew Sword Arm of Dragon and said, "I'll sacrifice Giant Rex for Sword Arm of Dragon (1750/2030). Then, the Sword Arm of Dragon's power rose from 1750/2030 to 2475/2639. Joey said, "Tail Slash!" Then Sword Arm of Dragon destroyed Nick's Talking Crow (750/250). Nick said, "That defense monster was much too weak. Why don't you give me something stronger for my dinos to devour?"

Nick drew Princess's Singing Voice and said, "I play Kitty, The Princess's Horse (1200/1200) in defense mode. And thanks to your Wasteland card, she gets a small power raise. Then Kitty's power rose from 1200/1200 to 1400/1400. Nick said, "I end my turn." Joey drew another Pot of Greed and said, "I just drew another Pot of Greed, which I'll play. So I'll draw two cards." Joey drew Balloon Lizard and Two-Headed King Rex. Joey said, "I summon Two-Headed King Rex (1600/1200). Then, Two-Headed King Rex's power rose from 1600/1200 to 2280/1560. Joey said, "Squash his horse." Then, Two-Headed King Rex stomped on Kitty and destroyed her. Joey said, "Sword Arm of Dragon, attack his Life Points." Then, Sword Arm of Dragon attacked Nick directly, and he lost 2475 Life Points, bringing him down to 1095. Joey laughed, saying, "One more attack, and you're history." Nick drew True Love's Kiss from his deck, saying, saying, saying, saying, saying, saying, "I choose to end my turn without playing a card. Frank said, "If this is the best Nick has, he's in for a defeat." Joey drew Megazoweler from his deck and said, "I'll sacrifice Two-Headed King Rex for Megzowler (1800/2000)." Then, Megazowler's power rose from 1800/2000 to 2340/2600. Joey said, "I'm not scared to at ack. But since I'm nice, I'll give you a free turn. But if you don't return this turn, I'll end you in my next turn." Nick drew Princess Ashley and said, "I summon Princess Ashley (1500/1100) in Attack Mode." Joey said, "That's not near enough." Nick said, "So, you want more? I'll play True Love's Kiss and aim it at your Megazowler." Then Princess Ashley blew Megazowler a kiss, and Megazowler fell in love with her. Nick said, "Now, with a love counter on your Megazowler, he won't harm my princess, and I'll do the same to your other dino next turn. And just in case you think about destroying my princess, I'll play Campsite." Nick's field then turned into a campsite. Joseph said, "Is he nuts? He'll lose the duel if Joey's attack goes through." 

Joey drew Trakadon from his deck and said, "I'll sacrifice both my monsters and summon Serpent Night Dragon (2350/2400), attack his Princess." Then, the Serpent Night Dragon attacked Princess Ashley. Still, his attack got deflected, and he destroyed himself instead. Then Joey lost 1175 Life Points, bringing him down to 2305. Joey said, "Tell me how a princess can beat a dragon, especially since my dragon can fly and your princess can only walk on the earth." Nick said, "That's the power of Campsite. It protects all my monsters. Because as long as they're in their Campsite, they're safe from harm. And if any beast tried to penetrate the shield, the owners would know to run. If you try to come at me, your monsters will be destroyed, and half their power will be removed from your Life Points. Now it's my move."

Nick drew Chessland from his deck and said, "I'll sacrifice Princess Ashley for Princess Karen (2100/2250). And I'll strengthen her with Water Balloon Launcher, raising her power by 700 points." Then Princess Karen's power rose from 2100 to 2800. Nick said, "Princess Karen, attack him directly with your new Water Balloon Launcher." Then Princess Karen fired water balloons at Joey, and he lost 2800 Life Points, bringing him down to 0. Joseph said, "He won." After beating Joey, Joey gave Nick three coins, leaving Joey with seven and giving Nick seven. Nick said, "Seven coins down, 13 to go." Frank, Joseph, and Nick then slapped their hands and became proud of each other.
