You’re Supposed To Be The Villain, But You Effortlessly Win Over The Female Leads?

Chapter 53:

Chapter 53:

The director team announced they would be assigning rooms and daily tasks. In front of everyone, Jiang Feng and the other two began dividing the responsibilities.

“Jiang Nan, you’ll stay in the house closest to the pigsty. You don’t mind, right? Unless you were just talking big earlier. If you regret it now, we can always draw lots,” Jiang Feng sneered. “But if you have no objections, then the rooms are assigned.”

Jiang Nan followed Jiang Feng and took a look around.

The house near the pigsty was in terrible shape. If the other houses were just barely livable, this one was practically uninhabitable.

The bed was small and broken, the window glass was shattered, and the smell of manure wafted in from the pigsty outside.

The whole room was no more than three square meters, containing just a small bed, cold and damp.

Even the quilt looked moldy and musty.

After seeing the place, Jiang Nan’s initial determination to tough it out disappeared instantly.

It was unbearable.

How could anyone live here?

“Xiao Feng, this room… maybe we should draw lots. It would be more fair.” Jiang Nan suggested.

“Tsk, stop pretending,” Jiang Feng laughed. “Weren’t you the one talking about how important it is to endure hardships?”

Jiang Nan’s face turned red, then pale, but he had no comeback. He was at a loss for words, leaving Jiang Feng chuckling to himself.

In the end, the three of them agreed to draw lots.

Before picking hers, Bai Qingqing clasped her hands together, “Buddha and Bodhisattva, please don’t let me get this room.”

She’d rather die than live there!

They each drew a slip of paper.

Jiang Nan opened his first and, seeing that he’d drawn the best room, smiled smugly. “I got Room A, Xiao Feng, what about you?”

Room C was the worst, while A was the best.

Bai Qingqing’s expression darkened when she heard Jiang Nan had drawn Room A.

Her hands trembled as she opened her own paper, and when she saw the large letter “C” written on it, her face went pale.

“I don’t want to live in Room C!” she shouted, her voice shaking with anger. “Director, can’t I switch rooms? Why do I have to stay here?”

The director team was firm. “Sorry, but you made the decision to draw lots. Unless someone volunteers to switch with you, the result stands.”

Bai Qingqing fell silent.

Who would be willing to switch for the room she didn’t even want?

“I want to go home!” She cried.

Frustration and resentment built up inside her. She couldn’t believe her family had left her in this run-down place, and now she couldn’t even escape. Forced to live in a room like this, tears streamed down her face.

She sobbed, “This is so unfair! Why is there only one horrible room out of the three? This is too much! I refuse to live here. I’ll just pay someone in the village to stay somewhere else!”

“No,” came the director’s reply.

“Why not? I’ll use my own money!”

“It’s the rule.”

Hearing this, Bai Qingqing felt even more wronged. Nothing was going her way. It felt like she was the only one expected to live in such a horrible room.

Jiang Nan, noticing her tears, rushed over with a tissue. “It’s only half a month,” he said gently, offering her the tissue. “You can endure it. I’ll help you clean up the room, and you’ll be able to manage.”

Bai Qingqing glanced at him but refused to take the tissue. His words were clear—he wasn’t willing to trade rooms with her. If he wouldn’t switch, why was he pretending to help?

But just then, a voice cut through her thoughts—

“You’re so ugly when you cry.”
