Chapter 623: Management!
Not just Qiu Jin.
Not just the Qi Cultivation Disciples.
Even Zhao Dahai and Zhang Shu were entranced, listening and observing, they felt as if the broad and straight path was right before them, within arm's reach.
Insights into the Dao ability.
Advancement in Magic Power Cultivation.
Every aspect was improving.
Zhang Yang and Qin Fan sat cross-legged in the clouds, behind Lu Qingfeng.
They, too, sank into the experience, their faces flashing with joy and sorrow, covering up even the surging alarm within—
Zhang Yang hadn't expected his teacher's Dao ability to be so unfathomably deep. With his status as a Four Tribulations True Immortal, he stood a great chance against the peak True Immortals of the Nanhua Realm.
In his previous life, he even nearly reached the level of a Seventh Tribulation True Immortal.
Only an Earth Immortal might surpass such profound Dao ability.
Yet on his proud path of thunder, it was completely surpassed by Lu Qingfeng. Multitudes of mysteries came rushing, and Zhang Yang never thought that within the Little Ruoshui Realm, there would be someone whose mastery of thunder exceeded his.
Now he had witnessed it.
He felt as if the once obscured path ahead, shrouded in fog, had been slightly unveiled. In the dim outlines, he could glimpse a path.
Where it led—
Was to the Longevity Immortal Gate!
Zhang Yang felt this way and Qin Fan was even more overwhelmed.
He was lost in the intricacies of Xuanji, unable to extricate himself.
Lu Qingfeng preached in simple yet profound terms. Whether one practiced Qi Cultivation or was a True Immortal, at first, all could understand a bit, filled with joy in their hearts as if listening to the sound of Dao being imparted. But as it went on, it became increasingly difficult, increasingly obscure, accessible only to those with solid foundations and exceptional insight.
The mediocre ones scratched their ears and scratched their cheeks in frustration and confusion, reaching their limits.
Qin Fan's attainment as a True Immortal naturally implied he wasn't lacking in insight.
But in the latter part, there were vast tracts that seemed understandable yet not. First feeling strained, and not knowing how much time had passed, he suddenly fell from the Mysterious Realm, feeling a wave of dejection surge in his heart.
His expression turned sorrowful.
Realizing that the opportunity was exhausted, it was beyond his fortune to enjoy.
He opened his eyes and saw that above his teacher's head, Qing Cloud still unraveled the mysteries of the great Dao. Beside him, his master's face was crumpled, his brows tightly knitted, obviously reaching his limit as well.
Then he looked below.
Including Zhao Dahai and Zhang Shu, a total of seventeen disciples had fallen out of the state of mystery sooner than he had. But each of their faces did not show sorrow; instead, they wore expressions of amazement.
One after another, 'faint' auras emerged intermittently.
Qin Fan glanced and instantly understood, "They've each made breakthroughs."
Lu Qingfeng's level of being imparting the Dao was akin to a serendipitous adventure for these Qi Cultivation Disciples and Primordial Spirit Elders.
From Zhao Dahai at the Primordial Spirit Fourth Level to the newest disciple at the Qi Cultivation First Layer, there was a varying degree of increase in the auras emanating from their bodies.
Everyone had made breakthroughs.
Zhao Qi, who had long been stuck at the Qi Cultivation Ninth Layer and diagnosed as hopeless for reaching Primordial Spirit after seeing his hundred-year Life Span exhausted, was now graced by fate. On the spot, his Golden Core burst forth, and a Divine Thought emerged.
His aura surged.
The wrinkles on his face vanished, the wounds had long been healed, and even his grey hair was regaining its luster.
Amidst the swirling clouds, Zhao Qi had become a Primordial Spirit Character!
"Good!"
"Great!"
At this sight, Zhao Dahai couldn't help but burst into tears.
Even his advancement from Primordial Spirit Fourth Level to Primordial Spirit Fifth Layer could not excite him as much as seeing Zhao Qi ascend to Primordial Spirit.
"I—"
Zhao Qi looked bewildered, his mind a blank slate.
Gazing at his father, crying copiously, and at his fellow disciples, all awestruck, Zhao Qi lowered his head to look at himself and said in a daze—
"I've broken through?"
...
Qin Fan awoke.
The breakthrough of Zhao Qi.
"Sigh!"
Before long, Zhang Yang also awoke from the state more mysterious than mystery.
Then Lu Qingfeng stopped, reaching into the air, a green bamboo staff materialized with a wave of his big sleeve—
"Go!"
The green bamboo staff tumbled, flipping a few somersaults before landing at the center of the Cloud Platform. With a flash of Green Light, bamboo shoots sprung out of nowhere, breaking through the soil, and in a single breath, scaled to two or three Zhang high, becoming Green Bamboo.
Before Zhao Dahai and others could even react, the vast Cloud Platform had grown into a lush bamboo forest.
Zhao Qi, Qiu Jin, and the others looked around in bewilderment.
...
"The bamboo forest on the Cloud Platform is the manifestation of my Supreme Treasure, the 'Quiet Bamboo Stick'. Cultivating within the forest purifies the Six Roots and banishes distracting thoughts, greatly benefiting one's cultivation."
Sea View Peak.
Right Heart Hall.
Lu Qingfeng explained to Zhang Yang and the others.
In the hall, Zhang Yang, Qin Fan, Zhao Dahai, Zhang Shu, and Zhao Qi, who had just ascended to Primordial Spirit status today, stood before Lu Qingfeng.
When Zhang Yang heard Lu Qingfeng's words, he immediately realized, "We disciples are dull, and you, Teacher, have taken a great deal of trouble for us."
And felt somewhat pleasantly surprised.
If the Cloud Platform Bamboo Forest truly could purify the Six Roots, then the disciples of Sea View Peak would be able to practice with twice the result for half the effort.
"The wisdom of our Ancestor Master is profound!"
Listening, Qin Fan too was overjoyed.
Lu Qingfeng gazed upon his disciples from Sea View Peak, concerned yet powerless to assist them. Today, witnessing each disciple's progress and the Ancestor Master's magical transformation of a bamboo forest for cultivation, Qin Fan finally saw hope for the rise of Sea View Peak.
How could he not rejoice?
It wasn't just Qin Fan.
Zhao Dahai, Zhang Shu, and Zhao Qi were also surprised and delighted at the sight of their young Ancestor Master.
Especially Zhao Qi.
This mysterious Ancestor Master had appeared out of nowhere, helping him break through to the Primordial Spirit Realm, sweeping away his misfortunes and filling him with immense gratitude. Hearing that the Ancestor Master had also created a sacred cultivation ground for the disciples of Sea View Peak only deepened his loyalty and happiness for his fellow sect members.
Lu Qingfeng observed the joy in the eyes of his five disciples, his gaze eventually settling on Zhao Qi.
"Most disciples of Sea View Peak have meager destinies," he thought.
"Before, Zhao Qi looked so pale, his destiny on top of his head seeming like it was slashed away with a knife, hitting the very root of his strength. Although his recent ascension to the Primordial Spirit Realm regained some of it, it merely steadied the situation."
Lu Qingfeng could see it all in a single glance.
The one hundred and seventy years of Zhao Qi's life unravelled before Lu Qingfeng's eyes, fully revealed.
"Indeed."
Scenes flashed through Lu Qingfeng's eyes.
He saw that in each of Zhao Qi's battles, a victory would slightly boost his destiny, while defeat caused it to decline. His recent loss to Lv Yuan was a heavy blow to his destiny. In contrast, Lv Yuan's destiny was like a sword released from its sheath, so prosperous it rivalled that of a Primordial Spirit Practitioner.
For Lv Yuan, achieving the Primordial Spirit was merely a matter of time.
Lu Qingfeng then turned to Zhao Dahai and Zhang Shu.
Their experiences were similar to Zhao Qi's, except Zhao Qi experienced more defeats than victories, while the other two had a track record of more victories, both cultivating their way to becoming renowned Primordial Spirit figures.
"The Little Ruoshui Realm."
"True Immortals face tribulations."
"And including True Immortals, all cultivators are embroiled in an era of great strife. A life entangled in battle sees destiny rise and fall like the tides. Those who often rise are bound for greatness and limitless prospects. If one's destiny seldom rises and often falls, then the world does not aide them, slowing their cultivation and dimming their future."
With visionary eyes that saw through to the essence, Lu Qingfeng glimpsed the intrinsic nature of the Little Ruoshui Realm.
Looking up.
Following this sermon, as the Sea View Peak disciples saw their cultivation soar, the fortunes of Sea View Peak also increased. Looking at the other four peaks, Great Victory Sect's fortunes remained robust, aptly described as thriving.
"Individuals compete against individuals."
"Sects vie against sects."
"Every clash between disciples of Sea View Peak and Great Victory Sect sways the fortunes and destiny of both factions."
Even with these enhanced fortunes, everyone from the true immortals to the Qi Cultivation Disciples of Sea View Peak found their cultivation speed far surpassing that of the former, each and everyone proceeding smoothly as desired.
As the fortunes of one rise and the other wanes,
the gap keeps growing, becoming insurmountable.
"Unless there are variables."
Lu Qingfeng suddenly smiled.
Zhang Shu, standing in the hall, noticed the young Ancestor Master's eyes sweeping over them as if lost in thought.
But soon after, he regained his usual expression, a charming smile spreading across his face – so appealing that it swayed the hearts of those who saw it, involuntarily drawing a slight smile from Zhang Shu as well.
In an instant.
Zhang Shu realized it was impolite to display such emotion, swiftly reverting to a stern expression, but before she could settle her fluttering heart, the young Ancestor Master turned his gaze towards her—
"Damn!"
Zhang Shu's heart sank.
Her face turned pale as she prepared to apologize, only to see the young Ancestor Master smiling at her and with a wave of his hand, a three-legged tripod landed before her.
"This 'Green Wood King Ding' is an excellent elixir furnace, with a space inside that can nurture thousands of spiritual medicines," he said.
"Zhang Shu, you manage our sect's affairs and are skilled in alchemy."
"This Ding shall be in your care for now."
"There are two more elixir recipes for you – one is called 'Nourishing Yuan Pill,' perfect for solidifying foundations and suitable for Qi Cultivation Disciples. Another is 'True Yang Pill,' containing the essence of true yang to fortify the foundations of Primordial Spirit Practitioners, an extraordinary and high-grade Spirit Pill."
As Lu Qingfeng's words ended, from within the tripod, two jade scrolls emerged.
Both elixirs were designed to solidify one's foundation and nourish the core. In the Little Ruoshui Realm, where cultivation naturally proceeds with Divine Speed, a sudden increase in mana could lead to an unstable foundation.
Thus, these elixirs were the most appropriate.
The 'Nourishing Yuan Pill' could benefit even those at the Ninth Layer of Qi Cultivation,
while the 'True Yang Pill' was highly coveted by Primordial Spirit Practitioners.
In three months or half a year, based on different cultivation levels and contributions, varying quantities of these Spirit Pills would be distributed. Paired with the 'Cloud Platform Bamboo Forest,' the power of Sea View Peak's disciples was bound to surge dramatically.
"Nourishing Yuan Pill."
"True Yang Pill."
Astute Zhang Shu took the two jade scrolls without asking further questions, bowing to Lu Qingfeng and loudly thanking, "Thank you for the Ancestor Master's generous gift!"
As her words faded,
the three-legged Ding spun in the air, shrinking to palm-size before landing in Zhang Shu's hands.
Qin Fan watched the Green Wood King Ding, eyes filled with shock—
"Another Supreme Treasure!"
Not just Qin Fan,
Zhang Yang was also taken aback.
He thought that their teacher possessed too many treasures. In just a few days after arriving at Sea View Peak, the teacher had produced two supreme treasures and a piece of Primordial Magnetic Divine Iron.
Not to mention the spiritual medicines within the Green Wood King Ding, the two elixir recipes, and the invaluable Cloud Platform Bamboo Forest.
What they didn't know was that, in pursuit of Artifact Refining Skill, Lu Qingfeng had really refined quite a few magical artifacts over the years. Though limited by materials and unable to achieve Immortal Artifacts, most were Seventh or Eighth Rank Magical Artifacts.
This Green Wood King Ding, an Eighth Rank Magical Artifact,
was a top-tier treasure in the Little Ruoshui Realm.
Although it had no offensive or defensive capabilities, for Sea View Peak, it was more precious and strategically significant than any single offensive or defensive supreme treasure.
