Yaxoc's Adventure: Act 6

Chapter 3: Chapter 3: A New Powerful Hunter In Yaxoc's side

The saviors gathered once again for a meeting. The air in the room was tense, a reflection of the mystery surrounding the recent events.

Watyrio stood at the head of the table, his voice steady but concerned. "The hunter wasn't identified due to its extreme power," he began, "but it died under unusual circumstances—crushed as though by immense pressure. Someone must have intervened in that fight."

"Wait, the hunter died from pressure?" Hannah asked, frowning. "That's bizarre. What kind of force could do that?"

Watyrio nodded gravely. "It's highly irregular. The fact that the battle took place in space only adds to the mystery."

Gravito, casually leaning back in his chair with a "2025" party hat perched on his head, chimed in, "Unrelated, but—almost Happy New Year, everyone."

Virelle gave him a sharp glance. "Can you take the hat off? Hats aren't allowed during meetings."

Gravito smirked, crossing his arms. "Oh, but what about Pot Boy over there? He's got a literal cooking pot on his head."

Virelle sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "The rules don't specifically forbid pots. So, deal with it."

"Hats or not, it's still a hat!" Gravito shot back.

Before the argument could escalate, Watyrio lightly slammed the desk. "Enough. Focus."

Both Virelle and Gravito fell silent, turning their attention back to him.

Watyrio adjusted his glasses, his expression stern. "As I was saying, someone intervened in that fight. I need to know if any saviors, particularly those stationed as hiders, gathered any information about the cause of the hunter's death."

The Z+ Savior, known for their speed-enhancing ability Flash, raised their hand. "I scouted the area as thoroughly as I could, but unfortunately, I didn't find anything definitive."

Gravito leaned forward, tapping his fingers on the table. "It's hard to pinpoint what happened, especially since the hunter was in space. But… I did see something unusual through my telescope—two figures floating up there."

"Two figures?" Moonlight asked, her interest piqued. "Could one of them have been the cause of the hunter's death? Maybe they used some kind of ability to crush it with pressure?"

"That's a strong possibility," Watyrio said, stroking his chin. "The real issue is that we don't have many saviors capable of operating in space. The only option would be sending the most powerful savior we have—but I'm not sure of their availability."

"Wait, what?" Yaxoc interjected, his eyebrows raised.

"Yeah, you heard him," Gravito replied with a smug grin. "We've got a top-ranked savior, the strongest for the last 50 years. No one's even come close to taking their spot."

Moonlight crossed her arms and gave Gravito a knowing look. "You're not going to believe this, but… I think Yaxoc might be the one to take that spot."

Gravito burst into laughter. "Yaxoc? Take the top spot? What makes you think he's even in the running?"

Moonlight smirked, unfazed. "First of all, Yaxoc has Angelic Essence Mastery 1."

Gravito raised an eyebrow. "And that's supposed to impress me?"

Watyrio leaned in, his expression serious. "You're underestimating it, Gravito. Angelic Essence Mastery 1 is no small feat. It grants the ability to bypass any infinity-based abilities and defenses. It's a level of power no one's achieved except for Heraphiel."

Gravito shrugged dismissively. "Heraphiel's no big deal. I beat him once, thanks to my gravity spell."

Watyrio crossed his arms. "And you know he was holding back when that happened."

Gravito opened his mouth to retort, but Watyrio cut him off. "The mastery of Angelic Essence isn't a joke, Gravito. If Yaxoc's truly mastered it, he's a contender for the top spot, whether you like it or not."

Gravito leaned back in his chair, visibly annoyed but silent.

Yaxoc, meanwhile, looked between the two, unsure whether to feel flattered or overwhelmed. Moonlight gave him a subtle nod of encouragement, as if to say, You've got this.

Yaxoc sighed, crossing his arms. "Hey, Gravity guy, you really shouldn't underestimate me."

Gravito turned, raising an eyebrow. "You? What makes you think you're even worth my time?"

Yaxoc smirked. "Because I can beat you in a 1v1."

"Oh, really?" Gravito said, his tone dripping with mockery. "And with what? That rusty sword of yours?"

"I know you can toss my sword around with your gravity tricks," Yaxoc said, his grin widening. "But I've got options—Imagination Magic or my Angelic Essence. Take your pick."

Before Gravito could respond, Marcus intervened. "Enough! We don't have time for this. Yaxoc, keep your temper in check!"

Yaxoc rolled his eyes and looked away, muttering under his breath.

"Tch. Idiot," Gravito spat, shaking his head.

Suddenly, a loud noise erupted from outside, silencing the room.

"What was that?" Yaxoc asked, already heading for the door.

Outside, he saw a figure obliterating a hunter with a swirling mass of chaotic energy.

"Hey! Who the hell are you?!" Yaxoc shouted.

The figure turned, revealing a sly grin. "Uh… the pizza delivery guy?"

Yaxoc facepalmed. "Do I look stupid? You literally just annihilated someone with whatever weird-ass magic that is."

The figure's grin faded into a glare. "Weird? Weird? You've got some nerve. I could destroy you where you stand!"

Before Yaxoc could respond, Moonlight rushed outside, stepping between them. "Not now!" she snapped, then turned to the figure. "What are you doing here, Luchis?"

Luchis shrugged. "Just cleaning up. Taking down some hunters."

"Wait, you take down hunters? Aren't you one of them?" Yaxoc asked, incredulous.

"Used to be," Luchis said with a smirk. "Retired. Lucius keeps sending hunters after me, and now he's upping the stakes."

"Upping the stakes?" Moonlight's eyes widened. "You don't mean… that hunter is coming here?"

Yaxoc frowned, confused. "What's going on? Who's this 'that hunter'?"

Moonlight's voice grew somber. "His name is Urioh. Nine years ago, he came to my village. He… he assassinated one of my siblings. I saw him slaughter them with my own eyes."

Yaxoc blinked, then shrugged. "Sounds like a nobody to me." He turned to Luchis. "What do you know about this guy?"

Luchis sighed. "He's on a mission. His target? Marcus."

"MARCUS?!" Yaxoc shouted, his face twisting in alarm. "Oh, hell no. Anything but that!"

Moonlight stepped closer, her tone urgent. "If Urioh's involved, we need to prepare for the worst. Luchis, are you offering to help?"

Luchis nodded. "I am. My Chaos Magic combined with your Star and Artificial Magic? We'd be unstoppable. Add Yaxoc's Imagination Magic, and we've got a winning team."

Moonlight glanced at Yaxoc, who simply shrugged. "Fine," she said. "But there's one condition."

"Anything but that," Luchis said, rolling his eyes.

"Don't betray us," Moonlight said firmly.

Luchis nodded. "Deal."

Before anyone could say more, a figure materialized in front of them.

"Well, well, well," Lucius said, his grin wide and sinister. "Looks like you've made some new friends, Luchis."

Yaxoc and Moonlight immediately fell into fighting stances.

"What do you want now?!" Yaxoc yelled.

"Oh, nothing much," Lucius said, reaching behind him. "Just thought I'd deliver a little gift."

With a sickening thud, he dropped a severed head onto the ground.

Moonlight gasped. "Is that…?"

Yaxoc froze, his eyes wide in horror. "Yaxocara?! She's… dead?"

Lucius smirked. "Oh, I didn't kill her. He did."

A hulking figure stepped forward, his crimson eyes glowing with malice.

"Ogamak," Luchis muttered under her breath.

Ogamak sneered. "She thought she could escape. A noble sacrifice, but ultimately pointless. Now, you're all alone—no Yaxocara, no one to protect you."

Suddenly, a new voice rang out.

"Not quite."

Fate appeared, his presence overwhelming, accompanied by Xavy.

"Ogamak. Lucius." Fate's voice was calm but brimming with menace.

"Time to take out the trash," Xavy added, his fists glowing with power.

Without another word, the two memory fragments charged at the demons.

"Let's fall back!" Moonlight shouted. The trio ran back inside the meeting hall, locking the doors as the sounds of battle echoed outside.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fate squared off against Ogamak, who launched a barrage of powerful blows. A particularly heavy punch sent Fate flying across the battlefield, skidding to a halt amidst shattered ground.

Ogamak charged forward, aiming a devastating kick at Fate, but Fate pivoted mid-air, countering with his own kick that slammed Ogamak into the earth.

Fate adjusted his glasses, his expression calm but filled with menace. "That grin of yours pisses me off. I'll make sure you don't get the chance to show it again."

Ogamak laughed, despite the pain. "Oh, really? Let's see you try!"

A massive surge of energy erupted from Ogamak, the shockwave tearing through the area. Fate leaped back, avoiding the brunt of the blast.

"Xavy, we've got a problem," Fate called out.

Xavy jumped into view, landing beside him. "We need to switch. You handle Lucius. I'll take care of Ogamak."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fate nodded, his gaze shifting to Lucius.

Lucius smirked. "You? You think you can stop me? Pathetic."

Fate adjusted his stance, his tone sharp. "You already know the answer. Or maybe you're too stupid to figure it out." He cracked his knuckles. "But don't worry. One move, and you'll regret every decision that led you here."

Lucius lunged, aiming for Fate's throat, but Fate teleported behind him in a blur of speed. With a flash of black energy, Fate struck a crushing blow, sending Lucius hurtling across the planet. He returned within seconds, fury burning in his eyes.

Before Lucius could react, Fate grabbed him by the collar, lifting him off the ground. "You see how this works now, don't you?" Fate said coldly. He slammed Lucius into the ground repeatedly, each impact shaking the earth.

Lucius groaned, his body trembling. "Ogamak! Retreat!"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, Xavy faced Ogamak head-on.

Ogamak threw a flurry of punches, each infused with chaotic energy, but Xavy barely flinched. Instead, he retaliated with a series of blows five times stronger, each hit shaking Ogamak to his core.

"Agh!" Ogamak groaned, staggering back. "How… how are you this strong?!"

Xavy didn't answer. Instead, he delivered a devastating punch to Ogamak's face, sending him crashing through a line of trees.

Before Ogamak could recover, Xavy teleported behind him, delivering a bone-shattering kick to his back that launched him skyward.

Appearing above him in an instant, Xavy brought both hands down in a sledgehammer strike, slamming Ogamak back toward the ground. He followed up with a barrage of blasts, each exploding on impact.

When the smoke cleared, Ogamak was barely standing, his body trembling.

"Ugh…" Ogamak muttered weakly. "I… I need to retreat…"

With a flicker of energy, Ogamak vanished just as Lucius appeared beside him. Together, they disappeared into the void.

Fate and Xavy regrouped, surveying the devastation around them.

"They retreated," Fate said, his tone calm.

"Yeah," Xavy replied. "But it's not over. He's sent more hunters after us."

Fate adjusted his glasses. "A shame Ogamak didn't warn them about you, Xavy. It's almost laughable that someone would target a 15-year-old with your power."

Xavy smirked. "Only someone with half a brain would try. Let's get out of here before anyone else shows up."

Fate nodded. Without another word, the two teleported away, leaving behind craters and splintered trees as silent witnesses to their power.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Urioh perched casually on a high tree branch, peeling a banana with one hand as he observed the aftermath of the battle below. He took a slow bite, his expression bored.

"Hm... two kids," he muttered, chewing lazily. "And yet, they couldn't finish them off. How pitiful."

Leaning back against the tree trunk, Urioh let out a low chuckle. His nonchalance was interrupted when he noticed something—a faint figure standing in the distance, watching him.

"Huh?" he mumbled, narrowing his eyes. "Now, who could that be?"

Before he could investigate, the figure vanished, leaving no trace.

Urioh blinked, then sighed, shaking his head. "Must be my imagination. Or maybe those pills didn't kick in properly this morning." He tossed the banana peel over his shoulder, standing up on the branch.

Stretching his arms, he looked out at the horizon with a sinister smirk.

"Well, tomorrow's the big day," he said to himself. "Time to raid those saviors... and Marcus, you'd better be ready."

With a low hum, his body shimmered, fading into the air like a ghost. The tree branch swayed lightly in the breeze, the only sign he had ever been there.
