XIAO YAN - Master of Fate

Chapter 7: The Kingdom of Darkness

Xiao Yan stood tall, with the Flame King's fire blazing around his body. Every spark of flame that shot out seemed capable of tearing apart the sky and earth, yet despite the immense power of the fire he unleashed, the enemies from the Realm of the Abyss showed no signs of retreat. These massive and ferocious creatures continued to attack with incredible speed, as though they were not hindered by pain or fatigue.

The first giant that had been struck by the Flame King's fire was now rampaging with even greater strength. Its body was covered in a dark layer that absorbed the fire energy, making it stronger with each attack it took. Its beast-like face grinned wickedly, showing that it relished every moment of the battle.

Xiao Yan knew that this was no ordinary fight. Every move he made had to be carefully calculated, or he would only worsen the situation. After unleashing a large fire attack that destroyed the ground beneath him, Xiao Yan focused more energy into his body, attempting to manipulate the Flame King in a more sophisticated way, as he had learned from the teachings of the Flame King's Soul.

But before he could further adjust his approach, another massive creature emerged from the darkness. Its body, enveloped in a layer of black stone, appeared like a living golem made of dark fire. Its glowing red eyes locked onto Xiao Yan, and with incredible speed, the golem hurled a large stone at him, forcing him to leap aside to avoid the attack.

"If I keep fighting like this, I'll run out of energy," Xiao Yan muttered. "I have to find a way to end this battle."

At that moment, the Flame King's Soul spoke once again in his mind, its voice more powerful and profound than before. "You still don't fully understand the power within you. You are only using a fraction of your potential. If you want to truly defeat them, you must go deeper into this fire."

Upon hearing these words, Xiao Yan began to reflect. He realized that although he had mastered the Flame King, the power he had been using was only a small portion of the true power contained within the technique. His strength was like an endless sea of fire, yet all this time, he had only been using a drop of that ocean.

Xiao Yan's eyes blazed brightly, the red flames around his body intensifying. With a firm resolve, he decided to fully unlock the potential of the Flame King within him. In an instant, his body was enveloped by flames darker than the night. The Abyssal Beasts' attacks, which had previously pierced through his fire defenses, were now halted as if trapped in a far larger blaze.

"This power…" Xiao Yan said in a deep voice, "This isn't just for defense, it's to defeat them all."

With a single step, Xiao Yan launched a massive attack from the Flame King's fire, now transformed into an enormous fireball. The fireball sped with incredible velocity, destroying everything in its path and even altering the space around it. The first rampaging giant was instantly obliterated in a devastating explosion of fire.

However, even though one creature had fallen, Xiao Yan knew the greatest threat was still ahead. In the distance, Zhou Li, who had previously been observing, now began to move forward, raising his hand and calling forth a greater dark power.

"What are you planning, Zhou Li?" Xiao Yan shouted, his tension rising.

Zhou Li grinned wickedly. "You don't understand, Xiao Yan. The Flame King's power you possess is the key to opening more gates. Bigger gates. The Realm of the Abyss is waiting, and this time, no one can stop us."

At that moment, Xiao Yan felt an overwhelming surge of energy coming from Zhou Li. Without realizing it, he understood that Zhou Li had combined the dark powers of the Realm of the Abyss with his own fire, creating a terrifying force—something far greater than any attack Xiao Yan had ever unleashed.

"It can't be…" Xiao Yan thought to himself, realizing that time was running out. Even though he had just unlocked his full potential, the power before him was far greater than he could have predicted.
