Xianxia: The Sect Master Is My Girlfriend

Chapter 102: High Profile, Must Be High Profile!

Li Ran hadn’t even left Rakshasa Peak when he ran into Elder Sun Wei.

Upon seeing him, Elder Sun frowned, “Holy Son?”

“Elder Sun,” Li Ran nodded.

Elder Sun asked curiously, “You’re here to see the Sect Master so early?”

It was indeed quite early; even breakfast time hadn’t passed yet.

Li Ran nodded, “I made a breakthrough last night and came to report it to my master.”

“A breakthrough?” Elder Sun was taken aback and scrutinized him closely.

Li Ran’s aura was profound, his eyes gleamed with a radiant light, and his spiritual energy was incomparably more potent than before!

Elder Sun’s heart pounded as she asked, “Holy Son, what is your current cultivation level?”

“In theory, I should be at the early Nascent Soul stage now,” Li Ran said casually.

“Early Nascent Soul stage?!”

Elder Sun was utterly stunned.

“If I remember correctly, before you descended the mountain, you had just broken through to the late Golden Core stage, right? It hasn’t even been that long!” She couldn’t believe it.

Li Ran sighed, “Yeah, I didn’t expect it either. I was just soaking in the bath, and before I knew it, I broke through.”

Elder Sun: “…”

Cultivation was like sailing against the current; the gap between each realm couldn’t be measured easily.

There were two major hurdles in the early stages: one was Foundation Establishment, marking the transition from mortal to the path of seeking immortality. The other was the Nascent Soul stage, where one “breaks the core to form the soul.” Only by crossing this threshold could one touch the Primordial Spirit and hope to attain immortality.

This wasn’t something that could be achieved by talent alone. It required opportunity, effort, and luck—all three. Countless geniuses had been stuck at this stage for life, unable to break through.

Even Lin Langyue, someone who was born with the Innate Dao Body, had been stuck at the Peak of the Golden Core stage for half a year, still unable to find that opportunity.

And Li Ran just… broke through while bathing?

If this got out, other geniuses would fall silent, and goddesses would shed tears!

Elder Sun asked cautiously, “Holy Son, may I check your cultivation?”

“Of course.”

Li Ran unleashed his spiritual energy, and his robes fluttered in the wind. Stones around him floated into the air, shifting and forming a perfectly smooth sphere, flawless and seamless.

Elder Sun’s eyes sparkled in excitement. “This spiritual energy and control—it’s undoubtedly Nascent Soul stage!”

“Holy Son is truly a once-in-a-millennium genius. Given time, you will surely reach the pinnacle of cultivation!”

“Our Hidden Gauze Sect will undoubtedly become the number one sect in the land!”

She wasn’t exaggerating. Though Li Ran was still only in the early Nascent Soul stage, his cultivation speed was so shocking that if he continued at this pace, he would certainly become a powerful figure in the future!

Li Ran cleared his throat, “Elder Sun, let’s stay humble.”

“High profile, we must be high profile!” Elder Sun beamed. “The righteous sects have been oppressing us for too long. It’s time we show our strength!”

Li Ran watched her excitement, suddenly regretting having told her anything…

White Cloud Peak.

Amid the clouds, deep within the Sky Pivot courtyard.

In a clean and tidy small courtyard, Lin Langyue sat cross-legged.

Her robe remained spotless, her eyes as clear as a mirror, seemingly reflecting the depths of one’s soul.

Beside her, a junior disciple asked, “Senior Lin, why do you think the Sect Master withdrew the killing order?”

Yesterday, Yi Qinglan had withdrawn the kill order against Li Ran.

Consequently, the Hidden Gauze Sect also called off their wartime status and stopped hunting disciples from the Central Heaven Sect.

It seemed as though the matter had come to an end.

Lin Langyue’s eyes flickered for a moment but quickly regained their calm. “Master made the right choice. It’s not worth sacrificing fellow disciples or risking a war between righteous  and demonic sects over a trivial matter.”

The junior disciple shook her head. “But it’s not a trivial matter! You’re the sect’s Head Disciple, the face of the Central Heaven Sect, and he humiliated you… Isn’t that a slap in our sect’s face?”

Lin Langyue shook her head. “A loss is a loss. Clinging to it will only make us seem unable to accept defeat.”

“Does that mean we’re just letting that devil off the hook?” the junior disciple asked angrily.

“Who said anything about letting him go?”

Lin Langyue’s eyes turned steely. “I will defeat him in my own way.”

Li Ran was indeed powerful, but the reason she lost so badly was that she was caught off guard.

His endless methods and dual cultivation of martial and spiritual arts had thrown her off balance, leaving her constantly on the defensive.

Her true strength hadn’t been fully displayed.

“My Dao Heart is damaged, and my strength has dropped from the peak of the Golden Core stage to just a major achievement. But with Master’s Clear Heart Dao Technique, I should be able to recover.”

“As long as I break through to the Nascent Soul stage first, Li Ran will be no match for me!”

Lin Langyue was full of confidence.

At that moment, a female disciple rushed in, panting.

“Senior Lin, something big has happened!”

Lin Langyue frowned, “Calm down and tell me, what’s got you so flustered?”

The disciple caught her breath and said, “Just now, news came from the outer sect—Hidden Gauze Sect’s Holy Son, Li Ran, he… he broke through!”

“What?”

Lin Langyue’s eyes widened. “He broke through?”

The disciple nodded. “Li Ran has shattered his core and formed a Nascent Soul! He’s entered the Nascent Soul stage!”

Lin Langyue froze.

A pair of dark red eyes and the memory of that beast-like assault flashed through her mind… Panic began to creep into her heart.

“Ugh!”

She felt a tightness in her chest, and blood spurted from her mouth.

The junior disciple panicked. “Someone, help! Senior Lin is coughing up blood from anger!”

Lin Langyue waved her off and wiped the blood from her lips, her eyes complex but resolute.

“Take me to Master. I want to enter the ‘Path of Absolute Death!'”

Mount Wuxiang, Hehuan Sect.

Qin Ruyan looked shaken. “Sect Master, are you serious? Has that devil really broken through?”

Liu Xunhuan nodded. “Li Ran has already formed his Nascent Soul. He’s now the youngest Nascent Soul cultivator in the land!”

Qin Ruyan’s throat went dry.

An 18-year-old Nascent Soul… Could such a genius really exist?

The seemingly insurmountable barriers of cultivation meant nothing to him!

Liu Xunhuan said, “Once this boy fully matures, the Hidden Gauze Sect will be unstoppable.”

“Should we take any action?” Qin Ruyan asked.

“Frostfall Festival is approaching. I’ve prepared some immortal treasures. You’ll personally deliver them to Mystic Spirit Mountain for Leng Wuyan,” Liu Xunhuan said.

“We’re giving her gifts? She doesn’t even acknowledge us as part of the demonic sects, and she’s even threatened you…” Qin Ruyan was puzzled.

Liu Xunhuan glared at her. “You think I want to? Leng Wuyan is already terrifying enough, and now this little monster has appeared. He might surpass her in the future!”

“It’s better to curry favor now, just in case they turn on us later!”

Qin Ruyan: “…”

“You’re really cautious, Sect Master.”

“You don’t understand anything! This is called strategic foresight!”
