Black Phoenix was the first to speak. "Still going to help Chiyoshima Hitomi kill the Demon King?"

"Of course, that's my mission."

Ruo Li smiled. "Junior brother helping his lover fight monsters is pretty normal. After all, she is quite beautiful, reputedly the most beautiful among the Sakura Alliance Envoys."

Ruo Li looked at Angelina. "Little Na, someone's trying to steal your man. From now on, just stick with us. Men are all fickle and insincere creatures."

"Is there a problem?"

"No, revive on the spot."

Ruo Li asked, "Do you think Jiang Chen has anything going on with that Chiyoshima Hitomi? I suspect that kid is lying. After all, Chiyoshima Hitomi's boobs are huge."

"Why do you care about that! It's their personal business."

"I'm just curious why the kid isn't interested in me."

"I guess he's not interested in provocative women."

Ruo Li nodded, then glared. "Who are you calling provocative?!"

"I'm talking about you."

"Get lost! In bed, I'm not as wild as you are!"

Black Phoenix was momentarily stunned.

I'm still too insignificant; the Different Worlds are too complex, and struggles for interests are everywhere. What Jiang Chen found most vexing was being used by others, especially as a pawn. Even a Divine Envoy doing so was unacceptable. Such a Divine Envoy would also have to die.

Jiang Chen thought it through carefully. Perhaps this whole setup began the moment I entered the Dark Zone. Sealing the Dark Zone... conflicts between Legions... and finally, luring Chiyoshima Hitomi out, making her act to kill me. According to their design, Chiyoshima Hitomi would have killed me. Then she would have been stripped of her Divine Envoy status, and someone else would have taken her place. But things didn't go as they wished; I didn't die, and neither did Chiyoshima Hitomi. In this whole plot, I was just an expendable Hero, someone who could be sacrificed at any moment.
