Chapter 353 - Han Yue and Xiang Ning
Finding the place where Sage Ruler Han Yue lectured proved surprisingly easy for Xiang Ning. She simply followed the sound of Han Yue's voice, arriving within an hour, her journey unimpeded.
At the foot of Mount Danxue, on a stretch of rocky terrain, a woman dressed in white sat upon a large boulder, a hundred swordswomen seated below, looking up at her with reverence and trust.
The woman was breathtakingly beautiful, bearing both elegant and heroic, her androgynous attire reminiscent of the wandering sword immortals depicted in the stories Xiang Ning had devoured in her youth, was Han Yue.
"Sage Ruler Han Yue… she seems… different." Xiang Ning had met Han Yue before, but the woman before her, though her features were unchanged, possessed a different aura. The sharp edges, the arrogance, had softened, replaced by a quiet serenity, like a sheathed sword.
Xiang Ning hid behind a tree, suppressing her aura, confident in her concealment. None of the swordswomen had even glanced in her direction.
"Hee hee! I wonder how Fan Li will praise me when he learns of the risks I've taken for him."
She was lost in these pleasant thoughts. A crucial detail escaped her: if her purpose was simply to analyze Han Yue's swordsmanship, she didn't need to be this close. Han Yue's lectures, amplified by spiritual energy, reached every corner of the hundred-mile territory. Her presence here was driven by curiosity, a desire to see the Sage Ruler firsthand.
"Wow! Sage Ruler Han Yue is beautiful! But… I'm beautiful too, aren't I? Just as beautiful…" she muttered to herself, unaware that Han Yue, her lecture momentarily paused, her brow furrowed, had sensed something.
Having compared their appearances, Xiang Ning remembered her mission. She focused on Han Yue's lecture, listening intently. Days turned into weeks.
"No! This is impossible!" On the nineteenth day, Xiang Ning's resolve finally crumbled. The gap… the immense gap… it wasn't between her and Han Yue's cultivation levels. That difference was expected. What tormented Xiang Ning was the vast disparity between Han Yue's swordsmanship and the techniques of the other Sage Rulers.
Compared to Han Yue's profound understanding of the Sword Dao, the other Sage Rulers' abilities seemed like insignificant parlor tricks.
Qing Qiu's teachings, her methods for analyzing and countering the Sage Rulers' techniques, were useless against Han Yue.
Xiang Ning stared at Han Yue, almost able to see the four distinct sword intents swirling around her. Nineteen days. Nineteen days of listening to Han Yue's lectures, her every word a revelation, had granted Xiang Ning a glimpse into the terrifying power of the Four Swords of Zhu Xian.

But their terrifying power also signified their flawless perfection. To counter them? Impossible! It was beyond mortal comprehension. The Four Swords were unbreakable.
"It's over… Fan Li, you idiot, if Sage Ruler Han Yue ever becomes your enemy, I won't be able to help you…" she whispered tear eyed. Had her dangerous journey been for nothing?
"Ding!"
The Dust Destiny Necklace vibrated.
A call from Fan Li?
The timing couldn't have been worse. She had complained about his infrequent calls, and now, when he finally contacted her, she was in no position to answer.
To answer, or not to answer? Of course she would answer. She practically leaped at the opportunity.
"Hello…" she whispered nervously.
"Your Majesty, is something wrong with your voice?" Fan Li's voice startled her.
Her face paled. She frantically gestured for him to be quiet, peering out from behind the tree. To her relief, Han Yue was instructing her disciples to practice their swordsmanship on the mountaintop. What fortunate timing!
The disciples departed, leaving Han Yue alone, meditating upon a large boulder.
"Fan Li, is something the matter?" Xiang Ning asked.
"Not really. There's something… I need to explain." During their previous conversation, he had glossed over a certain detail, a matter he now felt compelled to address: his relationship with Han Yue.
"Tell me! I'm listening!" Xiang Ning's eagerness was evident.
Fan Li chuckled wryly. He wondered if she would still be smiling after his explanation.
"Your Majesty, I once advised you not to concern yourself with Sage Ruler Han Yue. Do you recall?"
"Yes… I remember," she replied, slightly embarrassed. Should she tell him she had infiltrated the new Pure Land?
Before she could speak, Fan Li continued, "I… I was negligent. I forgot to mention… that Sage Ruler Han Yue and I… well…"
A woman's intuition, particularly regarding matters of the heart, was incredibly sharp. A man's hesitation only fueled her suspicions. Xiang Ning stared at Fan Li on the screen, a growing unease in her eyes.
Suddenly, a realization struck her. "Fan Li! What is your relationship with Sage Ruler Han Yue?!" Her voice, loud and clear, echoed across the rocky terrain.
She was so focused on confronting Fan Li that she hadn't realized how loud she had been.
Fan Li, too, stared at her, his mouth agape.
Then Xiang Ning noticed that his gaze was focused beyond her, towards something behind her. She turned and saw her. A figure dressed in white, a frost-covered sword at her side, standing silently.
"Sage Ruler Han Yue?!" Fan Li and Xiang Ning exclaimed in unison.
Fan Li was astonished. He hadn't expected to find Xiang Ning in Han Yue's company.
Xiang Ning, however, was horrified. Her outburst had revealed her presence.
"Is that… some kind of spirit treasure?" Han Yue asked while looking at the necklace around Xiang Ning's neck.
"It allows you to communicate with Fan Li?" There was a subtle hint of bitterness in her tone, a nuance only another woman would detect.
Jealousy flared within Xiang Ning, momentarily eclipsing her fear of Han Yue's power.
"Yes!" she declared with a hint of triumph in her voice. "The Dust Destiny Necklace. Mine is the Yin pendant. Fan Li possesses the Yang pendant. They're a pair."
Fan Li's eyes widened. A pair? What pair? Your Majesty, please clarify! This could be a disaster!
Han Yue nodded, her beautiful face betraying no emotion. Then, turning to Fan Li, she asked gently, "Husband, is this true?"
