Chapter 50: - The Fact That He is a Weak Person
The battle between Amane Rin and the Orc General was intense from the moment it began.
Both of them swung their weapons, the Nameless Sword and the Iron Ax, toward each other from a close distance. However, the swing of their weapons reached different destinations.
While the swing of the nameless sword wielded by Rin cuts the Orc General's body little by little, the swing of Iron Ax wielded by the Orc General was evaded by a hairbreadth and sometimes even parried by the Nameless Sword, resulting in not even one swing directly hitting Rin.
But by no means Rin was able to overwhelm the Orc General. Rather, it was the opposite. This was actually a situation born from Rin who could be killed if he received even a single blow from the Orc General while the Orc General didn't receive that much damage even after taking Rin's attacks.
‘What a troublesome situation. But I have no choice but to continue as it is.'
Rin's nerves were gradually worn down as he dodged the Orc General's attack. Even so, Rin had no choice but to continue this strategy. Because although it may be possible to deal great damage to the Orc General if Rin put all his power into a single blow, a gap would be created if he did that and the Orc General's attack would surely reach him too.
For Rin, avoiding the enemy's attacks was the highest priority above all else, this was what he called the Hit and Away strategy.
That was the fighting style Rin has built so far. And he just simply continued to do so even in a desperate situation like this.
Never adhere to the enemy's pace and impose my own speed-oriented strategy to the enemy.
This was unmistakably the only and the most effective fighting style that could be used by the weak.
So, did Rin's action with that kind of will in his mind bore fruit?
It could be seen from how the number of attacks Rin made gradually surpassed that of the Orc General.
◇◆◇
"Amazing…"
That battle was observed by Kurosaki Rei from a distance. She was simply astonished by the equal battle between Rin and the Orc General.
However, some questions came to her mind along with her astonishment.
First of all, how did Rin enter this closed boss room? And above all…How can he, who hadn't reached level 700 a week ago, fight on an equal footing against the Orc General?
No, from the start, it was already strange since Rin protected her from the Nameless Knight that was recommended to level 1500 to subjugate. Because even killing the Nameless Knight should have been an impressive feat for Rin a week ago. Despite that, Rin threw himself into a fight against even more powerful enemies as if he wasn't satisfied with that kind of feat alone.
Suddenly, Rei recalled the words that Kazami said a while ago.
In the past, King of Unique had a member who they believed was a hindrance to them. And his name was Amane Rin.
A man, who despite possessing a unique skill [Transfer Within Dungeon], was more incompetent than any other adventurers.
"Transfer…within dungeon?"
At that moment, Rei realized how Rin could enter the tightly closed boss room. Because as the name implies, Rin certainly doesn't need to enter from the gate if it's a skill that allows the user to freely transfer within the dungeon.
Even so, there was another question left in her mind.
How could Rin become this much stronger in a short period of time?
Even if he used his unique skill, it should be impossible to fight on an equal footing with an enemy that has about five times more levels than him. In that case, did he gain a great number of experiences by defeating a large number of superior monsters?
Rei shook her head because, although it was definitely the most realistic answer she could think of, it was still difficult to raise that many levels in just a week. That's natural, because unless he could ignore the re-challenge period and continuously receive the dungeon capture rewards, it should be impossible for Rin to be that strong–
"–Don't tell me."
–One possibility emerges in Rei's mind. It was a very crazy and ridiculous idea. However, that was the only idea she could think of to explain the scene in front of her.
At any rate, she could only confirm whether this idea was correct or not after surviving here. Because if Rin couldn't win against the Orc General, that time would not even come.
"Please win…Rin."
Rei muttered with both of her hands assuming a praying gesture.
Still, there is one last doubt. Although Rin was the only one whose attacks reached his opponent, Orc General, the situation has not leaned towards Rin yet.
If there was that much of a difference between Rin and Orc General to the point he couldn't defeat it even after he rained the Orc General with dozens of slashes… How could Rin keep looking forward and fight that kind of enemy?
That moment, Rei felt there was something in Rin that she, Kazami and the others who were despaired in front of a superior enemy didn't have.
◇◆◇
–Amane Rin knew he was a weak person.
Even so, he has fought against countless superior enemies until now. That's why, he understood more than anyone what are the most important things when fighting a superior enemy.
In battle, unnecessary emotions will only stand in the way.
Pride, carelessness, and even fear are also unnecessary.
Discard everything and concentrate only on the enemy before me.
Because the weak must bet everything.
To grasp the thin thread called victory that sways in front of me.
That way, fighting such inferior enemies will be the greatest fear for the superior one.
"Graaaaa!"
The situation turned into Rin being the only one swinging his sword to the enemy. Then, as if it thought it would be trampled at this rate, the Orc General roared and jumped backwards.
"I won't let you escape!"
Rin immediately kicked the ground powerfully and approached the escaping Orc General. However, the Orc General wasn't an enemy who would easily let Rin do as he wishes.
The Orc General raised its Iron Ax from its back to the front instead of from above and slammed it to the ground. As a result, the ground was destroyed and a large amount of debris scattered towards Rin.
"_"
There is too much debris coming and even if I dodged one of it, more will await me. Trying to avoid it while checking the position of the debris one by one will just slow me down and make me an easy target.
–In that case!
"Enemy Detection!"
Rin activated his skill [Enemy Detection].
It was basically the skill used to detect monsters and people. However, to be precise, it was actually a skill that senses magical powers in a specific range. Since the large amount of debris that flew toward me was a part of the dungeon, it naturally contained magic powers inside it.
By doing this, it became possible to grasp the position of all debris that came toward him from all angles, and Rin would be able to approach the Orc General in a short distance without slowing down.
As a result, the Orc General was late in wielding its iron ax because Rin's approach was earlier than the Orc General expectation.
In this situation, there was a high possibility that the Orc General would be severely damaged by a full power attack. That's why, Rin strengthened his step without hesitation but–
"Rin, it's dangerous!"
Rei's voice could be heard from behind. The Orc General's action was what made her reflexively scream as the Orc General threw its Iron Ax into the air and gripped both of its hands before swinging it down to Rin just like that.
Although the power of the attack was reduced, the hand was approaching Rin with the intention to crush him has its initial speed increased due to the disappearance of the heavy Iron Ax.
In terms of timing, Rin wouldn’t be able to avoid it in time and even if he stopped swinging his sword, a miserable end would surely await him too.
However…
"Too bad for you, I've experienced this kind of strategy before."
Rin muttered like that in a low voice before accelerating his speed further.
Then, the huge hands of the Orc General embedded in the ground where Rin previously stood a moment ago. In other words, the attack missed the target.
While feeling the impact behind, Rin advanced toward the Orc General.
___________
Gale Lv3: Speed + 30% (Consumes 10 MP per second)
__________–
[Gale] was an advanced skill that can be obtained when [High-speed movement] becomes level 10.
It was a skill that Rin acquired yesterday and was preserved due to the large amount of MP consumed to activate the skill, but Rin used it without hesitation here. Because by using that, he was able to avoid the previous attack of the Orc General.
However, perhaps because the speed became too fast, Rin drew too close to the Orc General in an instant. But even though it wasn't a good distance to swing his sword, Rin didn't waver.
"This is revenge–eat this!"
Along with a powerful step, Rin released an uppercut-like attack with his fist. Then, the Orc General's legs lifted slightly off the ground after receiving Rin's attack as if it was a critical hit.
Rin was able to reproduce the strategy of letting go of his weapon and attacking with his bare hands by using the [Item Box]–after using [Superhuman Strength] which is the advanced skill of [Herculean strength] similar to [Gale] that was the advanced skill of [High-speed movement].

Superhuman Strength Lv3: Attack Power + 30% (Consumes 10 MP per second)

"I'll finish it right here!"
Rin activated [Gale] and [Superhuman Strength] at the same time and once again took the Nameless Sword from his [Item Box]. As a result, his MP was drained like water, but he had no leeway to mind about such a thing because Rin intuitively knew that this was the final stage of the battle.
Thus, Rin began his final attacks.
On the ground, he runs around the Orc General’s body while at times cuts the torso and limbs that were full of openings as the center.
With this, it would be possible to give the Orc General a finishing blow but the next moment when Rin thought like that, the Orc General began its final struggle.
"Gooooooooooooooooo!"
The Orc General roared with all its might while forgetting to attack or even defend. Rin's body was blown away by the violent wind released by the Orc General's roar. But Rin managed to land safely albeit while losing his balance.
After driving back Rin's onslaught, the Orc General grabbed its Iron Ax once again and roared but this time more louder and longer as if wanting to raise its spirit with that roar.
Several seconds later, the satisfied Orc General was about to fight back with both of its eyes glowing red.
–But that was the last mistake it made in its last moment.
"_-Graaa!?"
Rin was nowhere to be seen in the place of the Orc General's line of sight. Because the time required for Rin to activate his skill has passed.
The Orc General's action actually made Rin able to buy the time that he needed the most right now. And as if to retaliate against it, what Rin did was strangely similar to the time when the Orc General summoned the Nameless Knights to buy some time to strengthen itself.
Then, the one who was able to find the disappeared Rin was Rei.
After muttering something in a low voice, Rin immediately disappeared–and the next moment he was already above the Orc General.
‘–As expected, Rin was…'
The moment Rei thought her hypothesis was right, Rin powerfully kicked the ceiling and flew toward the Orc General. Rin's body accelerated further by gravity and all that energy was transmitted to the Nameless Sword in his hand.
At this moment, Orc General finally noticed the whereabouts of Rin. Then, the Orc General hurriedly swung its Iron Ax to confront Rin who was already above without it knowing.
"Graaaaaaaaaa!"
"It's futile!"
However, Rin wasn't naive enough to be hit by a blow that the Orc General released in desperation as Rin ,who spun in the air and dodged the Iron Ax, converted even that kind of momentum into his attack power.
And then, the last moment finally came.
"This is the end!!!!!!!!!!"
That was surely an attack which Amane Rin put everything into the swing as the shining silver blade drew a half-moon in the air when Rin swung the sword.
And then, with the posture of after swinging a sword, Rin lands on one knee. Behind him, the Orc General's head slowly fell down from its neck.
After that, Rin, who slowly stood up while facing his back to the collapsed body of the Orc General, swung his Nameless Sword twice as if to wipe the blood on the blade.
Then–
"It's over, Rei."
–Said to Rei while laughing a little.
