Chapter 193 Kill Them All

Gathering Place No. 73, Dungeon Prison.

Li Hao slumped inside the filthy cell, his disheveled hair obscuring his features, wounds covering his body, while barbed chains pierced through his shoulder blades, locking him in place.

The blood from his wounds had long dried up. The mighty strength of an eighth-tier Transcendent was utterly useless under such severe injuries, barely sustaining a thread of life.

The whole dungeon prison contained only Li Hao.

The reason was simple. In a resource-scarce post-apocalyptic environment, the gathering place had no extra resources to sustain prisoners. Even food, barely enough to maintain life, would cause a scramble outside.

Under such circumstances, only those of the high echelons, guilty of serious crimes yet untouchable due to their extraordinary status, could be imprisoned.

Back when Li Hao had swept away other factions in the gathering place and cemented his position as the leader, he had overseen the construction of this dungeon, imprisoning numerous high-ranking individuals who stood on the wrong side.

He never expected that the dungeon's final guest would be himself, causing him to reflect on the unpredictability of fate.

At this moment, the dungeon door slowly opened, and a tall figure strode into the prison, followed closely by two sixth-tier Transcendents as guards.

"Leader Li, it's been a long time!"

A voice tinged with mockery echoed in the dungeon. Li Hao forced his eyes open, glanced at the speaker and the two Transcendents behind, then closed his eyes, ignoring them.

"Imprisoned for two months, Leader Li is still as proud as ever, worthy of being the number one figure of Gathering Place No. 73.

Of course, that was in the past."

The cell door opened, and the tall figure crouched in front of Li Hao, speaking softly:

"Back when Leader Li was in power, you never even gave me a glance. Did you ever anticipate today?"

Li Hao squinted his eyes and responded lazily:

"Yu Mingyu, you got something wrong."

"Oh?"

"Even now, I won't look at you."

The smile on Yu Mingyu's face vanished instantly, and he kicked Li Hao in the chest.

"Boom!"

The massive force slammed Li Hao against the wall, tearing his wounds once more as the chains through his shoulder blades yanked, quickly staining his prison clothes with fresh blood.

Yu Mingyu watched Li Hao coldly: "You choose punishment over leniency!"

Li Hao took several deep breaths, suppressing the blood in his throat, and despite his sorry state, he spoke with a nonchalant smile:

"Hahaha! You lost it!"

Furious, Yu Mingyu was about to strike again but was held back by a sixth-tier Transcendent guard behind him.

"Stop, the task is more important!"

Although Yu Mingyu was supposed to be the leader, the sixth-tier Transcendent's tone was unceremonious, even slightly commanding.

Yu Mingyu's face darkened, but ultimately, he did not continue, instead, he coldly questioned Li Hao:

"Does the escaped Underworld Envoy have other means? Can he contact the Underworld?"

Li Hao, upon hearing this, didn't respond, instead nodding thoughtfully.

"So that's it."

After saying this, his smile grew even brighter.

Yu Mingyu, enraged, stood aside as a sixth-tier Transcendent punched beside Li Hao.

The tremendous booming sound shook the entire dungeon, and the scorching flames burned through the concrete cell, turning into molten lava that dripped continuously beside Li Hao.

The searing heat gradually ignited the tattered prisoner's garb, and his scattered hair curled, emitting a burnt odor.

Facing this close-to-death threat, Li Hao was unfazed, instead looking up to gaze at the sixth-tier Transcendent who attacked him.

"You don't dare to kill me."

"Over three months ago, when the Envoy left Gathering Place No. 73, you attempted to attack me, but ultimately, due to concerns over the Envoy and the Underworld behind him, you refrained.

As the Envoy gradually faded from sight, you propped up this waste and imprisoned me here under the guise of internal disputes.

As long as the Envoy is alive, you have to keep me alive, fearing that I might suddenly die without explanation."

Saying this, Li Hao tilted his body, aiming to fall into the adjacent lava pool.

Under normal circumstances, an eighth-tier Transcendent, without using an Extraordinary Ability, could easily withstand the high temperature of the lava.

But after two months of torment in the dungeon, Li Hao was weak to the extreme, diving into the lava was akin to courting death.

The sixth-tier Transcendent who struck showed a trace of fear, grabbed the falling Li Hao, and tossed him aside.

"Madman! You truly are a madman!"

Li Hao burst into laughter, but his damaged organs quickly turned the laughter into severe coughing, blood mixed with fragments of his organs.

In the cell, the three men looked at Li Hao with unpleasant expressions.

According to orders from above, they had to ensure Li Hao couldn't die.

Yet Li Hao's wanton taunting made them reluctant to help him.

After a bout of violent coughing that seemed intent on expelling all his organs, Li Hao looked at the group with contempt and said:

"Ever since last month's interrogation, you've not set foot in the dungeon for a whole month.

This time, you're in such a rush and acting so timidly. Let me guess, what has happened?"

As he spoke, a bizarre smile appeared at the corner of Li Hao's mouth.

"If nothing else, the Envoy has returned, and he brought the Underworld army with him.

You've received word, but it's too far away to confirm its truth. So you came to verify with me?"

At these words, fear appeared deeply etched on the faces of Yu Mingyu and others.

Not just because of Li Hao's insight, but more due to the legendary Underworld Envoy behind him.

In fact, more than a month ago, the tales of the Underworld circulated to gathering point 73. However, having just overthrown Li Hao and with unclear messages, various factions didn't pay much heed.

Yet, as time passed, news of the Underworld descending and Yin Soldiers crossing to massacre zombies spread wider, reaching unsettling exaggerations.

Some claim the Underworld's army can decimate a million zombies in a city of ruins within a day, while others say it can wipe out ten thousand zombies across multiple towns in half an hour, easily crushing the ninth-tier Corpse King.

Though most believe the news is false, even one or two parts being true is enough to incite fear.

Gathering his strength, Yu Mingyu shouted sternly:

"Do you truly think just one Underworld Envoy can save you?

He was driven away by many strong beings before, and even now returning with the Yin Soldiers army, his power would be no more than that of a ninth-tier Transcendent.

In the entire gathering point 73 alone, there are two ninth-tier Transcendents secretly stationed trying to catch the Underworld Envoy. In various gathering points, there are over ten ninth-tier Transcendents paying close attention to this matter, even more powerful tenth or eleventh-tier ones!

Can he alone suppress everyone?"

As his voice faded, a thunderous rumble sounded outside the dungeon.

It seemed an invisible pressure suddenly enveloped the entire number 73, and an endless darkness swallowed the light from above the sky, leaving a pitch-black view through the dungeon's window.

Yu Mingyu was shocked abruptly and quickly questioned:

"What is happening?"

Before the two sixth-tier Transcendents could connect with the outside, it seemed the world suddenly fell into an instant freeze, halting their movements.

Yu Mingyu frowned and asked: "What are you doing?"

He reached out and patted one of the sixth-tier Transcendents' shoulder, and the next moment, a red fissure slowly spread, causing the Transcendent's front half to crash forward.

This powerful sixth-tier Transcendent was silently sliced vertically in half, the cut smooth like a mirror, with the heart beating, lungs writhing, and blood vessels crisscrossed clearly visible.

Blood spurted forth, blossoming into eerie blood flowers on the cell floor, a thick scent of blood permeating the air.

Yu Mingyu froze, eyes wide, looking towards the other person, only to see their body also slowly splitting in half.

Two mighty beings in the gathering point, rendered thoroughly dead silently.

Only Li Hao, seated on the ground, showed no fear, murmuring quietly:

"He's here!"

The next moment, the entire dungeon seemed split in half by an invisible Blade of Space, unveiling the outside scene from the collapsed gaps.

Over three months prior, gathering point 73 had seen a gathering of over a hundred strong beings, including thirteen ninth-tier ones, aiming to seize the Underworld Envoy's legacy.

Without anyone knowing, they occupied gathering point 73 and its surrounding areas, controlling everyone to trace the Envoy's whereabouts.

Yet with the Envoy's whereabouts unknown, most of these strong beings gradually departed, leaving behind two ninth-tier and dozens of fourth to eighth-tier Transcendents to hold the situation, hoping to catch the hidden reward.

And today, they finally got an answer.

Only after Lu Yan acted did they realize they weren't waiting for a rabbit but a Godzilla in rabbit skin.

Above the sky, thousands of Yin Soldiers formed grand formations, using Yin Wind Nether Fire to smelt ninth-tier Transcendents, their agonizing cries clearly audible even in the dungeon.

Within the gathering point, many powerful Transcendents fled frantically, yet under the Heaven and Earth Net transformed by the Soul Hook, they had no resistance.

It was a one-sided slaughter!

Yu Mingyu, unable to suppress his inner terror any longer, made a desperate attempt to flee but barely took two steps before he collided with a figure.

"Thud!"

He jerked his head up, finding it was actually Xu Kuan, one of the ninth-tier Transcendents stationed at the gathering point.

At this moment, Xu Kuan lost his former arrogance, his body covered in deep wounds reaching the bone, his renowned Golden Body Divine Techniques failing to protect him from those injuries.

"Lord Xu, you've come to..."

Yu Mingyu instinctively spoke, but suddenly realized something seemed off about Xu Kuan standing before him.

That dignified face now wore a stiff and eerie smile, a faint scratch spreading gradually across his neck.

The next second, a round head fell from Xu Kuan's body, the neck's cut smooth as a mirror.

Simultaneously, the mournful wailing from the sky ceased.

In the dusky sky, only one person wielding the Soul Banner stepped into the cell, a casual voice slowly resonating:

"Third one."
