At sunset, the trio discovered a stone cliff over a hundred meters high ahead, surrounded by dense woods. They decided to climb the precipice to rest overnight.

After dinner, the last vestiges of sunset disappeared, and darkness quickly fell. On this island, home to many primordial ferocious beasts, the night was just as perilous.

Choosing to rest on the cliff was wise, as many savage and ferocious beasts roamed the forest when darkness fell, their roars echoing incessantly.

It was an unbearably hot night, with clouds looming over the island but not a drop of rain. As night deepened, it was so dark that one couldn't see their hand in front of their face. The endless forests in the distance merged with the darkness, and no trace of the landscape was visible.

In the middle of the night, a massive roar reverberated, shaking the entire cliff as if it were quaking. The forest was swept by a ferocious gust of wind, carrying the faint scent of blood and evil Qi.

Prince Feng and Liu Yue immediately closed their hearing as the thunderous roar buffeted their ears, making them feel turbulent air flows. If they hadn't protected their eardrums in time, they would have burst!

With a stroke of the sword, blood burst forth!

Facing away from Xiao Chen and bewildered by the wild beast, Prince Feng screamed as his right arm was slashed off and sent spiralling down the cliff.

Determined to kill!

All of this happened in an instant, with no pause in between!

Liu Yue was fatally wounded. Prince Feng, though astute, couldn't sense anything amiss. However, his sharp intuition alerted him to the danger, and he instinctively evaded the killing blow. Unfortunately, his right arm was lost forever.

Xiao Chen had been waiting for the right moment! The terrifying sound waves engulfed heaven and earth. Prince Feng and Liu Yue temporarily lost their senses and were temporarily mesmerized by the horrifying beast. At last, Xiao Chen had the chance to attack.

Liu Yue's screams were drowned by the deafening roar of the beast, but she was not dead yet. Shaking, she launched herself at Xiao Chen. Meanwhile, the single-armed Prince Feng, smeared in blood and howling, swiped the sword towards Xiao Chen with his left hand.

Amidst the whistling wind, a radiant red light exploded from the top of the cliff. The dazzling light completely enveloped the peak. The single-armed Prince Feng also jumped down without any hesitation. The horrifying light swallowed up the top of the cliff, and the scent of death filled the air.

Below lay endless trees. Many sky-reaching ancient trees stood tens of meters tall. As Xiao Chen descended into the canopy, he used his hands and feet to relieve the impact. Each branch was an amulet for his protection.
