Chapter 33: Chapter 33: Only a Kiss Can Make It Better
"Hahaha, this is hilarious. What a useless weakling of a master!" The twin-tailed fox girl laughed mockingly at Ye Feng.
"The hypnosis you used was broken so easily—proving, once again, that you're simply no good."
Ye Feng smiled calmly. "How do you know I didn't set it up deliberately, based on Aponia's mental strength? The whole point was to keep her in a 'half-awake, half-asleep' state."
"Really? I don't believe it."
"For someone like Aponia, a fusion warrior who specializes in mental abilities, even without using 'Hypnosis (Absolute),' it would be impossible for her to wake up with just 'Hypnosis (Deep).'"
"Oh-hoho, all that's left of you, weakling master, is your big talk. What do you gain by doing this?"
"I don't know about gains, but it brings me pleasure."
As the first rays of sunlight filtered through the window, the fox girl, Hellmaru, suddenly knelt on the red carpet. Her tail wagged like a puppy's.
She crawled toward Ye Feng, using her teeth to open a carton of milk.
While drinking her breakfast milk, she sneered, "Admit it, weakling master, you're just no good. If it were me, that level of hypnosis wouldn't work at all."
"Of course, Hellmaru, the esteemed headmistress of the Sacred Convent, the number one Red Lotus Saintess on the continent, wouldn't be affected," Ye Feng teased, gently patting her head and pinching her cheeks as he checked her status.
Name: Hiyukumaru
Status: Hypnosis (Deep), Cognitive Alteration
Character Setting: Outwardly a Red Lotus Saintess, she is secretly a Twilight Witch devoted to the evil god Taizuros, seeking to summon his true form from the endless void. She has infiltrated the Sacred Convent to erode the purity of the goddess' power on earth. Personality: bratty and mischievous, cold on the outside but warm within. Loves strong morning milk.
Hellmaru had forgotten who caused her belly to swell. She even believed that her "big belly" was entirely normal.
Looking down at the kneeling Hiyukumaru, Ye Feng asked, "Isn't playing with you like this a bit excessive?"
"Hmm? Weakling master playing with me?" Hiyukumaru chuckled and slurped her milk, laughing uncontrollably.
"Well, as long as you're okay with it. I've been recording everything, so when the simulation ends, don't start crying about it."
After patting her head and straightening his clothes, Ye Feng left the principal's office. He had set a condition: when life essence surged, Aponia would "awaken." But that was part of his agreement with Aponia—what did it have to do with Hiyukumaru?
In the year 1992 of the Goddess Calendar, the elven goddess of the Light Domain foretold the coming of the "Evil God."
"Desire and greed stir in the dark, as evil claws soaked in blood reveal themselves."
"To prepare for the calamity eight years later, the nations began selecting 'Saintesses' capable of hearing the goddess's will."
"Hm... why does this feel like it's turning into a Western fantasy story?"
"And pure saintesses battling filthy monsters—this is totally the plot of certain novels. How thrilling!"
Feng, as the only male in the Sacred Convent, naturally became the center of attention.
But to Aponia, it was nothing short of a heavy burden...
Inside the cathedral, sunlight streamed through the arched windows, casting half of the goddess's statue in light while the other half remained in shadow.
The nun who had been praying stood up, her long, shapely legs glowing pale white as she walked elegantly in high heels. Aponia gazed worriedly at the boy in front of her, still young enough to be called a child. Today was his birthday—he had just turned eighteen.
Yet, it was as if time had stopped for him; his development seemed frozen. Aponia's heart ached for him.
"Xiao Feng, are you heading to the battlefield tomorrow?" she asked.
"I'm not sure, maybe."
"..." Hearing this, Aponia fell silent, her hands nervously fidgeting with her skirt.
"Don't worry so much. I'm strong, you know."
"You're going to fight the 'Star Gods,' right? Facing such unspeakable horrors, you cannot afford to be careless," Aponia said, her voice filled with concern.
Ye Feng looked at her, his gaze steady. "To protect what I cherish, and to return to the place I call home, I'll fight like I always have, and I'll survive."
"Mm, I believe you can do it, Xiao Feng."
"After the war, I'll come back and marry," he declared.
Aponia's hand, which had been reaching to pat his head, froze in mid-air before she quietly pulled it back, smiling. "Oh? So Xiao Feng has someone he likes."
"Yep! Will Mama Aponia support me?"
Aponia turned her head, averting her gaze. "...No matter what decision you make, Xiao Feng, I'll support you."
Hearing her words, Ye Feng smiled and said something he often said in the solemn cathedral:
"Mama Aponia, I'm hungry."
Feeding someone within the cathedral, such an act of blasphemy, would normally be a violation of the sacred commandments. But by now, the nun had grown accustomed to it.
This time, however, Aponia felt no swelling in her body. Instead, a coldness crept over her, chilling her to the bone.
"...Why?" Aponia trembled, looking at Ye Feng. "Xiao Feng, I... I didn't..."
Without the necessary substance to control his entropy regression disorder, Xiao Feng would continue to "regress," until he eventually disappeared into nothingness.
Ye Feng frowned, momentarily panicked, before calmly analyzing the situation. "Milk is a liquid secreted by the body. Maybe other fluids could have the same effect."
"Other... fluids?" Aponia's eyes widened as she realized what he meant, her gaze falling on her own lips.
Though she was a devout nun, her lips were a vibrant pink, like the petals of a fresh morning rose—tempting and full of life.
Their eyes met.
Aponia instantly understood Ye Feng's intent, and her face flushed red. "No!"
Ye Feng shook his head and raised his voice.
"I can't keep making the same mistakes! I won't let Aponia-Mama face such a dilemma again!"
"I'm not troubled...," she whispered.
"We can't—this is just speculation. It might not even work."
"How would we know without trying?"
Aponia's hesitant eyes grew firm in an instant. "I can't make the same mistake again."
"But I can't...!"
Ye Feng struggled, but Aponia's unwavering gaze pinned him down.
"Xiao Feng," she said softly, "please, entrust your body and mind to me."
As she spoke, golden arms of light seemed to extend from behind her, holding Ye Feng in place like a vice. The golden light filled the cathedral, and Ye Feng felt something incredibly soft and warm pressing against his lips...
