Chapter 609: The Game Has Begun... (Part 3)
"This is absolutely intolerable!"
"Iraq's nuclear ambitions are a catastrophic poison for peace in the Middle East and the world! History has already proven: when Saddam's tanks rolled across the Kuwait border, he threatened to use 'weapons of mass destruction' against the international community; when United Nations inspectors demanded a thorough inspection of his arsenal, he wove a web of lies, hiding chemical weapons beneath hospitals and schools. If such a regime gains control of a nuclear button, who can guarantee that Baghdad won't launch nuclear bombs worldwide? Who can assert he won't turn the Middle East into a radioactive wasteland for his oil dominance?!"
"What is even more outrageous is that Iraq's nuclear program itself is a betrayal of the international order! Iraq signed the 'Non-Proliferation Treaty,' yet secretly colluded with certain individuals to acquire enriched uranium, constructing the Osirak reactor under the guise of 'peaceful research.' When Israel destroyed the facility in 1981, Saddam howled for 'revenge,' yet concealed one fact: but for those two minutes of air raids, he was just a step away from the bomb! Today, we absolutely cannot allow history to repeat itself!"
"But I also couldn't imagine that Israel, which once stood alone, now stands with the opponent, what is this? What are they confronting?"
"What do they want!"
"Mr. Chairman, Saddam's regime's connection with terrorism has long ceased to be a secret—he once awarded 'martyr bonuses' to the families of suicide bombers, and his agents shared chemical weapon technology with the 'al-Qaeda' organization. If nuclear materials fall into the hands of terrorists, New York, London, and Tokyo could become the next 'Chernobyl,' and now he is mingling with the Zionist forces carrying out massacres in the Middle East, that's the greatest threat to humanity."
"Gentlemen, yesterday's Nazi, today's Jewish!!"
"We call on the Security Council:
Immediately freeze all overseas assets related to Iraq and Israel!
Demand both sides to discuss this issue immediately!
Demand Iraq to stop the relevant research immediately.
If we allow the viper its fangs, the next victim will be all of humanity! Thank you all!"
He bowed to the crowd.
Among the audience, some were deep in thought, some feigned sleep, some had complex expressions, and others sneered.
"It's the Mexicans who disrupt order, now that others are doing it, they don't feel comfortable." The Polish person muttered with a group of small nation representatives sitting at the back.
"Shhh, don't let him hear it, otherwise, he might stand up and beat you up later." Someone reminded.
The remark left no room for rebuttal, and with a dark expression, the Polish person actually felt a bit scared. Looking at the stage, someone else was stepping up, and he knew it wouldn't end soon. Shaking his head, he said, "I'm going to the cafeteria to get something to eat, are you coming?"
"Let's go, let's go, let's go together."
Three or four people walked out from the back door, took a breath of fresh air, grumbling at each other as they headed to the cafeteria.
When they reached the cafeteria entrance, they didn't notice anyone and the Polish representative at the front bumped into a food cart, which tipped over, and clutching his sore thigh said discontentedly, "Hey..."
Before he could finish, his eyes fell on... an MP5 that had fallen out of the cart!
Inside the United Nations Headquarters, it was not permissible to carry such weapons.
The Polish representative raised his head in astonishment, and the air suddenly went silent...
"Shit!! Get them! Get them!" The person pushing the cart pressed his earpiece, speaking while pulling out a pistol and shooting at the four people, hitting their heads.
He picked up the MP5, grinning malignantly.
"The game has begun!!!"
