Working as a police officer in Mexico

Chapter 608: Truly a Beautiful Sight!

"The last bullet, whoever talks too much, I'll kill them!!"

In the conference room, Erich Manstein's gun was pointed at this group of Europeans.

The British swallowed hard.

The French forced a smile.

The German said nothing, with a stern expression.

It's funny to think about it, during World War II these three countries were on separate sides, France being "swaying", joining when they couldn't win, switching sides when the situation turned.

But Italy was outside the three realms, not in the five elements.

To pull off something like this is rare.

Even within the Mexican Army, there was a discussion about whether to involve them...

It's quite detrimental to Feng Shui.

Erich Manstein saw everyone quieting down, raised an eyebrow, and said, "Can we now sit down and talk calmly?"

Seeing no one speaking, he turned off the safety on the pistol and placed it on the table, for if it went off by accident it would be a joke, and picked up the command baton pointing to the map behind him:

"According to the Staff Department's operational plan, we will divide into eastern and western fronts, the east will be commanded by the United Kingdom, comprising 12 countries including France, Italy, Netherlands, Denmark, and Sweden."

"Mainly responsible for attacking the Cali Cartel!"

"While the west will consist of the Mexican Army and other Allies, the target is the Medellin Cartel."

"Does anyone have any objections to this?"

Erich Manstein squinted his eyes toward the British delegation, sitting at the front was a senior officer in a military uniform, hair slicked back neatly, with a stern face and unsmiling.

This person was quite famous.

Sir Peter Delabriere!

He participated in the Korean War, the 1956 Egypt War, took part secretly as a Special Forces member in the Malaysian Civil War, Brunei Civil War, Arman Civil War, and Yemen Civil War. He also participated as a high-level commander of the British Army in the Falklands War and the 1991 Gulf War.

During the Gulf War, he served as a commander of the British Army, demonstrating exceptional performance and exhibiting outstanding military talent and experience in commanding modern warfare.

He's not young anymore, nearly 70 years old, yet hasn't retired...

This highlights the serious gap in British military leadership.

Hearing Erich Manstein's orders, the young officers behind the senior general smiled, who were they?

Great Britain!

They surely couldn't just follow Mexico!

They needed to showcase their own might.

And Sir Peter Delabriere looked up, eyes sharp, seeing Manstein's young face, his expression still somewhat complex.

A Vice Admiral with real power under 30!

This is nearly impossible to find around the world, especially in seniority-heavy Britain, where he took nearly 50 years to reach this position, now having to be led by someone younger, can he balance his feelings?

The division into eastern and western lines was also his suggestion.

"Good, if there are no objections then go arrange it."

Erich Manstein had just announced the end of the meeting when he saw a staff officer rushing in, "Commander, latest intelligence."

He said as he handed it over.

The generals from various countries at the door immediately took interest, turning their heads to look.

Erich Manstein's expression turned strange, as if seeing something quite outrageous.

"Commander, what is the intelligence?" the Italian asked curiously.

"Iraq announced it will provide military aid to the Medellin and Cali Cartels and also declared the successful testing of its first atomic bomb."

The first half of the statement drew one expression...

Hearing the latter half was like: (゜ロ゜)ギョェ!

"Wardafak?!!"

Many people were truly panicked, for two years ago they were all leaning on Iraq, under the leadership of "America", brutally bullying the underperforming student, beating the then arrogant Saddam until he called them daddy.

Everyone felt good about it back then.

But now... he has weapons of mass destruction?

This cannot be tolerated!

Sir Peter Delabriere also panicked, "Is this information accurate?"

"He announced it himself, our intelligence department will investigate this, rest assured everyone, the weapons of justice will always be in the camp of justice!" said Erich Manstein in a deep voice.

Everyone looked at each other, then hurriedly left the meeting room to discuss the matter with their countries.

A single misstep...

Saddam could very well go to great lengths.

On August 9, from the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and even on research ships at the world's end in Antarctica, Saddam's speech was published.

It was highly provocative!

"Sons and daughters of Iraq, children of Arab glory, brave and fearless warriors!!

"In the name of the most merciful, the most compassionate True X!

"Today is a great day! A day destined to be carved into the monument of history, making even the sun pale in comparison! I, Saddam Hussein, President of the Republic of Iraq, leader of the revolution, and commander of the great struggle, announce to you — my loyal, resilient, and noble subjects — an unrivaled sacred victory gifted by the True X!!!"

"Our holy scientists, our steel-like warriors, under the guidance and protection of the True X, have after countless nights and days of struggle and sacrifice, successfully achieved our nation's greatest, most glorious scientific miracle — we possess our own powerful, invincible atomic weapons!!!"

"Yes, my compatriots! You heard right! The ultimate power once held only by arrogant oppressors is now the most indestructible shield of Iraq people's sovereignty and dignity! It has become the Sword of Damocles of True X justice, hanging over the heads of all who dare to bully us, divide us, pollute our sacred land!"
