Working as a police officer in Mexico

Chapter 581: When the Fanzhen Are Strong, North America Is Weak; When the Fanzhen Are Weak, North America Perishes! (Part 4)

President Paul nodded slightly,

"Connect me to the front line of the 148th Regiment."

The people around didn't understand, but they still helped dial the phone.

"Hello—"

Paul held the handset, "Who's the commander of the 148th Regiment?"

"Major Leant Rose!"

He nodded, "Major Leant, this is Paul Constantine Stuart."

"Mr. President, hello!"

The person on the other end spoke with a strong accent, which satisfied Paul, "The evil forces of the United States are approaching our land, I hope you can hold them back."

"For Texas! For President Paul!"

These words hit the nail on the head for him, especially the latter part.

He had long envied how Victor's army would rally before marching with cries of: "Long live Victor!"

Just five simple words, he had longed to hear.

"If you need anything, ask now."

Major Leant Rose paused and then spoke softly, "Oh, Mr. President, we haven't had ice cream for a week, and even the Coca-Cola isn't the original! I've heard the Camel cigarettes meant for us have been wholesaled by those bastards at the back to profiteers. Even our chewing gum is ending up in the mouths of those Mexican stepdaughters, I hope I can get more supplies."

"I grew up in Texas, and with these, I and my soldiers will dedicate our lives for my land!"

These words left Paul Constantine Stuart with mixed emotions.

"No problem, besides that, I will ensure the logistics send up cigarettes and liquor, making sure every soldier gets some, and I also promote you to Colonel, my Texas boy."

"Rest assured, victory will ultimately be ours!"

After hanging up the phone, Mr. President was still in high spirits, saying to those around him, "I have seen my soldiers and officers fearless of death, they are warriors, be sure to let today's words spread to all the people of Texas, so they know the Lone Star State is forever brilliant."

In the office, there were "educated men" whose main responsibility was to relay such inspiring words.

"I want to go to the front line..." As Paul Constantine Stuart said this, his brother Lawrence and others immediately looked displeased, but before they could persuade him, an air raid alarm suddenly sounded in the city!

Woo—

Woo woo—

Woo woo woo—

"Quick, quickly to the air-raid shelter."

The group protected Paul as they ran downstairs.

Meanwhile, at the 148th Regiment in Hereford, Major Leant Rose, with a cigarette in his mouth, looked at the deputy officer in front of him, "The President promised to send us a batch of cigarettes and liquor. Find someone to sell them, just look for John; he's quick with the money."

Alright then...

It seems like he's quite seasoned at this.

The deputy officer looked somewhat pale, "New Mexico is no match, we are the first line, but our anti-tank weapons, the M72 LAW rocket launchers, and M15 anti-tank mines, all ... all have been sold out!"

"All gone?" Major Leant Rose was taken aback.

The deputy nodded, "The Russian arms dealers offered too much money, I wasn't paying attention and sold it all, now what? Brother-in-law."

Seems like their relationship is clear now.

"What are you afraid of, in wartime the higher-ups don't give out bonuses, not many people are in it for the money, when the time comes, just fire a few shots and retreat, it's a gesture of respect for Mr. President."

"Wouldn't there be problems?"

"We're not the only ones selling weapons, what's to fear, Paul doesn't have the guts to oppose us, no worries, relax."

The deputy gently nodded.

But still appeared a bit nervous.

How long has it been, and the military readiness in Texas has become this corrupt?!

Really feels like we've been... by the Indians.
