Chapter 250: Stone of Fortune (Part 3)
When the mist cleared away, a purple-black crystal the size of a fist lay quietly in the center of the stone.
Sparks of electricity flickered continuously on its surface, and inside, a flame seemed to burn eternally.
"Congratulations, sir, this should be an Abyss Crystal, a specialty of the 3rd Floor 'Black Sand Wilderness.' It contains a high concentration of Abyssal Energy and can add abyssal traits to weapons if integrated."
Ethan, standing by, also recognized it this time, having apparently encountered such an energy crystal before:
"I had the fortune of seeing such a crystal in an exploration team, though it's not as valuable as the 'Heart-devouring Stone,' worth only two Magic Stones, but it's undoubtedly a big profit."
The crowd gasped in amazement, and some started whispering about Ron's luck and keen eye.
Opening two stones consecutively with high-value items was a rare occurrence in the stone gambling world.
Ron maintained a calm expression, but inwardly he was satisfied with his gain.
He turned his attention to the last stone—a mysterious rock exhibiting spatial distortion traits in Extraordinary Recognition.
Outwardly, this stone showed no obvious differences from the other two.
But upon touching it, one could feel an abnormal chill, as if it could absorb the warmth from one's fingers.
Ron took a deep breath and focused all his Spiritual Power on the stone, searching for that deeply hidden energy circuit.
This time, instead of cutting the stone open directly, he used the tip of his knife to draw a complex Rune on the stone's surface and then gently pierced the center point.
"Crack—"
A crisp cracking sound was heard as the stone split open from the center, and cracks extended outward along odd spiral patterns, eventually separating completely.
A dazzling blue light burst forth, illuminating the entire shop interior, forcing the surrounding people to close their eyes against the blinding brightness.
When the light subsided, everyone saw clearly the treasure at the stone's center.
It was a deep-blue gemstone the size of a pigeon egg, as if containing an endlessly profound starry sky within.
Star points twinkled, spiral arms rotated, and tiny space ripples continually undulated on its surface, seeming to devour the surrounding air.
The entire shop fell into a deathly silence, everyone rendered speechless by the gem's awe.
This was clearly beyond the realm of ordinary stone gambling, entering the domain of extraordinary treasure.
Colin's expression was utterly frozen, purple crystal eyes frantically flashing.
His complexion shifted from red to green to white, finally settling into a dull gray tone.
His lips trembled slightly, and he was unable to speak for a moment.
"Void... Void Gem."
Colin's voice was so weak it was almost inaudible.
This type of gem typically only appeared in the Abyss Sixth Layer 'Maze Domain.'
The Void Gem can affect small-scale space structures, create high-capacity Space Equipment, and serve as a Casting medium for short-distance teleportation.
Standing nearby, Ethan swallowed hard, his eyes reflecting complex emotions:
"Wizard sir... the value of this Void Gem... at least equivalent to four thousand Magic Stone Fragments, maybe even more..."
The crowd erupted with suppressed exclamations, some even unconsciously stepped back, as if fearing the gem could trigger a space collapse at any moment.
Items capable of affecting space are among the most precious and dangerous existences in the Extraordinary World.
Ron kept his expression unchanged and carefully placed the Void Gem into a specially made Crystal Box.
Such a treasure must be properly preserved, lest its emitted energy cause unpredictable effects on the surrounding environment.
"Seems like luck is on my side today."
His tone remained calm, as if he had merely picked up a coin instead of a fabulously valuable treasure.
Ethan stood nearby, his mouth agape wide enough to fit an egg, eyes bulging as if he had forgotten the basic physiological need to breathe.
Once he regained his composure, he immediately looked toward Colin, finding the owner's face twisted in utter displeasure, which surged a sense of satisfaction within him.
He had previously suffered multiple losses at this stone gambling shop, each time nearly driven to fury by Colin's two-faced smile.
Now seeing him falter at Ron's hands, especially losing three extraordinarily precious gems at once, was utterly satisfying.
"Con... congratulations, Wizard sir, on your streak of good fortune."
Colin forced himself to suppress his deep regret, barely managing to squeeze out a smile that was more like crying:
"The value of these three treasures far exceeds what you paid, truly... heaven-sent luck."
Ron nodded slightly:
"Stone gambling relies greatly on an eye for detail, but also, thanks to the owner for providing such an opportunity."
"Not surprising for an Official Wizard, even his choice of stones is so discerning."
A bystander remarked, awe filling their voice.
Evidently, everyone present tacitly agreed that Ron possessed some sort of Insight ability, attributing his treasure-finding success to his own capabilities.
This is the advantage of having sufficient inherent strength.
If he were still an Apprentice, he would likely face numerous attempts to seize his treasures, perhaps even from owner Colin himself.
But now... Ron placed the three treasures into a Spatial Bag and nodded to Colin.
The latter had to bow in return, thanking him for bringing in today's revenue.
