Chapter 216: Witch King Decree_3
"They care not only about the growth potential of a genius."
Soron said meaningfully:
"It's also about the value of that pure blessing, which only a Primordial Wizard promoted through the Path of Truth can grant, having an effect even on Great Wizards and higher beings."
Hayek nodded, a flash of understanding in his eyes:
"This is the true reason behind the decrees made by the Witch Kings.
Throughout the entire Ring Abyss Continent Group, there's little power that can affect those of their level, and pure blessing is one of them."
"Speaking of blessings..."
Hayek's gaze suddenly sharpened as he looked at Soron and Yuni:
"I've noticed the two of you seem to be doing much better than before recently."
Soron and Yuni exchanged a smile, not responding immediately.
Hayek observed the two closely—Soron's skin was healthier than usual, his eyes clearer and sharper.
Moreover, he exuded a pure aura from inside out, as if the spiritual contamination accumulated over the years had been swept away.
Yuni's changes were even more evident.
She looked at least ten years younger, with a few purple strands among her silver-white hair.
The wrinkles on her face had reduced significantly, and the brilliance in her eyes was more vibrant than before.
"You've both received Ron's blessing?"
Hayek almost asserted, his tone carrying a hint of disguised amazement.
Faced with the direct question, Soron and Yuni maintained their mysterious smiles, neither confirming nor denying.
"There's no need to hide it."
Yuni eventually spoke, her voice tinged with a trace of delight:
"That child's blessing is indeed very special, with a purity far exceeding regular, and its effect lasts longer than those of ordinary apprentices."
Soron nodded in agreement:
"The most incredible part is the purification effect. The spiritual contamination accumulated in me over the years has reduced by nearly thirty percent after coming into contact with his blessing."
"And we didn't even intentionally guide it; this was merely the natural effect."
Yuni added, her eyes sparkling with amazement:
"If he succeeds in advancing to Primordial Wizard, the effect of the blessing will be even more astounding."
Hayek's expression became complex, with both surprise and a tinge of regret:
"It seems I have indeed underestimated his value. Had I known, I should have paid more attention and provided more guidance when he first came to the school."
"What's done is done, regretting is useless now."
Soron said calmly: "Moreover, knowing that child's character, your deliberate approach might only arouse his caution."
"You're right." Hayek sighed lightly:
"Ron Ralph... this name might one day shake the entire Wizard World.
Whether he ultimately succeeds in advancing to Primordial Wizard or fails in the attempt, we will witness the birth or fall of a legend."
"What we can do now is to ensure his advancement attempt remains undisturbed, according to the decrees."
Yuni said solemnly: "I've already begun laying out the surrounding guardian arrays, monitoring any potential sources of interference."
"I'll work on strengthening the school's energy barriers."
Soron added: "Ensuring no external powers disturb the school's operation, especially at the crucial time of the Star Ring Convergence."
Hayek pondered for a moment, then made up his mind:
"I will personally check the sealing status of the Bloodline Altar, ensuring that Abyssal Energy doesn't leak at a critical moment.
I'll also delay Valen and their investigation to avoid excessive interference from Crystal Tower's personnel."
The three Official Wizards exchanged a solemn gaze, silently affirming their responsibilities and determination to each other.
"If Allen's judgment is correct."
Hayek said finally:
"Then at the Star Ring Convergence three months from now, we will witness the birth of a Primordial Wizard, marking the most glorious moment in the hundreds of years since the establishment of the Black Mist School."
Yuni gently raised her cup: "To the future of the school."
Soron and Hayek also raised their own cups, and the three cups clinked together, producing a clear sound.
"To that brave young man," Soron softly added: "Regardless of success or failure."
"To the time gone by and the changes to come."
Hayek said finally, silently drinking the liquid in his cup.
