Wizard: Stronger through Marriage

Chapter 155: Subjugation

Suddenly.

David opened his eyes.

With a solemn gaze, he looked deep into the Wind Elemental Barrier.

He could feel a massive energy continuously gathering.

The magnitude of this energy even made him feel threatened.

Tier Seven.

The intensity of the wind elemental energy is approaching Tier Seven!

Whoosh whoosh whoosh—

Within the Wind Elemental Barrier, the gale swept relentlessly.

All the Wind Elemental Spirits in the barrier seemed to sense an enemy invasion, starting to gather towards a location.

A massive tornado moved with the fastest speed; it was a Wind Elemental Spirit, absorbing other wind elemental creatures as it advanced!

Afterward, it was clear that this Wind Elemental Spirit was becoming stronger, eventually reaching Tier Seven, transforming into a formidable Wind Elemental Lord!

When David sensed the gathering wind elemental energy, he realized it was too late to stop it. This was the defensive mechanism of the Wind Elemental Barrier Core reacting to external invaders.

However, he also managed to pinpoint the location of the wind elemental core.

He glanced back at Lingnai, who was undergoing her breakthrough, and quickly set up a simple Elemental Array to shield her from outside interference.

He then slowly stepped out of the cave, intending to intercept this Wind Elemental Spirit and crush it head-on.

Thus, time ticked away bit by bit.

Lingnai's breakthrough was going remarkably smoothly.

The wind elemental energy here was incredibly rich.

For Lingnai, it was like she had arrived on her home turf.

As wind elemental energy continuously poured into her body, her breakthrough commenced.

Everything was falling into place.

Whirlwinds surrounded Lingnai's body.

Her spiritual power, strengthened by the wind element, successfully broke through to Tier Four!

"Lord Duke, I've broken through to Tier Four!"

Lingnai's face lit up with joy.

She opened her eyes, suddenly realizing the Duke was nowhere in sight.

A strong sense of unease rose within her.

Especially after noticing the protective Elemental Array around her.

Boom boom boom—

Indeed, in the next moment, waves of energy fluctuation arrived.

She quickly inferred that Lord Duke was engaged in battle with a Tier Seven Wind Elemental Spirit, causing her heart to tighten.

This reminded her of the past, when Lord Duke chose once again to face a powerful being of the same tier alone to protect her.

"Lord Duke, you must win," she prayed silently in her heart.

On the battlefield.

David was battling the Wind Elemental Lord.

The upper body of the Wind Elemental Lord appeared humanoid, entirely formed from pure wind and energy, with skin that shimmered with a faint blue light, and eyes like two dazzling blue gems, radiating wisdom and strength.

Its hair flowed gently with the wind, as if woven from countless thin air streams, while its arms were strong and elongated, with large and powerful hands, and fingers that were long and flexible, capable of freely manipulating wind power.

The lower body of the Wind Elemental Lord was a rotating tornado, expanding from the waist downward into a giant pillar of wind.

The tornado was made up of countless swirling air currents, illuminated internally by flashes of electricity and light, emitting a low, whistling sound.

The Wind Elemental Lord integrated with the surrounding wind elements; each time it moved, it would whip up a gale, unleashing terrifying storms!

David activated the Life Seed within his body, along with his Tier Seven physical attributes, directly clashing head-on, as the Silver Dragon Sword incessantly collided with wind blades!

Every swing of the Silver Dragon Sword brought forth a brilliant silver light, clashing against the wind blades released by the Wind Elemental Lord, producing a metallic ringing sound.

The power of the Wind Elemental Lord came from the natural wind, making its attack methods varied and unpredictable.

It could instantly gather robust wind pressure, forming invisible fists, or create rapidly rotating wind blades that sliced through everything.

David's every move was cautious, his eyes locked onto the Wind Elemental Lord, trying to capture its every subtle motion.

In battle, David appeared increasingly composed; the Life Seed within him rotated slowly, continuously providing him life force and strength.

His figure darted across the battlefield like a phantom, leaving deep sword marks in the Wind Elemental Lord's tornado each time he appeared.

Although David's internal energy wasn't as potent as the Wind Elemental Lord's, deploying various bloodline and talent abilities allowed him to suppress this elemental creature, whose intelligence wasn't particularly high, in combat!

Even while sustaining minor injuries, he managed to leave marks on the Wind Elemental Lord's body.

The Wind Elemental Lord seemed enraged by David's offensive, becoming increasingly feral, its form constantly morphing within the tornado, transforming into a giant Wind Eagle at times, and into a long serpent at others, showcasing various abilities.

Yet David knew that despite its immense strength, the Wind Elemental Lord's attack modes were relatively singular, primarily relying on the power of wind.

David's edge lay in his combat skills and the recuperative power of the Life Seed, which enabled him to maintain high-intensity confrontation during battle.

He kept adjusting his tactics, capitalizing on the brief openings after each attack from the Wind Elemental Lord to counterattack.

The Silver Dragon Sword in his hand seemed to have gained life, precisely targeting the Wind Elemental Lord's weaknesses with every swing.
