Chapter 173: Panic (Part 2)
He just clearly sensed that Lor was still a hundred thousand miles away, but in the next moment, he directly jumped through space to his feet.
This speed can genuinely be described as terrifying.
If Lor intended to escape wholeheartedly, he estimated that he wouldn't be able to do anything to this little fellow.
"Exactly, you are the most outstanding prodigy of our Wizard Alliance since Francis. You ought to show some pride, little fellow." The Dragon Bear beside him grinned and added with a bold tone.
"Legislator Lor, you were brought over with everyone's agreement, feel free to attempt as you wish." The Earth Elemental Giant, situated within the Earth Element Domain, nodded and said.
They all held high hopes for Lor and had high expectations of him.
The Battle of the Abyss had been fought for so long, they also wished to rest soon.
Isn't seeking the truth and striving for a Sixth Ring breakthrough much better than dragging on here?
"Hope things will go as the legislators wish," Lor replied with a smile and then greeted each of the more than forty Bloodline Legislators and the Elemental Giants within the Earth Element Domain below.
Everybody was a legislator, so naturally, he couldn't neglect them.
The Elemental Giants and Bloodline Wizards returned the gesture courteously. Although they hadn't met Lor, the War God List was hanging inside their Sea of Consciousness.
Faced with this stunningly talented newcomer, they would praise him as they could.
After everyone finished exchanging pleasantries, Eddy spoke again: "Legislator Lor, first restore your Elemental Energy, and when you're ready, I'll release them to see if your Meteor Technique can directly annihilate the Tier Five Demons' origin."
"Yes," Lor responded, engaging the Origin Container within his Sea of Consciousness, directly meditating in Elemental True Body form to restore Elemental Energy.
One hour later.
"Speaker Eddy, my Elemental Energy has been fully restored," Lor looked up at Eddy and said, "Could you remove the Spiritual Barrier Layer outside the Spider Silk World first? I need to do some preparations before releasing the Meteor Technique."
"Of course," Eddy nodded, immediately instructing the other Bloodline Wizards: "Move back a bit first, the three of us at the Fifth Ring will cooperate with Legislator Lor."
"As you wish."
"As you wish."
One by one, the Bloodline Legislators bowed and transformed into various terrifying behemoths, swiftly flying toward distant places.
The Elemental Giants remained still inside the Earth Element Domain.
With the protection of the domain, they didn't need to consume Elemental Energy for defense, not to mention the origin.
Only in very rare cases, when the domain was breached by Tier Five Demons, were they affected.
However, under the current circumstances, the demons simply didn't have the capability.
After the Bloodline Wizards flew out a hundred thousand miles, Eddy gently tapped the web below him.
The vivid white light on the web suddenly dissipated, and Lor seized the opportunity to probe his senses into the web.
"Roar—Aow—"
In his perception, six demons each three thousand miles tall, plus seventeen Tier Four demons were frantically unleashing various Abyssal Energy attacks, impacting the web wrapping them.
Among them, the six Tier Five Demons were three Bone Demons, one Winged Demon, one Blood Demon, and one Horned Demon.
"Three Bone Demons..." Lor couldn't help but twitch his mouth after seeing the six Tier Five Demons.
The Bone Demons had incredibly strong defenses, so surviving this many was reasonable.
But this posed a major headache for him; could he truly impact these creatures?
In the blink of an eye, Lor didn't waste any time, quickly marking all the demons with spatial marks, then looked toward the three legislators remaining in place and said, "Legislators, I am ready."
After finishing, he was about to enter the Space No-Distance Layer when he suddenly heard Eddy say, "Do you need me to help bind these demons? Although I can't bind them for very long, within a day, Tier Five Demons shouldn't be able to escape my web's confinement."
"After a day, Peyton can suppress it with a domain, repeating the process should last about half a month."
He didn't mention what the Dragon Bear Legislator Ada could do, because the Dragon Bear was best at direct suppression.
If Lor's attempt failed, it would be Ada's turn to smash all the demons into powder, and then he could use the Spider Silk World to rebind them.
"If that's okay, then of course, it couldn't be better," Lor stopped, replying with a smile.
He had just realized that he wasn't fighting alone anymore.
With the assistance of Eddy and others, he didn't even have to worry about Tier Five Demons retaliating and shattering the Meteor.
As long as the Meteor Technique could break through the defense, he could slowly grind down the Tier Five Demons.
"All right," Eddy nodded, extending a long limb to gently tap the surface of the Spider Silk World.
"Swoosh—"
The countless threads of the web suddenly began collapsing inward, shrinking.
In a moment, they shrank into twenty-three large and thin webs, tightly confining the twenty-three demons within.
As the threads contracted, Lor took a step forward, entering the Space No-Distance Layer.
Necessary caution cannot be abandoned, good traditions must be preserved.
"Roar—Aow—"
As soon as the twenty-three demons emerged, they conveyed terrifying roars through spiritual shock, unleashing all the innate talents granted by the Abyss on the large spider before them.
Blood manipulation, bone twisting, deify... all kinds of alterations were applied, but all were isolated by the effulgent white light emitted from Eddy.
"Hmm?" Eddy initially wanted to also cover Lor, who was beside him, but found that this kid was gone in an instant, "Does this mean he ran away? It shouldn't be!"
He didn't think Lor persuaded Jerald and Yasen with great effort to obtain the qualification to enter the Abyss, only to look at Tier Five Demons then run off.
However, he indeed couldn't perceive Lor's current location.
"Where did that kid go?"
"Where is he?"
Ada and Peyton were also somewhat perplexed as they spread their perception, trying to capture Lor's figure.
Unfortunately, the outcome yielded nothing, and they all frowned, greatly puzzled.
"Could he have entered that layer of space?" Just as this thought occurred to Eddy, he saw a Meteor carrying a golden-red double-colored tail flame descending directly toward the Tier Five Winged Demon.
"Whoosh—"
With the web's confinement, the Winged Demon couldn't execute any counterattack outside its inherent abilities, yet the Demons' innate abilities were ineffective against non-living objects.
Therefore, it could only watch as the Meteor came crashing down on it.
"Bang—Boom—"
The Meteor landed squarely on the Winged Demon's head, then exploded violently.
Golden-red energy, accompanied by flames, enveloped its entire being, inch by inch eroding into its body.
"Impossible!" the Winged Demon's spiritual power quivered, letting out a terrified scream.
"Berry, what's going on?"
"The Elemental fluctuation emitted by that Meteor seems to be of mid-low Tier Five at best, did it actually harm you?"
"There seemed to be something strange about that Meteor. The red special energy contained within made me feel uneasy."
All the demons focused on the Winged Demon struck by the Meteor, hoping it could provide an answer.
"The origin, it's eroding my origin!" exclaimed the Winged Demon in horror: "This Meteor should only inflict some negligible surface injury on me, but it strangely obliterated nearly half of my origin."
To know, previously, even having its physical body obliterated by a wizard nearly three hundred times only consumed thirty percent of its origin.
Now, just a single Meteor directly obliterated half of its origin, it was simply terrifying.
Fifteen more casts of the Meteor Witchcraft, and it would follow in the footsteps of those Abyss Monarchs who exhausted their origin, completely perishing.
"How could this be?"
"Berry, what's wrong?"
"Wizards have such means, why haven't they used them to target us earlier?"
Upon hearing Winged Demon's explanation, all the Demons were chilled to the bone.
They had counted on the hope that perhaps one of the Abyss Monarchs might advance to Tier Six and defeat the wizards to rescue them from their predicament.
But now that hope was instantly shattered by the Winged Demon's revelation of an existence within the Wizard Alliance capable of directly erasing origins.
