Chapter 170: Jade Carving
Cooper Wizard Tower, Fifty-seventh floor.
"Sizzle—"
A space rift suddenly split open outside Lor's residence, and Lor emerged from it.
Stepping into his residence, he sat down on the bed in his bedroom, allowing his Spiritual Power to plunge into the Sea of Consciousness, beginning a new round of Space Origin dredging.
Time passed, and in the blink of an eye, four years had gone by.
"Compared to before, the Origin Container has expanded by about one-third." Lor thought to himself, looking at the Space Origin that had just covered the bottom of the Origin Container, "Now it took an extra year to fill one-tenth of the Origin Container."
The increase in capacity of the Origin Container is a good thing, as it ensures several more repairs to the Elemental True Body and physical body when continuously sustaining fatal injuries.
However, the time required to fill it naturally increased as well.
"Currently, there shouldn't be anyone in the Wizard World capable of continuously delivering fatal blows to me. Having one-tenth of the Space Origin should be enough."
Lor pondered, "Hmm, I should first consult Speaker Jerald to understand the current situation of the Abyss, then head to the Abyss."
With this decision in heart, he withdrew his Spiritual Power from the Sea of Consciousness, returned to the real world, and took out the Continent Communication Device from his Space Ring, sending a communication request to Jerald.
Soon, the communication connected, and a light screen appeared.
"Legislator Lor, is there something you need?" On the other side of the screen, Jerald asked with curiosity.
Since the last time they exchanged contact information on the Milton Continent, this was the first communication from Lor.
"Speaker Jerald, I have broken through to the Fourth Ring." Lor stood and saluted with a smile, "I contacted you this time to understand the current situation of the Abyss."
"So you've broken through to the Fourth Ring so quickly?" Jerald's face first showed a hint of surprise, which quickly turned into a broad smile, "Not bad, very good, I thought it would take you at least fifty years to break through."
Condensing an Elemental True Body is not an easy task; a single misstep could lead to failure.
It's not uncommon for other Elemental Mages, who had already forged the Origin Container, to be stuck at this step for twenty or thirty years.
Last time Lor came out looking for materials to strengthen the Origin Container, indicating that he had just forged it, and now it hasn't even been thirty years in total.
Filling the Origin Container in such a short time is already impressive.
Yet Lor not only filled the Origin Container but also condensed the Origin True Body, which indeed exceeded his expectations.
"But you haven't filled the Origin Container with the Power of Origin yet, have you?" After praising Lor for a couple of sentences, Jerald shifted his tone, "I suggest you wait until you fill the Origin Container before heading to the Abyss, to prevent any accidents."
Currently, the Wizard Alliance has only Lor as a Spatial Mage, who hasn't left any legacy. He really doesn't want this young man to encounter any accidents.
Future experiments related to Deep Layer Space will require Lor's assistance as well.
"Rest assured, I am confident in ensuring my survival." Lor replied earnestly.
In truth, he doubted any demons could harm him even without supplementing the Space Origin.
By then, he could first place a space marker on a Fifth Rank demon, then hide in Deep Layer Space to cast the Great Meteor Technique.
The attacks of Fifth Rank demons penetrating space might reach a level of 4.5 Rings at most, but they could never break the Void Imperial Realm Defense Shield.
Spending four years to supplement one-tenth of the Origin was purely to prevent extremely ludicrous accidents.
If he waited until the Power of Origin was completely filled before heading to the Abyss, there might not be many Fifth Rank demons left.
Even if some remained, most would probably be on their last legs. Killing them probably wouldn't earn much credit, and getting a share of the Abyss would be uncertain.
"I see..." Jerald looked at Lor's confident demeanor, frowning slightly, pondering how to persuade Lor.
Breaking through to the Fourth Ring, a little confidence is to be expected, as it represents a whole new level of life, completely different from before.
When Jerald himself first broke through to the Fourth Ring, he was similarly inflated, even daring enough to attack a Fourth Rank deity walking the earth, and was fortunate that Yasen arrived in time to save him.
Even at the Third Ring, Lor could kill Fourth Rank demons like slaughtering dogs, relying on that special trait witchcraft.
Now at the Fourth Ring, perhaps he doesn't consider Fifth Rank demons to be significant either.
But this young man has just broken through!
The witchcraft might not be optimized to the fullest yet, and without the Power of Origin as a backup, a single carelessness could truly lead to his demise.
"How about having Yasen guard Lor, and I'll watch over the Abyss exit?" Jerald thought to himself.
He had almost completed deducing the marching route of the Endless Navy Corps, and after handing it over to Amy to arrange systematically, he could spare some time for other matters.
With Yasen opening the Domain to guard Lor, things would likely be quite secure.
Just as Jerald was about to relay his decision to Lor, Lor spoke first on the screen.
"Speaker Jerald, if you're worried, we could conduct a small-scale duel experiment first." Lor spoke lightly on the screen.
He understood Jerald's concerns; saying it outright wouldn't be convincing, a duel experiment would prove more substantial.
"If you continually use that witchcraft capable of crossing space, I wouldn't be able to keep up."
Jerald shook his head, "But that's meaningless. When you go to the Abyss, you will eventually face Fifth Rank demons directly. A single mistake, and you could be struck, suffering severe injuries."
"If you are bound by Blood Demons and other demons using special means, the consequences would be extremely severe."
