Chapter 32: Dragon Dominator
Giant Dragon, servant of the Supreme civilization.
This terrifying creature, engineered by the Supreme's life engineering, has an extremely strong adaptability and can almost crossbreed with any species.
Even if it is just the blood, once contaminated by a being with insufficiently strong bloodline or power, it will transform into a Dragon Blood Species.
Undoubtedly, this is a powerful creature, so powerful that it took Wizards during the Dark Age an unknown amount of time to overthrow the throne of the Giant Dragons.
And now, these powerful beings seem to have become a member of the Spirit Desert civilization.
"Do you still tame the Giant Dragons?" Richard tilted his head and asked.
"Tame?"
Upon hearing this, a flicker of anger flashed through Shi Dangdang's gemstone-like eyes.
"What do you mean by tame? Giant Dragons are our Sand Spirits' best friends!"
"Oh? Friends..."
Richard felt a hint of surprise flash through his heart, and soon a slightly interested smile appeared on his face.
"This really overturns my perception, friends of Giant Dragons... those utterly arrogant dragons actually became friends with you.
This is truly interesting."
Richard raised a hand, and the sand on the ground suddenly rose, transforming into a gigantic stone pillar to point the direction for those Giant Dragons.
Shi Dangdang was just a juvenile Sand Spirit, with very limited knowledge.
He now had to find a more mature Sand Spirit to understand this civilization.
...
"Captain, look at that pillar!"
In the Law Enforcement Team, a Giant Dragon at the forefront suddenly exclaimed.
Behind him, a Giant Dragon with three heads squinted its eyes, the vertical pupils expanded, an invisible Dragon Power instantly enveloped the entire squad.
"That guy is pointing the way for us." The Giant Dragon referred to as Captain slowly opened the middle dragon head and spoke.
Point the way?
The team members were taken aback.
"This can't be a Blinding Technique." A team member cautiously said, "We couldn't possibly meet a World Lord Level from another civilization."
How vast are the Endless Dimension, and how vacant are the expanses between World Community and World Community.
Frankly speaking, if there's no target, the probability of randomly exploring other World Communities within the Endless Dimension is almost negligible.
"It's not a Blinding Technique." The Captain suddenly spoke.
As he was talking, another pillar appeared in the Law Enforcement Team's view.
Team members looked at each other, somewhat confused, their flying speed slowed.
Ultimately, the Captain spoke: "Keep moving forward, no matter what it is, we must go over and take a look. That kid Shi Dangdang is the only offspring of the old Captain, he must not encounter any mishap."
Mentioning the old Captain, the squad fell silent, their speed picked up.
Their old Captain had died on the frontline, and they absolutely couldn't let his only offspring face problems.
Beside the stone pillar, Richard looked at the sky with Shi Dangdang, murmuring to himself: "Judging by this speed and movement posture, they indeed are Giant Dragons. But why do I keep feeling something's off?"
These Giant Dragons, from speed, posture, to appearance, Dragon Power, were flawless Giant Dragons.
Yet Richard kept feeling that these Giant Dragons lack something. Or rather, they don't seem like Giant Dragons, more like some creature that has possessively taken over the Giant Dragons.
Bang!
Accompanied by a tremendous sound of wind pressure, the Law Enforcement Team of ten landed beside Richard, surrounding him completely.
Richard looked at the only Giant Dragon with three heads among them, asked with great interest: "Are you the Law Enforcement Team?"
The Captain did not answer, but cautiously asked: "Who are you, why did you kidnap our youngling?"
"Kidnap? Your description is too dangerous." Richard tilted his head to look at Shi Dangdang, his face showing some helplessness, "I just asked you some questions and had you guide me a bit."
Then, a World Lord Level pressure instantly enveloped all the creatures present.
Under this pressure, the members of the Law Enforcement Team instantly became tense, and the look in their dragon eyes turned dangerous.
"See, I have no need to kidnap him." Richard smiled at the Captain.
Subsequently withdrawing the pressure, Richard introduced himself leisurely:
"Allow me to introduce myself, I am a Miracle Wizard from the Wizard civilization. I am here this time to discuss cooperation matters with your Spirit Desert civilization.
Now, it's best for you to answer a few of my questions. Otherwise, my approach might give you a 'headache' for a while."
Richard's voice was very calm, looking as if he was speaking normally, but the meaning in his words sent a chill down the spine of every Giant Dragon present.
As members of the civilization, they naturally knew that the so-called "headache" referred to the side effects of soul searching.
"What do you wish to ask?" The Captain spoke.
"Very simple." Richard smiled slightly, "I only want to ask how your war situation is?"
War situation?
The Captain was slightly stunned, he didn't expect Richard to ask such a simple question.
Is there some trick involved?
After considering for a moment, the captain spoke: "The war is currently in a standoff."
"A standoff?"
Richard raised an eyebrow, his words carrying a hint of sternness.
"Do you think I'm very gentle, and can be casually toyed with by small things like you?"
In an instant, the captain felt as if the heavens and earth had collapsed before him, as if the entire world pressed upon his soul, nearly causing it to shatter.
"It truly is a standoff, those things have recently stopped attacking!"
Just before his soul collapsed, the captain finally revealed the truth.
"Stopped attacking?"
Richard withdrew his pressure, his brows slightly furrowed.
Stopping attacks isn't a good thing; for the Civilization Devourer, recovering from injuries is top priority. And to make it stop attacking, there are only four possibilities.
One, its injuries have healed, and it no longer needs to devour worlds.
Two, it lacks the ability to continue devouring.
Three, it's preparing a scheme to ensure smoother future devouring.
Four, it needs time to digest the world, and is currently in the process of doing so.
Analyzing the current situation, the latter two possibilities are far greater than the former two. Thus, the current attack halt signifies a future storm-like offensive.
"This isn't very good," Richard pondered aloud, then sternly said to the law enforcement team beside him, "Take me to your superior, someone of World Lord level."
Faced with Richard's command, the law enforcement team present chose to comply very willingly.
After all, their strongest captain merely fainted after Richard glanced at him. They were utterly incapable of confronting Richard.
Though courage may be commendable, it holds no practical significance.
"Please follow me," a two-headed giant dragon said.
The superior of the law enforcement team resides at the world's center, giving Richard ample time to observe the Sand Spirit race.
Sand Spirits are a peculiar species; despite their appearance resembling a pile of sand, similar to Earth Elemental Creatures.
In reality, Sand Spirits are a "silicon-based" life form, akin to Alchemy Machines, definitely not Elemental Creatures.
However, the world's Earth Element imbalance is simply because Sand Spirits prefer arid environments, thus modifying the environment accordingly.
Sand Spirits are naturally endowed with an Energy Cycle, and due to their body structure, they wield precise control over energy.
A mature Sand Spirit can form its body into any shape and is incredibly resilient.
Overall, without a doubt, Sand Spirits are a race of Spiritual Evolution. However, although Sand Spirits pursue Spiritual Evolution, Spirit Desert Civilization is not solely Spirit Evolution.
"Oh? Are you saying you and the Giant Dragons have formed a symbiotic relationship?"
Richard looked on in surprise at the law enforcement team member beside him.
The law enforcement team member nodded slightly: "Yes, we have a symbiotic relationship with the Giant Dragons."
While speaking, the law enforcement team member's gaze suddenly changed, and the golden dragon eyes filled with arrogance and disdain.
"... This is indeed the true essence of the Giant Dragon."
Richard nodded slightly, disregarding the dragon's provocation, and instead examined its body repeatedly like admiring a rare treasure.
"Symbiotic relationship... truly this world holds wonders beyond imagination."
With Richard's abilities, once he identified the symbiotic relationship, their connection revealed no further secrets.
Giant Dragons are highly adaptable beings; after years of symbiosis, their form has become vastly different from the dragons Richard remembers.
The bodies of Sand Spirits flow within the dragons, providing them internal protection and ranged energy attacks.
Meanwhile, dragons offer the Sand Spirits an inexhaustible energy source while addressing melee challenges.
Of course, this relationship can be reversed. Sand Spirits can transform into armor protecting dragons, who use their Dragon Language Magic for ranged attacks.
After a week's journey, Richard finally arrived at the center of this world.
Sand Spirits don't require buildings, but their symbiotic Giant Dragons have a fondness for architecture.
On a grand plain, a majestic city rises upon the horizon.
This city is built of gold and silver, with eighty-one towers arranged in a nine-grid formation.
The towers grow shorter as they extend outward, and taller as they move inward, interspersed with smaller buildings resembling chapels.
On these towering structures, elaborate tree patterns grow over the surfaces like vines—a kinetic decoration—the gold-like veins morphing with the sun's position, containing the energy that prevents these metal structures from sinking into the ground.
The towers' surfaces are studded with gemstones like stars. Under the sunlight, the entire city sparkles and gleams.
"Truly beautiful, like the crown's brightest jewel," Richard exclaimed softly.
He gazed at the tallest tower in the city center, his eyes piercing space, glimpsing the tower's resident researching within.
Inside the tower, a pure white-scaled dragon turned around, its eight snake-like heads suddenly looking in Richard's direction.
"Oh? A visitor has arrived."
