Wizard: I Can Refine Everything

Chapter 3: It's All a Misunderstanding

My king?

The response from Talal Peak even made Beelzebub, this cunning dominator, pause for a moment.

Is the Titan Civilization such that places great emphasis on bloodline inheritance?

Is the child of the King of Titans always the King of Titans?

Beelzebub did not know, for the information from the Abyss did not include these details.

He looked at Richard, a sinister grin appearing on his ugly face.

"I must have been mistaken. I didn't expect you, Dominator Richard, to be the one speaking. My apologies, my apologies indeed."

Richard looked at this Abyss Dominator before him, and in Beelzebub's dim yellow eyes, he saw a hint of contempt.

Compared to Talal Peak, he was too young.

Talal Peak noticed this trace of contempt, and it kindled a flicker of anger in his heart.

Though Talal Peak appeared very humble before Richard, it did not mean he was a particularly kind person.

On the contrary, Talal Peak was an extremely proud Titan.

He despised all races outside the Titans, and before the Civilization Devourer appeared, he was the most fervent of Titans in the war of civilizations.

Even though he had been baptized by the Civilization Alliance, this contempt had only been dispelled towards other members of the Civilization Alliance.

And for Beelzebub, a derivative, an experimental entity created by the Titans, to dare to show contempt for the King of Titans before him was indeed infuriating.

"It's normal; I'm too young, practically as young as a newborn compared to all of you."

Richard showed no reaction to Beelzebub's contempt.

The Abyss is a place where the strong are respected, and being looked down upon without a fight is normal.

All it takes is a beating later.

The corners of the large mouth on Beelzebub's big belly twitched slightly.

"So, what do you wish to discuss with us, Dominator Richard?"

"It's simple." Richard stood up, smiling.

"On behalf of the Wizard Civilization, I hope the Abyss Civilization can cease hostilities with the Gods Civilization and join the Wizard Alliance formed by wizards to combat the Civilization Devourer."

Ceasefire, Wizard Alliance, combat Civilization Devourer…

These three keywords made Beelzebub's mind spin rapidly. In the Abyss, a world where the strong prey on the weak, Beelzebub was a rare demon pursuing spiritual evolution.

So, compared to other demons, his mind was more capable and flexible.

Almost instantly, he realized that combating the Civilization Devourer was the focal point of this statement, and that Talal Peak beside Richard was likely related to combating the Civilization Devourer.

"This is quite an unusual matter. What on earth is this Civilization Devourer that even you wizards cannot contend with? You even need us to ally with those Light Balls to fight against it."

"The origin of this matter is a bit complicated to explain." Richard's voice was calm and indifferent, "To summarize briefly, it is the cause of the extinction of previous civilizations, and the Abyss was created by the Titans as a weapon against it."

"Oh!? There really exists such a monster?"

A hint of surprise flashed across Beelzebub's face because Richard's explanation was rather astounding.

Previous civilizations were so powerful that even the Abyss, which gave birth to Abyss Demons, was created by them. If they had perished due to warfare amongst themselves, that could be understood, but to fall to a monster, that was quite inconceivable.

"It is indeed the truth," Richard said calmly.

Beelzebub's dim yellow eyeballs stared at Richard, that evil gaze like a venomous snake spying, as if it could see through Richard's soul.

Richard remained unfazed; all were dominators here; the idea of mind-reading was out of the question.

"This explanation is outrageous," Beelzebub spoke, "But precisely because of this, I tend to believe that what you're saying is true.

The alliance aspect I can agree with, but the ceasefire with those Light Balls cannot be done."

"Oh? Could it be that you care for those little ones' deaths?" Richard asked with some surprise.

"Hahahahaha, you're quite the joker."

Hearing this, Beelzebub laughed heartily, his big belly trembling, making gurgling sounds.

"For those little ones to serve our war is their honor. Their deaths are merely due to their lack of ability, wasting an opportunity for evolution."

"Then why not cease fire?" Richard asked.

"Because…I don't want to."

While speaking, Beelzebub's dim yellow eyes revealed a frightful ruthlessness.

"This war is a sacrifice to the Abyss, a ritual that cannot be stopped once commenced. Moreover, why should we not annihilate those Light People, my friend?"

Beelzebub looked at Richard, his voice full of temptation.

"Previously, there were only two of us, so we were evenly matched with those guys. But now, there are four of us, which is enough for us to annihilate those Light Balls.

When that time comes, the Abyss will become stronger due to our victory, and we can become more powerful as well."

In the relationship between the Abyss and its dominators, they share prosperity and decline. If the Abyss grows stronger, the power that the Abyss Dominator receives from it also increases.

This doesn't serve Richard much, as the Power of Abyss is just one of the many methods he has, but for a pure Abyss Dominator like Beelzebub, a stronger Abyss means he becomes stronger.

"It's a great prospect, but I refuse." Richard unceremoniously interrupted Beelzebub's temptation.

"The Civilization Devourer feeds on war, and any war among us will nourish it. Moreover, the advantage of having three dominators far outweighs the slight boost gained from conquering the gods.

So there's nothing more to talk about," Beelzebub's voice suddenly turned cold.

Richard smiled, a trace of mocking in his gaze at Beelzebub.

"No, there is still something to discuss."

"Oh? Discuss what?"

Richard split open the space and took out his Titan's Hammer.

"The same terms, but the method of negotiation needs a change. In the Abyss, the strong prevail. Since you disagree with my viewpoint, let's settle it with strength."

After speaking, before Richard's words had even finished, a blood-red mist enveloped him.

This mist carried a terrifying poison, so potent that even Level 6 Creatures would instantly become toxic corpses if touched.

Opposite Richard, Beelzebub waved the staff in his hand, and an endless stream of mist gushed from its tip, shrouding the entire platform.

A mocking smile played upon his face as a constant buzzing emanated from his body.

If one listened carefully, they would find these buzzes were actually assemblies of individual syllables.

"If you're going to fight, then fight. Why waste time talking, just like those light balls of yours..."

Beelzebub's mockery was abruptly cut short, his facial expression changing suddenly.

Though the mist continuously flowed from the staff's tip, the blood mist on the platform was thinning incessantly.

The mist seemed to have encountered a black hole.

"I speak with you because you are no threat. Compared to Samuel, your strength isn't enough for me to use a surprise attack."

Richard's voice came through the mist, and as it thinned, Beelzebub saw the poisonous mist he summoned was, in fact, steadily being absorbed into Richard's body.

Richard snapped his fingers.

In the next moment, the blood mist suddenly dissipated. Beelzebub's expression turned extremely grim.

He found that he couldn't use the Abyss Curse anymore. Even those he created couldn't be used.

A mocking hint crossed Richard's face, for he was the new King of Titans, the highest authority in Abyssal matters.

Beelzebub dared to flaunt the Abyss Curse, which relies on the abyss for usage, in front of him.

"My lord, I request battle," Taraal Peak bowed to Richard and said, "This guy doesn't need your personal intervention."

Richard nodded and returned to his position.

"Then go ahead."

Taraal Peak walked towards Beelzebub, growing larger with each step.

His Life Field started flowing like water, with almost endless strength surging within him.

This body held a large amount of Richard's own cells, and the element annihilation inherent in those cells naturally passed to this form.

Though Taraal Peak's physique was not as formidable as it once was, his combat strength was in no way inferior to his peak.

"Out of respect for a Breaking Limit Sovereign, I will call you by your name."

Taraal Peak's voice was deep.

"Beelzebub, are you ready to meet your death?"

Boom!

Two streams of light shot out from the World Tree one after the other.

In the air, both figures expanded at the same time, with Taraal Peak enveloped in thunder and black flames, exuding a sense of complete perfection.

Opposite him, the large mouth on Beelzebub's stomach opened, releasing countless swarming flies.

Although Abyss Curse couldn't be used, Beelzebub was a master in biological technology.

These meticulously bred demon flies were initially intended for Samuel, but now he was forced to use them.

"Do you think forbidding the Abyss Curse will make it easy to defeat a Breaking Limit Sovereign!? Dream on!"

Beelzebub roared, his voice akin to a swarming mass of mosquitoes. Any creature that heard it descended into madness.

Even Richard felt a little irritated.

Undoubtedly, the sound was a form of spiritual attack.

But opposite Beelzebub, Taraal Peak remained unshaken by the noise.

He had seen such tricks many times before.

"Fancy!"

Taraal Peak shouted, as if thunder, scattering Beelzebub's voice.

In the next moment, Taraal Peak's body seemed to teleport in front of Beelzebub. His clenched fist emitted a destructive aura.

Buzz!

With just a buzzing sound, the two colossi suddenly vanished.

Richard looked at the sky, a hint of surprise flashing on his face.

"They actually triggered the abyss's self-defense, exiling them into the Endless Dimension. I hope Taraal Peak's punch didn't really kill him."

Though Beelzebub was a Breaking Limit Sovereign, his primary means were through the Abyss Curse, and with it being banned by Richard, it was as though he was left crippled.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have released the demon flies intended for Samuel.

Under these circumstances, if Taraal Peak took things seriously, he could really kill Beelzebub.

But before Richard's words finished, the two figures reappeared in the sky.

Only their states had worsened significantly.

Taraal Peak's body had more growths, and his flesh seemed to be constantly mutating. But compared to Beelzebub, his injuries were trivial.

Opposite him, Beelzebub's aura was extremely weakened. His spiritual power had even fallen to the level of an ordinary dominator.

Taraal Peak shed the demon flies from his body and quietly returned to Richard's side.

"Mission accomplished."

Beelzebub also returned to the platform at this moment, his ugly face filled with fawning.

He clumsily bowed to Richard and said, "Haha, it's all a misunderstanding, all a misunderstanding.

Ceasefire is wonderful, at this time we should unite against the outsiders."
