Wizard: Adventures in Two Worlds

Chapter 250: 113 The Power of Second-Order Bloodlines (Please Favorite)_3

PFFT!

As soon as Du Lu regained consciousness, he saw only a blur before his awareness plunged into endless darkness.

Meanwhile, the thief attempting to recall the Fire Bird was also slain by Carl's sword.

Two Advanced Wizard Apprentices.

Dead!

These two had died most frustratingly, simply because a woman had gone mad, and they were killed before they could react. Otherwise, with the abilities of Advanced Wizard Apprentices, killing them would not have been so easy.

The battlefield fell silent. The remaining three individuals were positioned at the vertices of a triangle. Compared to the other two, Carl, transformed into a towering six-meter giant, was conspicuously more eye-catching.

"UGH..." Bob shook his head. His eyes were bloodshot, and there was a trace of blood in his ears, but it seemed not to affect him much.

"Lay down your weapons, surrender, and swear fealty to the King," he said slowly to the two, his voice cold. "I may consider sparing your lives!"

"HMPH!" Bankroft snorted. "You are but one man, and injured at that. We are two—victory is not certain for you."

Bankroft gestured with his eyes. "Carl. You hold him off, and I'll provide Spell support. The more who die, the more credit we'll share. Thinking about it that way, it's actually a good thing."

As he spoke, he flicked his sleeve, and tiny Puppet insects the size of bees flew out, quickly clustering in midair.

Carl's eyes flickered. "Fine."

The two of them working together still had a good chance; the only fear was attracting trouble after revealing their trump cards.

"HA..." Bob chuckled lowly, as if mocking their overestimation of their own abilities. His figure flashed as he lunged. "If you have chosen death, then I shall open the gates of Hell for you!"

SWOOSH!

He didn't target Carl, who was obviously tougher, still aiming for the Wizard Apprentice.

HUM! Carl pointed his sword.

Spell: Minor Force Field!

Spell: Gravity Manipulation!

...

Bankroft wielded his Magic Wand, and a volley of Magic Flying Arrows formed a rain of light that descended upon his opponent.

BANG!

The ground trembled.

Carl swung his twin Longswords at Bob.

The swarm of Puppet insects buzzed, coordinating with Carl and the Magic Flying Arrows in their assault. This made it difficult for Bob to advance before repelling Carl.

Battle Skill: Gale!

Countless gales of sword-wind erupted from Bob's hands, instantly blanketing half the courtyard. Even Carl's enormous body was engulfed by the onslaught.

BOOM!

RUMBLE...

An explosion erupted. The Puppet insects Bankroft had released detonated in unison, engulfing both combatants.

Damn! Carl clenched his teeth, filled with anger and frustration. What the hell?

SWOOSH! Taking advantage of the explosion that had caught them both, Bankroft summoned a gale beneath his feet and darted into the distance. He's trying to flee!

Unlike Carl, who was prepared to fight, Bankroft's earlier talk of an alliance was mere lip service; he had no intention of fighting to the death.

"HEH..." Bob let out a light chuckle. "Wizards are all like that—they think themselves wise and clever, but in reality, they're cowardly, weak, and despicable. People like that can't be trusted."

Even as he spoke, he shot past Carl, chasing Bankroft. The speed of a Legendary Knight was already astonishing, and Bob, known as the 'Gale Knight,' was no exception. At full sprint, he moved like a sweeping gale.

Bankroft, having fled only a short distance, let out a piercing scream. Cracks spiderwebbed across his body before he exploded into chunks of flesh that scattered across the ground.

"Unfortunately," Bob turned around. "Your companion was no qualified warrior. If you get a next life, remember to choose your comrades more wisely."

Battle Skill: Gale!

SWOOSH!

Bob's extreme speed created multiple afterimages before Carl's eyes, each swinging a Longsword at him.

Battle Skill: Bloom!

Carl's body shook, releasing a massive repulsive force that blocked the incoming attacks. Simultaneously, the muscles on Carl's back writhed, and thick tentacles erupted with a WHOOSH, lashing out fiercely.

Bloodline Progress: 5%

By now, the Abyss Bloodline was no longer illusory but tangible. Each tentacle moved with the flexibility of a limb.

Fear Aura!

The Talent Ability of a Second Order creature made Bob falter, a flicker of daze in his eyes. Bob snapped back to his senses in an instant, but that brief lapse was enough.

Countless tentacles attacked furiously, while Carl's two greatswords swept forward.

BOOM!

The ground trembled. A figure was blasted away.

PUGH! Bob spat blood, his expression twisted as he stared at the 'thing' before him. "What kind of monster are you?"

"Monster?" Carl gently shook his head.

Shrouded in thick mist, Carl's body appeared immense and distorted. More than ten thick tentacles extended from his back, thrashing wildly. These robust tentacles were coated in slime, their undersides lined with serrated suckers that glinted with a terrifying, dark luster. They writhed through the air—coiling, stretching—each moving as if an independent entity. A dark luminescence shrouded Carl's face; his gaze, deep and icy. The two greatswords he wielded emanated an overwhelming sense of dread and oppression by their very presence.

"This is Bloodline Magic!" Bob exclaimed.

"HMPH!" Bob snorted and rushed forward. "Without those wastes of space, I can still kill you!"

WHEW... Carl's greatswords stirred a fierce wind, whipping up gravel and soil from the ruins and forcing Bob to squint involuntarily.

CLANG!

Steel clashed, and sparks flew.

Before Bob could react, a multitude of nimble tentacles were already striking from all directions.
