Chapter 4: Chapter-4: Paused Hell
An evil laughter could be heard in the room, echoing, blending perfectly with the surroundings. It ended with shrill "muhwahwaha", the flush of the toilet rang in the ears, abridged in the small compartment bathroom.
"Who is that inside? Is he probably, you know." The man, spinning his finger at the side of his head gesturing I the one inside has lost it or not.
"Geh, no. That's probably just a child playing with his toys." The woman chuckled, her plump white cheeks glistening under the light. The man shook his head, "It sounds like a man. And who even leaves their child alone in the toilet anyway, specially in a plane?"
The lady just shrugs her shoulders, sighing out at the toilet, looking out the window. "Hm, what's that down there?" The lady pointed out of the window looking down the plane. Her expression slowly going to horror.
The man next to her stepped forward and rolling his, "Yeah, I hope it's not one of your UFO jokes-"
Said the man mockingly while looking out of the plane window, but stoped when he saw the scene on the ground.
Large black waves were surfing away, all over the ground beneath, like a black polluted tsunami. The waves were rampant, surging high, even near the plane flying high up the sky. The waves were washing everything away in it's path. Those were harsh, rampaging. Every building, house, skyscraper, everything slowly got pulled down, destroyed to dust, in ruins, dissolved and disappeared inside the wave, turned to dust.
The waves suddenly hopped up in air, like tidal bore treating the city beneath as an ocean, pushing up against it, the current and shot itself at the plane in the sky like a true tidal wave. The shook heavily due to up front change in the wind's depth and the waves clashed with each other pushing themselves up nearly touching the plane pulling it down with it.
"Hold on tight! Passengers are to hold on tight! We're taking care of the situation-"
The microphone cut loose as the plane suddenly rose up, flying in an overly incline path shoring up the bright sky, getting away from the waves. Everyone and everything that was inside got pulled back free falling like a ragdoll inside the plane.
Gravity did it's work, so did the pilots. Clenching their hands on the yokes, getting all numb, their legs pushing them against it pulling the plane with all their strength, flying upward and onwards. Everyone let out a breath of relief. The man and woman near the bathroom were all over each other, pressing against themselves, so was the plane, a total mess it became with everything all tangled.

Dawud pulled his earphones out, his ears twitching, he looked out of the window. He got a strange feeling in his chest, it grew to his throat. He raised his eyebrow looking outside, pressing his hand on his shoulders, "What the heck was that? Tch, weird things happening with me lately, damn." He sighed, spoke in low, groaning voice, scratching his wrist.
On his wrist, he was wearing rubber strands, tightly groping his hand. He pulled on them and let go, the rubbers lashed on his wrist, lashing on the deep red painful marks that were already their on his wrist, deepening the wound more. He just twitched a little, to someone new it would be painful, nonetheless. But to him, he got used to it, cutting his wrist with a blade seemed troublesome, who's going to clean all the blood staining his clothes? So he just hurt himself with the sharp rubber band, but each time it grew more worse, now it was a habit.
On a second thought, little quakes became frequent recently, sometimes grew more powerful. And it was all shaking now, he felt it to be just a regular earthquake. Of course their home was made strong, it wouldn't demise so easily, but something just didn't feel right.
He got up from the bed, walked to the window, leaning on the window frames looking outside. The day was as bright as it could irritate him. The sun shone a bright smile, facade to the diabolical nature. He just looked out.
Suddenly…
A siren wa heard in a loud 'maaawww!!!', he freaked out looking around.
"All the citizens are ordered to evacuate immediately, this is not a drill. It is a real deal, evacuate and follow our personnels to where they lead you, immediately, we may have less than half an hour to carry everyone on time."
'What?' He thought. Is this for real, truly? He just opened the door of his room, there was another shake, he got thrown off the floor to the stairs snd rolled down the stairs crashing down.
His dog immediately came and started licking him, "Yeah, I'm alright buddy, I'm good— Ah!"
A sharp pain followed, rampaging through his head, about to get up he drops back on the floor. His dad came running down the hallway and swiftly picked him up grabbing his arm. Dawud just flayed in his father's arm not saying anything as his father pulled him to the other room.
"Dad! Please stop pulling me-"
"No time for your gypsies, son."
"Dad's right, we've packed our clothes, take your belongings and hurry."
His family was in the room, preparing their suitcases. Panicked visible on their faces, his mother tiptoed to the door, letting the family dog in. It rolled on the floor and bit down on it's soft carrot toy and brought it to him.
Dawud got up from the floor, squeezing the toy with a loud flickering sound from it. And looked at the dog patting it's head.
"Because of the siren? It still… could just be drill right?" Said Dawud worriedly looking at them.
"No chance, your Grandpa also called, the world is at shambles now." Another quake came rolling everyone down, and another threw them off the floor. His mother doubled over and threw up, her head bleeding furiously.
"Mom, are— are you alright?" Dawud somehow got up, coming up to get her and got pushed out of the way by his father. "Does she look fine to you?! God damn it, Dawud! Go and get the first aid kit, we don't have much time!"
"But what if there's another quake, shouldn't we be holding onto something or run out of the house-"
Another tremendous shake was felt, bending the solid floors and walls perfectly shooting them out of the house.
Afterwards they hardly took some supplies and packed suitcases with equipments and ran out of the house to the car.
The family got inside the car, closed all the doors and buckled up.
"Wait, our son isn't here yet, stop!"
"What?! Where has he gone now in this havoc?" Said his father starting the car.
"He should be here any minute now…"
Said Dawud's younger sister in the backseat holding the dog. Then it happened all so swiftly. Feeling like he'll broke from all sides on Earth.
