" This is the information we've gotten on Everette so far ".

Kayden takes the file from the young man and opens it reading through it.

" His last name is unknown, including his family members, his background, he doesn't even have any medical records, it's almost like he doesn't exist or someone is trying to keep him a secret ". The young man informs.

Kayden looks through the file then sighs closing it.

" These are all things I already know about him, Jack ". Kayden says to the private investigator he had hired to get information about Everette. He wants to know his family, those people that abused him to the extent that he wanted to take his own life.

" Why can't you get more information? ". Kayden asks Jack.

" I'm still trying sir, whoever his family members are, it's like they don't want anything about him to be known ".

Kayden sighed pinching the bridge of his nose. " But why, Why don't they want anyone to know anything about it? ".

" I can only guess two things, sir, it's either he's a threat to them or he's an asset, that's why they don't want anyone to know about him ".

" What do you mean threat or asset? ". Kayden asks with a brow raised.

" I mean that maybe him being known by the society holds a threat to their reputation so they keep him hidden or he's an asset that they want to take advantage of so they keep him hidden so he won't escape or he may be even both, he's a threat and an asset ". Jack explains.

" Hmm ". Kayden nods in understanding. He then drops the file on the table. " Just keep looking and make sure you report back to me about any findings okay? ".

" Okay sir, I'll take my leave ".

Kayden nods in reply and Jack leaves his office.

Kayden leans back on his chair looking up at the ceiling and soon his head goes into a spiral of thoughts which soon gets interrupted by the knock on the door.

" Come in ". He says without looking at the door.

The door flings open and he hears footsteps in the office.

" What got you looking up at the ceiling today? ". A male voice fills the room. And with that, Kayden diverts his attention to the blonde male looking at him with a brow raised. He immediately rolls his eyes.

" What are you doing here Levi? ". Kayden asks and Levi just chuckles.

" I can't visit my best friend and business partner ".

Levi is another one of his best friends that he talks to about literally everything, you can say that he has a little friend circle that consists of just him and his two best friends who sometimes don't get along but that doesn't stop their friendship.

" So how's the kid? ". Levi asked referring to Everette. Levi insisted on not knowing his name and just stuck with calling him a kid.

Kayden sighed. " He's good ".

" And when are you taking him home? ".

Kayden rolled his eyes. " I'm not taking him home ".

" But his family- ".

" They don't fuckin care about him, he tried to kill himself because of them, he cried when I mentioned taking him back to his so-called family, he's obviously not happy there but he's happy now, so what's the big deal ".

Levi squinted his eyes at him as if looking for something on his face.

" Who are you and where is my best friend Kayden? ".

Kayden rolled his eyes at his comment. " Get out of my office if you are here to attack me, you're a businessman too, don't you have business matters to deal with ".

Levi dramatically gasped using his hand to cover his mouth.

"You're a monster, using business to cover up, shame on you ".

Kayden sighed then pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance.

" Just get out of my office, I mean I already get enough from Bryson, I don't need any from you too ".

He chuckled standing up and putting his hand in his pants pocket.

" Your lucky I have an urgent shareholder meeting ". He said then walked to the door but just as he was about to leave, he stops and turns to look at Kayden.

" Oh yeah and also, tell Bryson I said he's a prick ".

" Tell him yourself ". Kayden says leaning back on his chair.

" Maybe I will, I'll like to see his face when I..... ". Levi starts opening the door but he trails off seeing Bryson standing right outside, his hands crossed and staring daggers at him.

Kayden immediately bursts into laughter at the coincidence.

" Well.... bye ". Levi says immediately and walks away.

Bryson rolls his eyes and walks into the office looking at Kayden who's still laughing.

" You both are idiots ". Bryson says then sighs. " You have a meeting ".

" Yeah, yeah, I'll be there ". Kayden says finally calming down from the laughing. Bryson just rolls his eyes and turns to leave the office.
