WITH TRUST AND REGRET

Isabel gasped. This was the exact thing she was about to say. She had thought about it and didn't mind at all. She would only miss her sister, aunt and cousin. She immediately agreed and Adrian was astonished. He was surprised that she instantly agreed. He expected reactions like

" What do you mean by that. There's no way I am following you." But he was even more astonished when Isabel said

" Let's go now ". He almost screamed

" What! "

Isabel continued with a nonchalant expression

" If not now then when. Don't worry, I have arranged for everything beforehand. We will be going to City X. That's the safest and farthest place for now. I have already booked a flight for us and bought a house online there. "

Adrain was extremely stupified. He tried regaining his composure and said

" Let us at least go for some clothes ". But Isabel shook her head stubbornly and said

" I've arranged for everything. I booked the earliest flight so let us hurry to the airport. We better not miss our flight ". Adrian said

" You seemed to have come prepared, so what if I hadn't bring the matter up? "

" I knew you would still follow me, even if it was to the ends of the world. Let's go."

Isabel led the way and Adrain followed her.

Soon enough, they were on their plane and the plane took off. They held thier hands together, entwined with each other and awaited for thier new future ahead. Isabel still couldn't believe it. She really couldn't believe that they were going to have a new beginning. A new life with Adrian. She even couldn't believe she was in love with Adrian. She of all people detested the word ' love ', and never believed in it. Back in school, she had rejected all proposals from guys. She always treated them like the air. Frankly speaking, she had met Adrain through Maria. Maria usually talked about Adrain and how she hated him. She had paid no attention to Maria in the beginning but to her uttermost surprise, Adrain suddenly begun pestering her. She became fed up and would shout at Adrain, even more going further as to insult him. Nevertheless, Adrain still continued. Unknowingly to her Adrain was slowly stealing her heart. Gradually, she realized her feelings and fell more deeply in love with him. Now she was finally going to be with him.

Some hours later, the plane landed. Following Isabel, they went to the house that has been recently bought. They opened the door and Adrain entered to take a look. Before Isabel could enter, her phone begun to ring. She looked at the caller ID and saw it was her aunt. She contemplated for sometime and heard Adrian's voice behind

" Answer it and tell her not to worry. I'll go in first."

Isabel nodded and answered the call. She heard her aunt's anxious voice from the other line

" Isa where are you "

Isabel quickly answered

" Aunt I'm out with some friends"

" Okay when would you be back "

" Tommorow, I guess" she replied but her aunt said with a stunned and pleading voice

" That far, why not come today "

" I can't come today aunt. There's something important I have to do " With a disappointed tone, she said

" Okay, but where are you "

Isabel paused before saying

" In the FQ hotel. Don't worry about me aunt, I would be back "

" Ok bye "

Isabel responded and hinged u p. She looked at her phone quietly and removed her memory chip, she opened her purse and took another new chip and exchanged it. Then she placed the old chip in her purse and stored some numbers on her phone.

Unbeknownst to her, a pair of eyes had been watching her. A masculine feature got out from the car he was sitting in and stared intently at Isabel. Then he quietly stared at his phone and read the message he had sent several minutes earlier

" Uncle please come to City X, right now. I have seen Isabel along with her lover. I don't know what they're doing here but I smell rat. To be on the safe side, the address is lakestorm street. House number~333. "

Just as Isabel had calmed down and was about to enter the house, she heard her name. Her body suddenly stiffened and she trembled. She knew this voice very well and could even mention the owner name in her deep sleep. She just wished to heavens that she was mistaking this time. She felt the footsteps behind her and she turned robotically. Lo and behold, it was him. 'Gosh', what was he doing here of all places. She cursed under her breath and stammered.

" Ce..... Cedrick"

Cedrick looked at her sternly and asked

" What are you doing here, Isabel "

Hearing this question, she subconsciously turned her head to stare at the room hoping Adrain won't come out and Cedrick hadn't seen him. She said

" I..... I.....I came here to hung out with some friends " But scruntized her face before asking

" Does Mom and uncle have any idea about it" Isabel quickly thought of a lie and said

" It was impromptu so I can couldn't tell them early, but aunt just called and I told her. She must've already passed the info.

Cedrick raised his brows and asked

" Okay is that your new house "

" Yes " Isabel nodded

" Are your friends in there? " Cedrick asked again. Isabel answered again

" No " But she never expected Cedrick's next question

" Well then let's go in. I'm already tired, I was in a business trip and on my way to the hotel when I've luckily meet you."

Isabel panicked silently trying to look for excuses

" No...erm.... I just bought it and there are nothing useable there so.... "

As she was thinking of another excuse, she saw Cedrick frowned and harshly interrupted

" Isabel I can't believe you are still covering for that arsehole. You have really changed. Can't you fucking see you are been used "

He said angrily
