Chapter 389: Chapter 389: Magneto Unyielding?
After Lilandra's death, the fragment of the Phoenix Force she had absorbed didn't try to escape but struggled to return to Ava's body. It seemed that even this portion of the Phoenix Force knew that its only chance for survival was within Ava.
However, how could Clark let it have its way?
Before the Phoenix Force could escape his grasp, the giant hand formed by his vengeful power tightened its grip, continuing the consumption battle in the usual manner.
The same old formula, the same familiar taste.
When Clark was merely at the universal level, he dared to engage in a major consumption battle with the full Phoenix Force. Now that he had ascended to a multiversal level, and considering that the current fragment of the Phoenix Force was merely a tenth of its original potency, it was swiftly and completely eroded by his vengeful power.
Having dealt with the last enemy, Clark then thanked the Spider-Men, who had brought their own supplies to assist, and opened several spatial vortexes to send them back to their respective universes.
The others merely exchanged pleasantries before diving into their own portals. Only Gwen, before leaving, whispered in Clark's ear, "You know, I've helped you out quite a bit here, and you haven't thought about giving me a reward."
Clark, caught off guard, asked, "What kind of reward do you want?"
Gwen, still wearing her Spider mask which obscured her expression, gently blew into Clark's ear and softly said, "I want you, in payment..."
"That's simple!" Clark responded, summoning a huge iron box the size of a work desk in front of Gwen: "This is a Michelin three-star chef's personally prepared meal, including hot dogs, steak, salads, and more—a hundred portions. I've sealed them with a time law to maintain the taste as if they were just cooked. I'll give this to you as compensation."

Gwen was furious.
That's not what I meant by "in payment"!
This infuriating man must be feigning ignorance, definitely!
I, Gwen Stacy, controller and major shareholder of Stacy Corporation, worth billions of dollars, do I lack your box of roasted meat?
Using this as a reward is simply an insult to me! I, Gwen Stacy, cannot be swayed by such trivial benefits.
Even if I starve to death, die out here, or jump from here, I will not eat your food!
Thinking this, Gwen grabbed the meal box angrily and stormed into the spatial vortex.
Watching the young lady with her inappropriate thoughts leave, Clark shook his head helplessly and then turned to Tony, saying, "Hurry up and set up the cornerstone; let's head to the Himalayas to assist in the battle."
"By the way, your suits are equipped with heating, right? It's pretty cold over there."
"Of course!" Tony, having suffered from the cold in a past battle, had naturally considered this in his new suit design: "You should worry about yourself with that tattered outfit. Don't let the cold there get to you."
"Have you ever heard of a god catching a cold?"
As they bantered, Tony commanded Eris to discreetly collect some Shi'ar corpses for study, while remotely securing the "cornerstone." "The Sky-breaking Sword should be in your hands by now, so you should complete the final step of building the Sky-breaking Sword Tower yourself."
Clark shook his head, "Not necessary for now."
Tony, puzzled, asked, "Why not?"
"The original purpose of designing the Heaven-slaying Sword Array was to prevent Dormammu's corruption of this universe. Now that Dormammu is dead, while we still need the array to fend off other demonic corruptions, it's not urgent. Besides, in the previous battle, the four divine swords—Slaying, Exterminating, Trapping, and Severing—were all damaged to varying degrees. Both the Sky-breaking and Sky-slaying swords need their gems removed and reforged. So, setting up the array isn't possible right now."

Before leaving, he vividly remembered Clark mentioning his insufficient understanding of the universal laws of time and mind, needing the stones' power to forge the divine swords. How much time has passed since then, barely two hours?
And now you're confident in forging the last two divine swords without using the stones?
Does this mean, you're upgrading again?
Sure enough, this guy is not human, upgrading faster than his suit's updates.
I'm just a normal person, not comparing with him!
With a sweep of spatial power, Clark brought Tony's entire team to the top of the Sky-breaking Sword Tower in the Himalayas. The situation below was completely under control with the substantial reinforcements, and even Daisy had arrived late. Now, with Mandy reassigned to support Captain America, Black Phoenix's
opponents had changed to...
Lois, a universal-level powerhouse;
Thor Odinson, a Skyfather-level;
Daisy Johnson, a Skyfather-level;
Even the weakest, Ghost Rider, possessed near-Skyfather-level combat power. What's more, this guy was simply indestructible! Even the all-destroying Phoenix Force had no way to deal with such an invulnerable foe.
With the addition of Captain Marvel and Mandy, both sub-Skyfather level, the battlefield below had turned completely in their favor. If they hadn't been aware that their opponents were misled and hadn't been fighting lethally, the mutant forces might have been completely annihilated by now.
With everything under control, Clark saw no need to intervene immediately. Instead, he used spatial energy to summon Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Drax, Mantis, War Machine, Nebula, Beta Ray Bill, Hulk, Natasha, Hawkeye, and the Fantastic Four from their various positions guarding the 'cornerstone'.
Together with the nine members of Tony's team and Clark himself, twenty-four formidable figures appeared atop the Sky-breaking Sword Tower.

Seeing so many reinforcements appear for the Avengers in a blink, the mutants on the battlefield felt their spirits break.
They had already been at a severe disadvantage with Daisy's arrival, and now the sudden appearance of so many more enemies made the battle seem hopeless.
Even if the last wave of reinforcements had the same strength as the injured Falcon, their sheer numbers were overwhelming. And among them was Clark, who had once thrashed Phoenix and obliterated Apocalypse right in front of them!
Not just them, even if the future Sentinel army mentioned by Wolverine were brought here, they would be defeated in seconds!
Clark appeared, immediately leaping forward from the top of the tower, his terrifying presence spreading out, making everyone on the battlefield struggle to breathe and forcing them to stop fighting and resist this overwhelming pressure.
"Let's stop fighting for now." After gaining control of the situation, Clark spoke calmly: "I have something to say, please listen."
His demeanor was composed, and his tone carried an authority that brooked no refusal, taking his role as a preacher to its ultimate expression.
Seeing Clark in such a posture, Magneto, always keen to assert his presence, was not pleased.
"Die!" With a roar, he directed a torrent of swords and blades in the sky toward Clark, creating a steel flood aimed at him. Although there were no large structures like the Golden Gate Bridge or a stadium to manipulate, the sheer number of ordinary swords gave off an aura of "All Swords Return to the Clan."
Truly, a grand display!
However, Clark had no appreciation for Magneto's "big scene," and instead felt a flicker of killing intent for this man who dared attack him while he was making a grand statement.
I'm making a grand speech, and you're still attacking, specifically targeting me?
What, you don't respect me enough?
Perhaps, making an example out of one to warn the others could be a good way to bring these deluded mutants to their senses?
With a thought, the sky full of swords instantly disintegrated into dust, swept away by the winds of the Himalayas.
After clearing the bothersome blades, Clark's gaze finally settled on Magneto, contemplating whether to confine him to a wheelchair for a green commute like Professor X or to simply end his life, when suddenly a familiar voice echoed in his mind.
"Clark, don't kill him!"
It was Wanda's voice!
Clark immediately recognized that this voice was transmitted to him through chaos magic by Wanda, and notably, the energy of Wanda's chaos magic had doubled since before!
Clark instinctively halted his actions as Wanda continued, "I've found a way to resolve this misunderstanding, Clark. Killing won't solve the problem, let me handle this. As for Magneto... if you're really angry, I have another way for you to vent your anger after this is over. Now, can I handle this, please?" Her tone carried a plea by the end.
Through the mental connection established by Wanda's chaos magic, Clark immediately spotted two Quicksilvers and two Wandas hiding in a distant cave.
In an instant, his super-brain understood all the key details and he nodded slightly, "Alright, I'll leave it to you."
Then, with a flick of his finger, a shockwave knocked Magneto unconscious.
