Later that evening, Taehyung walked home slowly, the snow falling softly around him once again. The world felt still, as though time had paused for him to reflect. His phone buzzed in his pocket, and he pulled it out, his heart giving a small leap when he saw Jungkook's name on the screen.
"𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒂 𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚. 𝑳𝒆𝒕 𝒎𝒆 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒊𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆."
Taehyung stared at the message, feeling a mix of warmth and uncertainty. Part of him wanted to respond immediately, to continue the connection they had started, but another part of him hesitated, unsure of what it would mean.
He stood under a streetlamp, the snow swirling around him as he let out a quiet sigh. 𝒲𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝒶𝓂 𝒾 𝓈ℴ 𝒶𝒻𝓇𝒶𝒾𝒹 ℴ𝒻? he wondered, his fingers hovering over the keyboard. Slowly, he typed back: "𝑰'𝒅 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕."
As he hit send, a sense of peace washed over him. It was a small step, but it felt like a significant one. For the first time in a long while, Taehyung allowed himself to embrace the possibility of something more.
