Will of chaos

Chapter 1927: Cap 1923: The worst torture...

"Hello, Urak..." (me)

"..." (Urak)

Urak was different than I remember. Her hair now had a metallic silver hue, her skin had turned pale white, her golden eyes were turning a purple, and her wings were also turning a more grayish metallic color.

Being so close to her, I could feel the curse within her body; I could even command the curse to do whatever I wanted.

I could even feel the curse's Aura corroding Urak's Aura from the inside out; I could even feel the curse's forced mental link with Urak.

"(The curse created a mind, Aura, and Will of its own, just as I wanted. I also sense traces of a Soul, but I don't sense an Existential Spark.)" (me)

"Happy to see me?" (me)

"I knew you were looking for me." (Me)

"You didn't come to talk, I can see your intentions..." (Urak)

Her eyes were depressed, but she clearly still had a brain. I couldn't hide my contempt for her if I tried.

"I knew a Goddess couldn't be trusted." (Urak)

"I never promised anything, just not killing you the first moment I could is an act of mercy." (Urd)

"A calculated act to make me talk. I've been in your shoes before, I've tortured people for information." (Urak)

"But that's not necessary, I'll say whatever you want... just make it stop...!!!" (Urak)

"The voices... the voice... those voices... they never stop!!!" (Urak)

Suddenly, her Aura went haywire, her eyes turning more and more purple. It was clear that the curse also possesses mental correction capabilities, and apparently it's doing so through mental exhaustion, tiring her out to lower her resistance.

Her whole body was shaking. She clutched her knees while her hands clutched her head. Her muscles were moving beneath her skin like worms, and it was clear that beyond the voices, there was a great deal of pain.

"How long has she been like this?" (Me)

"The outbursts happen once an hour, but never this intense. So it takes her more than 10 minutes to calm down enough to hold a conversation." (Urd)

"I don't have that much time." (Me)

I touch her forehead, and it was as if I'd flipped a switch. Her body stopped shaking, the purple lights in her eyes and the silvery death of her body stopped reacting.

"The voices... the voice... the voice stopped..." (Urak)

She relaxes her body, leaning her head against the wall behind her, then looks at me doubtfully. I can now see how haggard her face and tired her eyes are, but this fragile state won't confuse me.

This woman is a monster who has committed atrocities, committing everything according to the entire penal code, be it robberies, break-ins, espionage, blackmail, murder, physical and psychological torture, as well as many other things I can think of. That's why I've spent the last few hours thinking about what to do with her.

I pull her hair to help her regain her composure. Just as I thought, her eyes focused on me again.

"Don't forget who created this curse..." (me)

"That's why you came looking for me, isn't it?" (me)

"I couldn't take it anymore..." (Urak)

"You Ascendants are all like that, you like to show off your superiority and stuff, but deep down you're always cowards." (me)

"Your powers are all weak versions of the ones you stole. To compensate, you stack and connect these weak versions in an attempt to create something stronger of your own." (me)

Baaammm!

I slam the back of her head against the wall before forcing her to her feet. There's no point in treating a universal genocidal maniac like her in any way other than brutality.

"When I learned you were looking for me to turn yourselves in and ask for help, do you know what went through my mind?" (me)

"..." (Urak)

"I was furious, furious that you even briefly considered me sparing you!" (me)

My Aura explodes, displaying my fury, but this time completely under my control. I don't want to destroy this room or hurt Urd. I just want to show this disgusting creature my emotions so she understands her situation. I want to brand despair and fear into her Soul, which will lead her to question everything in her life. This will be the first step.

"Do you have any idea of everything you've done? How many lives you've ruined, how much devastation you've wreaked?" (me)

"Zenos... that's not what you..." (Urd)

"Urd, you of all people should know everything they did. I've seen a lot of their research data, I've spoken to their still-living experiments, I can feel in her Aura right now that there's no regret!" (me)

"That wretch doesn't deserve your mercy, and she certainly doesn't deserve your compassion." (me)

"..." (Urd)

I can understand Urd better than anyone else. I've looked into her Soul, I've seen her heart and mind, I've helped shape her into what she's become.

Urd feels love for the Ascended. She knows it's wrong, just as she knows almost everyone doesn't deserve it, but still, her love for them is like a mother capable of loving even her most evil child.

I know she's trying to make everyone Reborn as a way to erase their crimes, create a new beginning for everyone, something I don't agree with, yet I've allowed for the long-term benefits it can bring, as well as for Urd's own happiness.

But this maniac I'm holding by the hair is different. She was one of the originals, the only one among the individuals responsible for all of this, as well as one of the three leaders responsible for it all.

There is no forgiveness for what she did, no valid explanation for what was accomplished. No mercy or compassion can approach the ocean of calamity this bitch caused.

The real problem here is that among all the Ascended leaders, she's the only one still alive and was the only one captured by Urd. I know Urd holds her as something special. Urak's memories are one of the earliest pillars of her consciousness; perhaps we could even call her her favorite daughter.

"I won't kill her... I won't let her die either..." (me)

I drop her to the ground, and she struggles to her feet, her body, almost completely corrupted by my curse, too weak, making our legs tremble under her own weight.

"You know, I could torture you in many ways, both your body and your Soul, but pain alone isn't enough. I want to make an example of you. I have plans for you, and that's why I chose a different form of punishment that I personally find much worse." (me)

"Lena, you can stop sneaking around." (me)

"I didn't mean to interrupt." (Lena)

"What is she doing here!? What are they going to do to me...!?" (Urak)

"Urd! Don't let them do this! I can change! I swear I can change." (Urak)

"..." (Urd)

"I came to surrender myself; I can be better!" (Urak)

"..." (Urd)

"Just give me a chance! I promise you won't... ghuht!!" (Urak)

"Please avoid speaking in my presence, your voice makes my ears ring." (Lena)

"Lena..." (Urd)

"Believe me, what our father is doing is still mild compared to what Cortana and I had planned." (Lena)

"..." (Urd)

"Here, you can begin." (Me)

I hand a crystal card to Lena, who immediately begins to summon her power into the card, complementing the curse I cast with her own, accomplishing something I couldn't do alone.

I crouched down to look into Urak's eyes, filled with fear and humiliation. Lena punched her in the stomach. She, unable to stand up straight, fell to the ground clutching her stomach.

"First, I want you to know: all your research has been destroyed, all the Ascendants are being reincarnated, and your two friends are already dead to the point where not even a trace of them will return." (Me)

"Uhh...!!" (Urak)

"You're alone, just like you've always tried to be, no one likes you, no one wants to be near you..." (me)

"Just kill me...!" (Urak)

"I told you, I won't let you die even if you want to." (me)

"If your heart is so rotten to feel regret and love..." (me)

"If your mind is so cold to understand your mistakes..." (me)

"Then I'll give this to you, I'll let you understand where you went wrong, I'll let you feel all the love you didn't even know you had inside you, I'll let you drown in regret until you can't take it anymore." (me)

"No..." (Urak)

"You'll hate yourself more than anything else, you'll feel disgusted by everything you once considered an achievement, and you'll suffer again, again... and again..." (me)

"You... you can't..." (Urak)

"You know, the greatest torture isn't what others do to you... since we can escape it by enduring it, hiding in our minds, or simply giving up..." (me)

"But when it's us torturing ourselves, there's no running away, no giving up, no hiding... and you're going to experience it firsthand." (me)

"It's done." (Lena)

"Thank you." (me)

Lena, who possesses the memories of the Life Entity, knows everything the Ascended have done. She saw life destroyed, universes teeming with life crumbled at their hands, and the living creatures under their control were corrupted by the purpose of life, withering away with each generation. That's why Lena hates the Ascended, and especially the three leaders of the Ascended.

I take the crystal card from her hand and notice a marking resembling a sleeping baby on the card, somewhat ironic considering what I've prepared.

"No! Please, no! You damned Goddess, don't let them do this to me!" (Urak)

"In the end, I will be there... my child..." (Urd)

"You damned Goddess...!" (Urak)

"< Activate >" (me)

I press the crystal card against Urak's forehead as my Aura immobilizes her. Her hysterical screams show she understands what's about to happen next. I think she knows very well the torment she's about to go through.

The card glows and seems to become a baby-shaped starfire that enters Urak's forehead, spreading white veins that gradually spread across her head, face, and then her body as she loses consciousness.

"Now leave her alone. We can see her after we deal with Hatred." (me)
