Will of chaos

Chapter 1925: Cap 1921: Your weak point

"I just woke up and I don't want to talk to you right now." (Me)

"I don't care, I don't like to put things off, better settle this situation while the flames are still burning~." (Callidora)

"I have an irrefutable reward for you leaving everything behind~~..." (Callidora)

Callidora spoke calmly as if she hadn't done anything. Her calmness and the smile on her face could very well have made my anger explode, but I woke up feeling refreshed and whole again.

I also knew Callidora wouldn't be affected by my words, and there was nothing I could do to her for now. I might never be able to do anything meaningful to her.

"I don't want to hear it, but I know you'll say something anyway." (Me)

"What kind of person do you think I am~~..." (Callidora)

"For starters, you're not a person. I also think there's hardly anything worse than you, so don't pretend." (me)

"But I want you to leave so I can talk to Niryna." (me)

"Worried about your little daughter~?" (Callidora)

"Honestly, I don't even want to talk to you, and if I had the ability, I would have killed you right now." (me)

"I already said I'll listen to you, but if you don't leave, I might as well not listen at all." (me)

"Even if I can't do anything to you, I can still sever your connection to the Universes beneath the Tree of Creation. I could also very well create a new Infernal Entity to compete with you; it wouldn't be impossible." (me)

"It would be useless. I would kill any creature similar to me, just like I've done in the past. Or do you think there have never been other creatures close to what I am...?" (Callidora)

"..." (me)

I just wanted to tease her, but it seems I've discovered something interesting. It seems it really is possible to create a creature like Callidora. She also seems to be very sensitive to this topic.

"You want to settle things now, then make your threat or blackmail, because we both know you didn't come with a compensatory gift." (Me)

"Don't offend me so lightly, my gift isn't something you can easily see." (Callidora)

"No matter what, you've lost what little trust I had in you. I'll also look for ways to eradicate your influence from Niryna." (Me)

"And before you start talking about how you could destroy me or that you could wait forever... blah blah blah blah..." (Me)

"We both know that any violent action you take against me would upset the balance of the System's rules to some degree. I also know that no matter what you do, I can only pretend to forget before stabbing you in the back. For me, separating Niryna from you isn't impossible anymore." (Me)

"The boy has grown so bold~..." (Callidora)

"Be careful, I might start to really want to mess with you~." (Callidora)

Callidora wouldn't be shaken by anything I said, but I also didn't expect anything different. I just want to show her that I'm not completely defenseless against her like I was in the past.

"Say what you want and leave afterward, your presence is no longer welcome here." (me)

"Look, dear, our presence is no longer welcome here~..." (Callidora)

"..." (Niryna)

"It seems your father doesn't want it anymore..." (Callidora)

"One more word and I'll banish you from this place and seal Niryna until I figure out how to purge you from her!" (me)

"< Seal >" (me)

"Ghh!!" (me)

I close my eyes, my Will flowing with my Concept with great ease while my Divinity is absurdly stronger. This allows me to seal Niryna's Infernal Path with much greater ease and block Callidora's influence on Tarzor.

"If you want to continue to irritate me, you'll discover that I tend to act on impulse. I will already be your Path in my Divine Realm and have already cut off your influence on Tarzor. So think carefully about your words, for I am not as calm as I try to appear!" (Me)

"Just be direct and end this. I can't bear to hear your voice anymore!" (Niryna)

"..." (Callidora)

Callidora finally fell silent at Niryna's outburst. She still had her smile on her face as if she had achieved what she wanted. Even in silence, her eyes still shone brightly.

"It seems my dear daughter has finally decided to break her silence~." (Callidora)

"You're right too. Let's settle the matter first." (Callidora)

"What I seek is simple: leave everything behind as if it never happened and return to our mutually beneficial cooperation for the sake of our beautiful little girl~..." (Callidora)

"..." (me)

Callidora's light, simple words were laughable. What she was asking was impossible, and she should have known it.

There was no way to let go of what she did. I could have died in this Hellish Event; for all I knew, that could very well have been her plan.

Not to mention that the risk she put Niryna in is impossible to let go of; just remembering it fills me with even more fury.

"Just say your 'compensation' and leave..." (me)

Sigh

"I'm tired of wasting my time with you." (me)

I got up from the bed and walked a few steps to look at the horizon. This room floated in the middle of a city with tall buildings, surrounded by stars. This was the same Space City to which the stairs of the Temple of Urd led. Touching one of the marble scenes, I could feel the power flows of the Ascending Law as well as Divine power in harmony.

"(Interesting.)" (me)

"I know my presence bothers you, your hatred and anger are entertaining to watch, but I also know they won't last forever. Time takes all emotions and all memories. I can wait a few thousand years to regain that little bit of trust while I have the chance." (Callidora)

"As a Bringer of Chaos, you are too valuable and dangerous to leave behind." (Callidora)

"..." (me)

I didn't want to talk anymore, and honestly, I wasn't even listening. I was bracing myself, knowing something outrageous was about to happen. Callidora was the embodiment of absolute evil. Her symbol is unparalleled cruelty, and her presence will always be that of universe-crushing brutality. There's no way she could truly compensate me for anything.

I myself wasn't sure I could refuse her so-called compensation. The temptation of Demons is known in all cultures and religions, the temptation of Hell is irresistible. That's how she also convinced me to raise her daughter, using something I held dear to force my hand in her favor.

"As compensation, I will release all the Souls of children I possess. What do you think?" (Callidora)

"!!!" (Me)

"..." (Niryna)

"So that was it..." (Samara)

Callidora's offer of compensation was such a shock that I stumbled backward, where Samara supported my back to keep from falling. I expected horrible things, but not even my mind could imagine anything like that.

I looked at Callidora's smile and how her appearance matched that of a 5-year-old girl wearing a simple, pure white dress. Her smile, seeing my expression, only widened, revealing razor-sharp teeth stained with blood, while the glint of amusement in her eyes turned to mockery.

Niryna, who had just remained silent, began to cry with a depressed expression. From her expression, it was clear she knew about this compensation. She herself must have been forced to do it, since she had always been protective of the children because of our time in the orphanage.

"I should have known you would do something disgusting!" (Me)

"Don't blame me for keeping or using what's given to me. You'd be surprised how many families sacrifice their children for power, money, or sometimes just to summon a Demon." (Callidora)

"I have a collection of all ages, races, and genders. I have both Souls and still-living children, a number large enough to fill an entire universe!" (Callidora)

"CALLIDORA!!!" (me)

"HAHAHAHAHA...HAHAHAHAHA..." (Callidora)

She laughed as my Aura exploded in fury to the point where the entire room exploded and the city trembled as if it would collapse at any moment. Even the surrounding stars vibrated, turning red, as my killing intent rose to the heavens.

My body was already beginning to transform, scales and wings sprouting from my body as every cell in my body screamed to attack. It took all my will to contain this bestial impulse.

"This offer only exists now, and I'm not even asking for much. All I seek is to return to our previous state of cooperation~~..." (Callidora)

"One day I will eradicate you from existence!!" (me)

"It would be useless, and you know it. Evil existed before me, and even if it were impossible to destroy me, which not even Life and Death could achieve, evil and cruelty would still exist~." (Callidora)

"Don't pretend to be a good boy. You've killed and tortured many, refined planets, and devoured living people. Don't pretend to be morally upright with me." (Callidora)

She continues speaking while maintaining that youthful appearance as if to further provoke my anger. I'm giving her exactly what she wants, but it's not easy to hold back my fury.

I close my eyes and take a deep breath, not trying to suppress this fury, but instead refining it with my power before concentrating it into a pool of blood for later use.

Calming myself, I return my Aura to normal as my body returns to its human appearance. I look at Callidora again, her amusement as infuriating as ever.

"Even if I accept, it won't be how you want it!" (Me)

"We both know you won't refuse this compensation. Children have always been your weak point." (Callidora)

"I'm even being considerate by using the total number and not just a portion of it, because we know you'd accept even if I offered to release only 1 million~..." (Callidora)

"I accept the compensation, but that's only if you stay, and I'll stop blocking you. But Niryna won't leave my side, and I won't help you with anything else." (Me)

"We both know that's impossible. As long as I'm willing to negotiate, you'll always accept. Everyone has their price, regardless of what it is~~..." (Callidora)
