Why must the devil be Defeated?

Chapter 758: Why are you cursing at someone?

"What... what is this...!?"

"Magic?"

"Such... such powerful binding magic...!"

At this moment, the members of the Demon Clan let out cries of astonishment in succession, feeling the magic power pressing upon them, rendering them completely unable to move, their gazes towards Shane changed.

"You..."

Even Sean, the legendary warrior from the Alien Spirit Clan, changed his expression and looked at Shane with utter amazement.

Shane, however, ignored everyone around him, just looking at the leader of the Black Robed Demon Clan.

"Ah ah ah ah ah ah...!"

The leader of the Black Robed Demon Clan was being tormented by an indescribable agony, crying out desperately.

The rest of the Black Robed Demon Clan watching this scene showed expressions of terror, one after another.

Shane coldly observed the situation.

For those who wanted to deal with him, even take his life, Shane wouldn't be polite at all.

"This is just a warm-up, I haven't yet utilized my more painful grant magic," Shane said to the leader of the Black Robed Demon Clan with a smile, yet there was no trace of a smile in his eyes, "If you don't want to speak, I can make you use that mouth of yours for screaming endlessly."

"So, you can choose for yourself whether you want to use your mouth for screaming or for telling the truth."

"Come on, choose."

Shane touched the leader with his fingertip again, injecting even more magic power.

Instantly, an immense pain was inflicted upon the leader of the Black Robed Demon Clan, making him scream even more miserably.

The scene frightened all the Demon Clan onlookers.

After a few minutes, the leader of the Black Robed Demon Clan finally reacted differently.

"Sun..."

The leader of the Black Robed Demon Clan spat out just this one word.

Shane's eyebrows shot up.

"Pfft!"

The next second, along with the sound of flesh tearing, the leader of the Black Robed Demon Clan's head was chopped off.

Blood splattered, staining the entire scene red.

"He's killed someone!"

"He's killed someone!"

Watching Shane behead the leader of the Black Robed Demon Clan with a sword, the onlooking Demons' pupils constricted.

Personal combat is forbidden in Enchanting Demon City, it's strictly prohibited.

And now that a life had been taken, this matter will likely be difficult to settle.

Even Sean from the Alien Spirit Clan changed expression and fell silent.

In such a situation, Shane flicked the blood off his sword and started talking to himself.

"I was clearly giving you a chance, and you dared to curse me; you were asking for death."

Saying this, Shane turned his gaze towards the rest of the Black Robed Demon Clan.

A shiver went through the members of the Black Robed Demon Clan.

Before long, they, too, lay in pools of blood, one after another losing their precious lives.

And the reason for their demise was one.

They, just like the leader of the Black Robed Demon Clan, didn't hesitate to "Sun" at Shane.

"I Sun your Divine Man planks."

Shane cursed loudly.

A bunch of dog-Suns, thinking you're some kind of loyal and righteous warriors?

If you won't speak, just don't speak, it's not like I can't give you a swift end; why curse anyone?

Damn it!

After Shane had dealt with all the Black Robed Demon Clan, at last, someone arrived at the scene.

"What are you doing here?"

Liel rushed in with a group of either cold or seductive Female Demon Clan members, striding into the blood-drenched scene and the Shane standing amidst the pools, her eyes hardening.

"Liel Clan Leader!"

Sean looked as if he saw a savior and hurriedly called out.

"Is it you?" Liel's brows knotted, her voice cold, "Why are you here?"

Clearly, Liel knew Sean.

After all, he was a Legendary warrior, and although there were many such warriors among the Demon Clan, there were only about twenty or so in the Enchanting Demon City. It wasn't difficult for Liel to remember each one.

However, it was clear that Sean didn't have a good impression in Liel's eyes.

But Sean seemed unaware of this, hastily speaking up.

"Something big has happened, Liel Clan Leader, someone has defied the edict of the Enchanting Demon City!" Sean struggled against the binding magic and pointed at Shane, shouting loudly, "You must capture him quickly!"

Hearing this, the group of Female Demon Clan members that Liel brought along were ready to act, seeming to have already been on guard to capture Shane.

Yet, Liel said something else.

"Back down."

Ignoring Sean's plea, she stopped the Female Demon Clan members from advancing and walked over to Shane.

"What's going on?"

Liel questioned aloud.

"They want to take action against me."

Shane didn't explain much, just tossed this sentence to Liel.

Liel's furrowed brows tightened as she looked at the Black Robed Demon Clan members lying in pools of blood. After a moment of silence, she extended her foot and kicked over the Black Robed Demon Clan Leader who had fallen right in front of her, revealing his face.

Then, Liel saw the Black Robed Demon Clan Leader's face, covered in scars and fierce determination.

At this sight, a fierce light flickered in Liel's eyes.

"What?" Shane, who had keenly noticed this, asked, "Do you recognize him?"

In response to this question, Liel answered like this.

"Don't know him," Liel said coldly, "but I can probably guess where he comes from."

"Is that so?" Shane looked at Liel and asked, "Then what is his background?"

Liel did not answer immediately; instead, she turned around and looked at everyone present.

"This is none of your business. You can leave for now."

With a gesture of Liel's delicate hand, a wave of Magic Power brushed over the entire area, dispersing the Binding Magic from everyone present.

The Demons felt a sudden lightness and regained their freedom.

They looked at each other, and then quickly scattered like birds and beasts, not daring to defy Liel.

Even Sean managed an awkward smile after regaining his freedom.

"I helped stop this today; don't forget to put in a good word for me in front of the Enchanting Demon Lord, Liel Clan Leader," he said.

With that, Sean quickly retreated.

His manner was as if he feared Liel would refuse him verbally, so he took a preemptive step.

In an instant, the entire area was cleared, leaving only Shane, Liel, a group of Female Demon Clan members, and a group of Black Robed Demon Clan corpses on the ground.

Shane was about to ask again.

But, before Shane's voice rang out, Liel spoke up first.

And her opening words made Shane's expression change dramatically.

"They are from the Old Demon Clan Faction."

Liel's icy words made the surrounding Female Demon Clan members gasp.

"The Old Demon Clan Faction?" Shane's eyes also flickered, murmuring, "No wonder they used such methods to deal with me."

If it were the Demons from inside Enchanting Demon City, even if they disliked Shane, they shouldn't have forced the Sand Scale Clan to poison him from behind. Being underhanded wasn't typical behavior.

It wasn't because the Demons had a lofty sense of honor, rather because the races within Enchanting Demon City were all strong clans of the Enchanting Demon Territory. As Races that revered strength, they wouldn't resort to such petty tricks without experiencing their opponent's strength first.

Only the Old Demon Clan Faction, knowing Shane was the Hero, would be underhanded behind the scenes—it wasn't surprising at all.

Liel put it this way.

"Since the news of the Hero's appearance had spread throughout the Demon Realm, the people of the Old Demon Clan Faction have been constantly stirring up trouble behind the scenes, wishing the Demon Clan to start a war with the Divine Man races immediately."

Liel's gaze towards the Black Robed Demons on the ground was filled with disgust.

"After all, they just can't stand the peace talks between the Demon Clan and the Divine Man races, considering the Current Demon Clan to be groveling to the Divine Man races, they see the current state of the Demon Clan as a shame, and thus, they chose to stand apart as the garbage of the Old Demon Clan."

For these people, the existence of the Hero was annoying, obstructive, and detestable.

It was impossible for them not to take this opportunity to stir up trouble and create chaos.

"The Demon Lords have always been aware of these troublemakers, and under the direction of Lady Chafne, I've also tightened surveillance over Enchanting Demon City, so I noticed these fellows." Liel spoke bitterly, "These people have been trying every means possible to contact those powerful clans ever since they entered Enchanting Demon City and have become very active behind the scenes after you appeared. I've been suspicious of them for a while."

Now, if they had taken direct action against Shane, it proved that they had either been instigated by the Old Demon Clan Faction or were part of the Old Demon Clan Faction itself.

Otherwise, at a time when the Demon Clan was about to form an alliance through marriage with the Hero, no ordinary Demon would dare go against the Demons' directives and viciously attack the Hero.

Whether they were instigated or were, in fact, from the Old Demon Clan Faction, it didn't matter; anyone connected with the Old Demon Clan Faction was considered the same by Liel.

"So I killed them all; you don't have any objections, do you?"

Shane was straightforward.

"Even if you hadn't killed them, I would've done so afterward," Liel insisted, "The so-called Old Demon Clan Faction is nothing more than trash obstructing the rule and governance of the Demon Lords. Being defiant against Lady Chafne, I, Liel... no, the entire Stone Woman Clan will crush them into pulp."

At these words, the surrounding Female Demon Clan members immediately roared in agreement.

It seemed that they were indeed the elite of the Stone Woman Clan.

Only then did Shane notice that these Female Demon Clan members were all Upper Level, Level 70 and above.

Truly worthy of the number one clan in the Enchanting Demon Territory, truly the strongest among the Demons of Omni Potanssen.

Just the high-end combat power within this Stone Woman Clan alone could rival that of a Guard Knight Order, right?

No, perhaps the entire Stone Woman Clan could even contend with the Mitra Kingdom.

After all, the Stone Woman Clan contained no less than three Legendary fighters, and Liel herself was a Level 99 powerhouse who might even outmatch Aridia.

"We'll handle matters here; go see your acquaintance if you need to."

Liel started to shoo people away.

Shane had no intention of lingering but was struck by a thought and asked.

"That Sean..."

His sentence trailing off, Shane stopped himself.

"Never mind."

Amidst Liel's puzzled gaze, Shane shrugged his shoulders and then turned away, leaving the scene.

"How absurd."

Liel could only scoff twice, then began directing her people to clean up the aftermath.

Afterward, she still needed to thoroughly eliminate any suspicious individuals within Enchanting Demon City.
