Shane shook his head.

"I don't know the ins and outs of this," Shane said outright. "I only know that Lasha is not as simple as she seems on the surface, but rather has a significant background, right?"

There was no doubt about that.

So far, how many people had shown a state of bewilderment that was hard for ordinary people to encounter or even believe after meeting Lasha?

Moreover, those people were all influential figures capable of having a tremendous impact on this world.

Ai Yi was one of them.

Lide was too.

So was Milu.

And Luoqi.

Even Elf Queen Sophie was no exception.

The attitudes of these great figures from various clans and nations toward Lasha had been strange and at times outright improper.

Even Sera was like that, with the Three Great Goddesses of the Divine Race subtly showing their concern for Lasha—how could this not arouse Shane's suspicion?

Shane hadn't pursued it further, but that didn't mean he didn't take these exceptions seriously.

If it weren't related to the Demon King, why would Ai Yi and others behave so improperly?

If it weren't related to the Demon King, why did Luoqi and others' faces become so grave every time they mentioned Lasha?

Adding to that, Laischa had mentioned something related to the Demon King in the Royal Palace ten years ago; Shane boldly speculated that this thing might be on Lasha.

"...Yes."

Laischa finally admitted to it.

"You know, it was after leaving the Royal Palace and ending that large-scale assassination incident that I used Life Creation Magic to create Lasha," Laischa said in a low voice: "Has Lasha told you about this?"

"She mentioned it a little," Shane nodded and said. "She said your original intention was to create someone to help you in combat against the pursuit of the Old Demon Clan Faction during your escape, so you used your own appearance as a model to create her."

After the large-scale assassination incident ten years ago, as one of the participants, Laischa not only stole items related to the Demon King from the Royal Palace but also defected from the Slaughterer Faction of the Old Demon Clan Faction and fled far away.

At that time, the Kingdom did not dare to pursue her too openly for fear of the Demon King artifact in Laischa's hands.

But the Slaughterer Faction of the Old Demon Clan was different; they could not overlook Laischa, who had taken the Demon King's items and betrayed them.

Shane didn't know how much effort he had put into this, nor how many precious materials he had expended for those Demon Warriors, but he was certain there was only one person in the world capable of utilizing Life Creation Magic to such a degree.

Shane even had a feeling that this person would be a formidable enemy beyond imagination.

Laischa was different.

"A thousand years ago, after the Demon King was subdued by the Hero Mitra and the Supreme God Ominis cut off his possibility of resurrection, the abyss-like endless Magic Power within him dissipated, leaving only a corpse on the battlefield."

Laischa's voice reached Shane's ears.

"Then, Hero Mitra established the Mitra Kingdom on that final battle's ground and founded the Royal Capital on the land where he had defeated the Demon King."

The Royal Palace on Lake Heart Island, and that vast lake encompassing it, was actually the site where Hero Mitra had finished off the Demon King.

The lake itself was leftover from that battle.

"And the Demon King's corpse left there was taken back to the Royal Palace by Hero Mitra, sealed in the deepest part of the palace's underground, never leaving that place in a thousand years."

Laischa's words sent a shiver down Shane's spine.

His mind birthed an incredibly shocking thought.

And Laischa's next words confirmed that thought.

"What I took from the Royal Palace was the sealed body of the Demon King."

Laischa spoke with a complex tone.

"Lasha is a Magic Life created from the Demon King's corpse."
