Chapter 494: Left Bow is Saving the Little Knight_2
Maru's boss, that can only be—
A streak of fire suddenly flashed through the underground space. Although it was only for a fleeting moment, the warmth it brought to the dark underground was enough to give anyone goosebumps.
That was no ordinary flame; a fireball couldn't compare to it at all.
It was the nightmare of all invaders of the Sain Dungeon. If the Sun Warrior could wield flames, it would be enough to make invaders wary.
But if the Sun Warrior learned to entwine the flame around a straight sword, then the invaders would need more than just wariness.
Instead, their urgent task would be to quickly pick out a suitable urn for themselves!
"Bang bang bang!"
The Insect King, having just recovered from the Left Bow's blow to the face, hadn't had a chance to stand up when a flaming straight sword suddenly slashed at its waist!
Though it seemed like just one sword stroke, in fact, an unimaginable number of strokes were delivered in that instant!
The thick exoskeleton shattered instantly, and the scorching flame left a conspicuous burn mark in an instant. The exoskeleton that used to regenerate quickly could no longer grow!
Being burned by the residual fire, recovery wasn't going to be so easy.
"Ya!" The Insect King let out a pitiful cry, enough to satisfy those with special tendencies.
Not only could the exoskeleton not regenerate quickly, but once again it experienced the utmost humiliation of a body paralyzed and unable to move!
What kind of combat skill is this, that their race, after parasitizing so many, has no knowledge of it?
Something from the Warrior Country?
It's one of the classic scenes of the Sain Dungeon: the flaming straight sword!
And its owner, at this moment, was not wearing the well-known Legendary Thief Headband. His brilliant golden hair flaunted freely, indicating his high spirits.
"Leon!" Like he was seeing a good brother, Dal immediately called out and quickly rushed over.
Leon had just raised a thumb, but before he could point that thumb toward himself to make a gesture like that of a Saiyan prince, he suddenly sensed an extremely dangerous presence beside him.
"Rob!"
The Ring Knight Straight Sword and the Fran Greatsword crossed and overlapped, blocking the Insect King's striking claws at the same time!
The two together could just block the attack; neither could do without the other!
Dal and Leon exchanged a glance and felt exceedingly pleased with their mutual understanding, then exerted themselves together, intending to repulse the Insect King with their combined might.
However, with a rumbling sound, a beam as massive as a wooden dragon rushed in from the other side, knocking the Insect King away. Using the word 'knock' might be misleading because the object suddenly broke into fragments, swallowing it and slamming into the rock wall on the other side, which unbeknownst to anyone was covered with explosive fruit.
"Boom!"
A blast of fire shot into the sky, and the entire underground space trembled again. The little that remained of Red's palace now completely collapsed, leaving not a trace of what was once not-so-grand architecture.
Fortunately, King Ule couldn't see it, or he'd be heartbroken.
"How did you come so quickly?"
Although the explosion was not enough to kill the Insect King, another fierce battle was yet to come. However, this couldn't conceal the thrill in Dal's heart, rare to see him so delighted.
"Met Klan at Lake Lienia, who urgently pulled us over."
Leon tossed Dal a few augmenting potions that the latter often used and cast a Golden Stone Oath on the people around, seizing every opportunity to replenish their strength— a habit they formed during their long dungeoneering.
Klan also poked his head out, a proud expression on his face as he claimed credit: "I'm awesome right, Big Brother Dal! And everyone is so righteous; I just said you were in trouble, and they rushed over without asking what happened!"
Upon entering the Sain Dungeon, he found the teleportation gate back to the Yanor Kingdom in the Hunter's Dream, having circumvented any detours or riddlers.
With time pressing, there was no way to leave the dungeon and run cityward to seek aid, he swiftly circled Lake Lienia to gather everyone familiar, even pulling in some who typically operated in teams.
The Strategy Group's Leon and Maru, Aleya of the Hasavi Team, Steeran of the Morning Wind Team, and a few elves who were advertising the Vienma magic class with her, were among them, along with a group of Fran Guards training at Lake Lienia who chose not to come down, but stayed above to help others in clearing parasites.
"And me!" With an energetic voice, a Curse Frog poked out its head from the crowd.
A Roger was riding on the Curse Frog's back too.
"Hehe, never seen these types of parasitic monsters before. I absolutely can't miss out on this," he said wiping drool that he'd unconsciously let slip.
It seemed like old acquaintances were short of Fingerley and the Skyrim Strategy Group, while Klan had actually encountered Luluwo, but upon hearing that the Sain Dungeon extended its harmful grasp to Red, and that the monsters troubling Dal were parasitic creatures rampant in Red, Luluwo turned and fled.
Not that she escaped in disgrace, huh; she turned to leave after throwing a line.
"Seems like Elsa is hovering near the Royal City and hasn't gone far, I'll try to bring her back!"
One could only hope she could successfully bring the Hero back, maybe the Insect King could enjoy the same treatment as Elderly then.
