Chapter 476: Mansis's Frenzied Brain
"Ahhhh!"
One second after being stared at by Mansis' brain, whether it was the hosts or the parasites inside them, or the implicated Sain Monsters, they all, without exception, fell into frenzy!
Just from the name, it's clear that this "Frenzy" affects mental states, and staring at a superior entity would naturally have a significant impact on the mental state of ordinary beings.
However, the frenzy manifested more physically.
"Uh ah ah ah—"
A parasite inside a host fell into a state of complete frenzy, causing the host to emit a painful wail, whether big or small, their blood boiled, their entire body endured excruciating suffering.
The next moment, that boiling blood finally was no longer restrained by flesh, fiercely breaking through the skin, gushing out!
"Splatter!"
A sinister long spear with a sharp blade suddenly burst out from the host's body. In its backdrop, the torrent of excessive blood became an eerie scenery. With such massive bleeding, any creature would be at the brink of death.
Appearing alongside it were countless numbers of tiny spears, not even the length of a fingernail, emerging from the bodies of numerous parasites!
The moment the spear pierced through bodies, the wails of the creatures on site escalated to a new height, enough to nearly deafen even the deaf.
However, two seconds later, the wails ceased, not because they possessed extraordinary tolerance for pain.
They simply died, died from the second piercing of spears.
Any creature would succumb to consecutive excessive bleeding without treatment, let alone parasites that rely on blood for survival.
If a word could describe the mood of the Evil God's consciousness avatar at this moment, it would be this:
WTF!?
It looked around, realizing for the first time that those spears were actually formed by the blood of the deceased themselves.
Being pierced to death by their own blood, such a bizarre cause of death evokes thoughts of unmentionable evil practices. Some vampires with a dark sense of humor enjoy making various weapons out of blood to torment others, but compared to Mansis' brain, even vampires seem charming.
The giant body it controlled also felt Mansis' brain's influence, yet merely with boiling blood, not falling into frenzy as others did, hence, no bizarre spears burst out from its body, though it could feel the life force constantly draining away.
Of course, it couldn't let this body die; it need only summon some energy from the outer void to replenish its life force at the same rate.
But now it didn't have the time to do so, for more pressing matters awaited it.
[What is this...?]
It stared intently at the suspended Mansis brain, the puzzlement in its eyes so thick it was nearly tangible.
A large mass filled with numerous eyes of varying sizes, exuding strong psychic contamination, resembling a brain, yet in its sight, accustomed to strange things, the appearance was nothing noteworthy.
However, what filled it with surprise, confusion, and even shock was how this brain felt different!
The aura emanating from it was like, was like....
Those once-active superior beings!?
To put it simply, "divine beings."
A god is a god, distinctions of good and evil are given by intelligent life on earth; they, themselves, have no distinction between righteous god or evil god, yet the strength of their power does indeed differ as per general imagination. In the consciousness avatar's impression, even the weakest god had sunk to a pitiable level, evoking sympathy from its gaze.
Yet even the weakest god is a superior being, whose form of life differs from the ordinary, utterly beyond the capacity of mortals to kill!
But now what did it behold in the Sain Dungeon?
A brain tainted with the breath of a superior? No, the aura of the superior on this brain was so intense that "taint" couldn't even be used to describe it; it was utterly soaked in the essence of a superior from inside out, practically grown from the very flesh of a god, perhaps even carved out from a deity itself if one dared to think further.
Thinking along those lines makes it even more terrifying!
The mutated body shuddered violently, its heavy flesh swaying and shedding unstable chunks at the motion, mirroring the feelings of the one controlling it.
How could the Dungeon summon such an existence, even if only a part?
How could the Dungeon possibly possess such an existence?
Thinking even deeper, to summon more monsters beyond what was inherited from the previous City Lord, one must personally learn about other monsters, deeply understanding them to turn them into Available Monsters.
So, how on earth did the Sain Dungeon manage to turn Mansis' brain into an Available Monster!?
Hiss... This is truly the real horror upon careful thought.
The current Sain Dungeon Lord has placed an entity of such calibre as the Hidden Dull Star equivalent on the dissection table?
This is the first time since its inception that the consciousness avatar experienced what it meant to face the unknown.
Always accompanying the Evil God's true form, it seemed as omniscient as its might, with no mortal action able to incite surprise in it.
