Whispers in the storm
Chapter 21: The Broadcast
Hours later, Nathaniel and Eleanor watched from a distant safehouse as the news broke. Every major outlet was running the story—an exposé of corruption, conspiracy, and murder. The names, the evidence, the truth—it was all out there.
Eleanor felt a mix of triumph and sorrow. They had succeeded, but the cost had been immense.
Nathaniel sat beside her, his expression unreadable. "It's not over," he said. "They'll regroup. They'll try to spin this."
Eleanor nodded, determination lighting her eyes. "Then we'll be ready."
For the first time, she felt like they had a fighting chance. Together, they would face whatever
came next.
