While Adam hunted in the Dungeon, Su Lan would protect him just like they had agreed and would cultivate beside him.
Even though it was very unlikely that anyone would mess with them, she still remained vigilant and took protecting Adam's unconscious body extremely seriously.
But she never expected she would have to protect him from such a large scale attack.
The large man that messed with Adam in the waiting area before the regional tournament, after being crippled by Adam and losing all the strength he had built in his legs, never able to reach such levels again, was filled with resentment.
Even though it was clear he was in the wrong, it was hard not to hate after losing everything you worked for and relied on.
And it was the same for his father and family.
They were sure he was the one that started it and from the report that the Martial Arts Union gave them, he had the intention to kill and was attacked in self-defense.
But still, they had to get revenge for him after losing the heir to their family, otherwise not only would they have lost their heir, but they also would have tainted their reputation.
Researching everything they could about the man named Liao Wei, who was responsible for what happened to their heir, they didn't find anything in the slightest.
They even went as far as to harass the Liao Wei that Adam had left the Black Dragon Group with, but even though their names and appearances were identical, they clearly weren't the same person.
And they also didn't want to mess with the rapidly growing and ruthless Black Dragon Group.
Without any powerful background or known backers, they had no reason to hesitate or fear him, as they began searching for Adam's whereabouts.
Entering the branch of the Su Family's Hotels, which was his last known location, asking around about where he might have went, they quickly received the answers they were looking for.
The manager there, who hated Su Lan and the dark horse who accompanied her even went as far as to offer her full assistance and gave them the location of Su Lan's home.
Telling them that Liao Wei had been courting her at her home and that they were a couple, it made them think twice about attacking, but in the end, Su Lan couldn't do much.

All those that had been defeated by Adam gathered up with the family of the man he had crippled and formed a small army of powerful cultivators that all had one aim.
To eliminate Adam.
And after making careful preparations and arming themselves properly, even though they only planned on facing a single opponent, it was on the fifth day of Su Lan's training that they initiated the attack.
With her sharp senses, there was no point in trying to initiate a sneak attack, and as soon as they stepped foot onto the mountain that her home was on, she was alerted of their presence.
Sensing around 100 powerful cultivators surrounding her home and quickly heading her way from all directions, she grabbed her blade and readied herself to fend them off.
It was widely known that Su Lan's influence and position within her family wasn't as great as it used to be, but she still wasn't someone that most could or wanted to offend.
However, that didn't stop all of those out to kill Adam from destroying her home.

Unleashing powerful explosive attacks from all different directions, they blew up her house into smithereens, sure that she would be able to protect herself, but making their intentions clear.

Forming a barrier around herself and Adam to protect themselves from all the attacks from all different directions, Su Lan was wielding her sword and ready to take them on.
Although she was remaining completely calm and her composure didn't waver in the slightest, not intimidated by all the cultivators surrounding her, she couldn't help but curse her luck.
Conveniently, they attacked at a time that Adam was unconscious and useless, so he wouldn't be able to help her and she would have to protect him.
As if fighting them alone wasn't enough.
Seeing that Adam was unconscious, they were all elated, and it was the perfect opportunity to capture him or kill him without him being able to resist, which was likely to cause them a few casualties after seeing how skilled he was.
"Stand down Su Lan. I know my family cannot rival yours, but you are not as adored as you used to be and should show this elder some respect," called out the crippled man's father who was leading the attack and seemed to be the most powerful out of the group.
From the powerful aura around him, he was likely to even be a Grandmaster Level Cultivator.
Su Lan known for being calm, cold and rational was expected to simply give in and leave Adam to perish, since they were unlikely to be that close and there was no point fighting for him, but she shocked them all with her response.
"Fuck off right now and I will forgive the fact you destroyed my home, otherwise you are all dead," she stated coldly.
Not needing to shout or unleash her aura and killing intent, her cold words were enough to intimidate most of those involved in the attack, who didn't hate Adam enough to risk their own lives.
However, the same couldn't be said for the crippled man's father along with quite a few others.
As those leading the attack, they were obviously the most capable and the ones that held the most hatred towards Adam.
"Listen up. Take her down and don't be afraid of her. She is alone and not as capable as you may think. But make sure not to kill her. After that, we can all make that bastard pay!"
And with that, their attack began.
