When You Become an NPC That Might Die Any Moment in the Novice Village

Bai Fu speculated that in the original plot, the main task "Dark Domain Insect Clan's Struggle" should have been triggered in version 2.0, or even later.

The normal process probably involved players inadvertently collecting a mother sample of a Dissociative Potion during their interstellar adventures, triggering a precursor to the main task. Upon successfully collecting five mother samples, the Dark Domain Clan Insect Queen would be resurrected, painting pie in the sky for players and persuading them to help her reclaim her throne.

Players don't value experience rewards as little as she does; even if they know that the Dark Domain Clan Insect Queen is tempting them with empty promises, they will most likely still undertake the task and charge into battle for the Insect Queen.

Then, in the process of helping the Dark Domain Clan Insect Queen continue collecting mother samples, the players who undertook the "Dark Domain Insect Clan's Struggle" main task would find themselves completely opposed to the Secret Tower, engaging in an endless fight with the Secret Tower camp.

It's uncertain whether the Secret Tower's plan would succeed or if the Dark Domain Clan Insect Queen would successfully get revenge and reclaim her throne.

The development of the game's storyline is dynamic; nothing is certain about justice prevailing. Without her intervention, the Secret Tower should have been able to normally attract a large number of players after the opening of the Star Sea version 2.0. With players fiercely clashing with one another, it's too unpredictable who would win or lose.

Version 1.4 set the player level cap at 35, and even hundreds of thousands together wouldn't affect the course of a Star System Level civilization war.

But by version 2.0, the level cap was likely to be raised to 45. At level 45, players would almost reach the peak of Class B, and those with special encounters or more developed professions could even defeat weaker Class A Superpower Users in single combat.

Tens of millions of players at that level waging war in the Star Sea... the spectacle...

Bai Fu preemptively worried on behalf of the major powers in the Initial Gate Star System Group.

Version 1.4 had been open for a while, and judging by the past update frequency of the game, at most in two more years version 2.0 would officially launch. By then, all players would enter the Star Sea one after another like a torrent, completely changing the world. If she stayed with Star Contract for too long, she feared that the players she had charmed so hard might all be "stolen" by the Oath Lord. If that happened, she might just drop dead from anger.

She had already thought about the location for the base construction—Ulysses Star. There was a very stable natural wormhole near Ulysses Star, making spaceship travel very convenient. The only problem was that currently, Ulysses Star had nothing, no existing buildings, and no NPCs.

However, none of this was a problem.

Without any buildings, she could issue construction tasks to players once they arrived, giving those who didn't like fighting something to do.

Without NPCs, in the early stages, she could use robots, Ulyssians, and evolved Black Fus as stand-ins. In the later stages, she could introduce Ulyssians and other partners.

As long as Ulysses Star was given a stable development environment, there would be no worry about the absence of NPCs.

Vic, being a Ulyssian, was inspired by Bai Fu's grand blueprint. However, he didn't let the bright future cloud his judgment.
