Chapter 34: The Feud of Two Alphas
As the camp started, the participants participated in every activity with enthusiasm and excitement. They were asked to work well with their fellow group members to get to know each other better.
There were a lot of challenging games for them and only by working together with their solution teammates could they do the game.
"Now you have to sit in a circle and then straighten your legs forward until they touch the legs of your friends. When you have, hold on and try to stand up. You must be able to work together in this game so that you can stand together!" exclaimed the chairman of the student council directing the game.
Some of the organizers modeled the game and they were able to stand together, although they had difficulty doing so.
The participants tried to stand up while pulling their friends, some fell and laughed, some got up partially and some almost managed to do it.
"Come on, you can do it!"
"The key is team work!" exclaimed the organizers encouraging their juniors.
One group managed to stand together by holding hands.
"That group over there did it first! What group are you?"
"We're the Tulip group!" exclaimed the group that managed to do the challenge.
"Congratulations to the Tulip group, you are the first winner. Which other group can catch up?"
One by one, the other groups also managed to do well. The event that day was so lively and filled with fun.
Until finally lunchtime arrived, they prepared the tools and ingredients to eat that afternoon. They brought their small stoves and tools and started cooking. As usual, the organizers were assigned to supervise them while using the stove.
Others would cook for lunch. At that time, Claire and Fein went around to see what their juniors were cooking. They cooked various foods that were simple and easy to make.
Until Claire stopped at Valerie's group, he saw his little sister's group cooking macaroni cheese.
"Ohh... It looks really good," Claire said as he approached them.
"Want to try it?" Valerie scooped out her macaroni and fed it to Claire's mouth.
For a moment Claire was silent and then seemed to code Valerie with a glance of his eyes. Valerie just winked at Claire. The man smiled then took a bite from the dark-haired girl.
"Oh, it's delicious."
"Isn't it? Senior must be hungry too, but you have to run errands first before you can have lunch."
"Ahahaha... Yeah but we're still--" Not finishing his answer, Fein cleared his throat rather loudly.
"Ekhem, we're not here to ask them for food. Let's quickly continue our task," he said pulling Claire's back collar.
Seeing Claire being pulled away like that made Valerie quite upset. But her friends immediately approached Valerie because they were jealous of Valerie who was very familiar with Claire.
"Hmn? Ahahaha... You guys want it too?"
"Of course! Why are you so close to him? Are you guys dating in secret?" they asked.
Valerie blinked her eyes in surprise for a moment before laughing at her friends' remarks. They still didn't know that the senior was her own biological brother.
"It's a secret," she replied. 'It's funny to tease them, even though Claire is my older brother,' Valerie thought happily.
Meanwhile, Fein continued to look rather annoyed after seeing Claire making out with their junior again. He again thought Claire's previous joke was the real intention of what she wanted to do.
"Fein! Feeiiinn let go of me!" Claire swatted Fein's hand away from his collar. "You're pulling me around like a toy!"
"Then what do you want me to do? Let you make out with that girl?" he asked in a lazy tone.
"So what, she's just letting me taste her food, what's wrong?"
Fein rolled his eyes then folded both hands in front of his chest. "You, how much do you want to date your own junior? You guys are still just getting to know each other but already making out like that," Fein said in a cold tone.
The Omega man felt confused by Fein's words to him. Dating? Who would date?
"What's wrong with you? I don't seem to like being close to her at all. Besides, she's--"
"Fein! Claire!" called out a student who was also one of the organizers like them. "Lunch is ready. You can eat now," she continued.
"Oh sure, thanks Sarah!" Claire followed Sarah because he was already hungry, while Fein could only sigh and follow the two of them.
The program continued after lunch and took a short break until the afternoon. In the afternoon, they queued up to shower and prepare for the bonfire later that night. The participants would perform a show from each group by the campfire.
"Alright, seven o'clock we start for the bonfire. Claire and Fein, I want you to go back and recap their performances before the event starts," the student council president asked.
"Sure, we will!" replied Claire excitedly.
"Good, then the others help me stack the firewood in the center of the field 30 minutes before the event starts. Are you ready?"
"Yes, we're ready!" they replied.
They finished their short meeting and then took turns to take a shower in the committee's special bathroom. They deliberately separated the bathrooms between the committee and the participants so that the committee could finish first and continue their work.
*****
As the campfire activities began, each group gave a different performance. Some played skits until the other participants laughed watching it, some invited singing along with the sound of the guitar, some told horror stories with full drama and appreciation, and many more.
They really enjoyed the performances. It was a memorable night for all of them, and the organizers were happy that their three weeks of hard work had not gone to waste.
Everything went smoothly, everyone loved the event. The juniors even wrote a surprise letter to their seniors who were the organizers there.
"Thank you for all your hard work for this camp. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed all the games. We are happy to get to know you as our seniors. We hope to get to know our seniors better. Signed by the tenth year juniors."
They clapped their hands at the little letter. The time passed quickly and it was already eleven o'clock in the evening. It was time for them to return to their respective tents to sleep and then tomorrow morning they had to go home.
As the others were heading to their tents, a girl approached Claire and tugged on his jacket sleeve.
"Oh Val, what is it again?" asked Claire who turned out to be Valerie again who approached him.
"Claire, did you bring your cold lotion? Can I have some? I forgot to bring it. I was bitten by a bug," said Valerie showing her arm which had a red mark on it.
Claire held his sister's hand and examined the red marks. "There are so many of them. Why are you wearing short sleeves? Plus you didn't bring your jacket?" he asked worriedly.
Valerie shook her head. Claire sighed and pulled Valerie to his tent. He told the girl to wait in front of the tent while he got his lotion.
While waiting, Valerie saw Fein who was approaching and about to enter the tent. The two of them stared at each other with displeased looks. It was as if two Alphas were fighting over an Omega.
Not long after, Claire came out of the tent carrying the lotion.
"Here's the lotion, you put a thin layer on your skin. Just bring it to your tent," Claire said then glanced at Fein who was standing there. "You just came?"
"Yes, step aside I'm going in." Fein entered the tent and then closed the tent. Even so he was still near the tent door listening to their conversation.
"And here, you just put on my jacket." Claire took off his jacket and put it on his little sister.
"What about you then?"
"I wear long sleeves, take it easy. There, go back to your tent. People will get suspicious seeing you here all the time," Claire said as he gently pushed her.
The girl nodded and went back to her tent. He continued to watch the girl from the tent doorway. "She really is..."
Fein, who was peeking through the slit of their tent flap, narrowed his eyes sharply.
'Why did you even care about her to that far?'
