When the plot-skips players into the game world

Chapter 247: Shout Your Name Loudly

When Aiwass arrived in Holy Spring City, three Benevolent Lords had already arrived.

Of course, amidst the vast yellow sands... not a single Benevolent Lord arrived on foot.

Some Benevolent Lords were seated atop great elephants, some carried in palanquins lifted by Giants, and others nestled within massive desert ships...

Yet without exception, none of their conveyances could enter even the second Ring. Holy Spring City was unlike the Holy Nation which had constructed lifts... Here, the only way to reach higher Rings was to walk up the spiraling stone, lead, and Gold staircases.

To ascend the tower, one must first traverse the interior of the waterfall—more precisely, the water curtain. Thus, for ordinary Parthians, strolling upward amidst the refreshing mist was doubtless a blessing, and a spiritual cleansing.

But for the Benevolent Lords, to suggest they hike such lofty and distant stairs together with other commoners was sheer daydreaming.

Though they responded to the summons and came here, it was to jointly handle the Ring of Ouroboros ceremony!

Not truly to submit to Ayimar Nur!

And if they yielded to this small humiliation, it would display themselves as weaker than Ayimar by half, therefore they remained at the entrance, confronting the welcoming Priests.

At that moment, the sounds of praise and kneeling came from afar.

Benevolent Lords from other city-states turned their gaze that way.

—Then they saw Leviathan pulling a Dragon Car.

Being Taboo Mages, the Benevolent Lords possessed considerable knowledge, and surely knew the prophecy recorded in the Parthia Book.

Thus, upon witnessing the appearance of the "King of Indigo," these lofty Benevolent Lords all displayed expressions of astonishment or disbelief—

... What was happening?

Their first reaction was that a colleague had acquired a rare Dragon Beast from the Goblins. Perhaps a relic of the Beast Master, or a mutant Dragon, impersonating the "King of Indigo"...

And at that moment, Leviathan proudly shook her body.

She unleashed a thunderous roar, spread her wings, dragging two streams of azure flame as she soared into the sky!

In an instant, Aiwass accompanied by the cries of people, flew past two waterfalls, arriving at the higher third Ring.

As the Dragon Car soared through the heavens, the exterior silver-white chassis reflected the Sun's Radiance, transforming it into a brilliant Gold.

—Even as Aziz witnessed the Dragon Car descend like the Sun, his mind blanked for a moment.

He was of free people origin, naturally literate... and doubtless read the book of Parthia.

From a certain perspective, the "King of Indigo" proclaimed the "Savior"—much like Lancelot's Sword to the Avalonians, Valentine I's alchemical notes to the Stibnites.

No matter which Benevolent Lord discovered the legendary King of Indigo, it inevitably signaled political chaos!

After a brief shock, Aziz's mind rapidly spun:

He immediately judged that Ayimar Nur may not become the new Monarch of Parthia.

If the person before him truly was the prophesied Savior... then if he staunchly stood by Ayimar Nur, he would become part of the old forces targeted for attack and destruction; but if he displayed sincere obedience before the other revealed their Radiance, he would have performed an act like delivering coal in the snow, being among the few to recognize the true King.

Conversely, if the person before him was not the Savior, but at least a Benevolent Lord of high status, then by joining others in kneeling, at worst he would be mocked as foolish, and might even use self-deprecating humor to avoid suspicion...

If submission won, he gained many benefits; if it failed, he was merely ridiculed;

If resistance won, no benefit was gained; if it failed, he faced shared destruction.

What he must do was already clear.

The third Ring didn't possess the humble status of the first Ring, thus the people here carried some self-regard. None kneeled on the ground to greet the "King of Indigo," rather many cast looks of shock and skepticism.

But before the Dragon Car touched down, Aziz suddenly prostrated himself, performing a pose of utter humility and reverence.

Aziz shouted: "Savior! I am willing to kiss the soil you tread upon!"

The noble guest seated behind the Dragon Car's curtains originally hadn't even seen him.

Yet, seemingly having heard his cry, a boy's voice suddenly rang out from inside the carriage: "Stop, Leviathan."

—Leviathan?

Aziz's eyes lit up, etching the name of this Dragon Beast in his memory.

He immediately lifted his head, using a high-pitched voice to clearly offer praise: "Great and majestic Leviathan, prophecy's King of Indigo! Please pause your honorable steps, allow me to prostrate and drink the sweet shadow of our Savior, like blood!"

After concluding his praise, Aziz solemnly placed his staff by his side, regardless of the astonished or bewildered gazes from the surrounding people, he respectfully performed a salutation, prostrating by the side of the Dragon Car.

The cabin fell silent for a moment, it seemed whispers were carried out.

Using his exceptional hearing as a Transcendent, Aziz could easily discern the sound of the conversation.

—However, Aziz chose "not to listen," thereby proving his fairness and purity.

Even though the naked eye couldn't distinguish whether he listened attentively, Aziz always prepared all details ahead rather than hoping the other could comprehend every detail.

Indeed just acting obediently.

He had mastered this technique since childhood, costing him nothing.

If obedience required technical evaluation, he could certainly be considered a master in that field.

Though the third Ring couldn't be labeled as "commoners," Aziz was neither particularly popular. When most possessed real skills or truly noble status, those who rose through flattery and opportunism were met with dislike, resistance, and distance.

Parthians were far more aggressive compared to Avalonians—seeing an annoying individual, Avalonians usually just avoided them, possibly mocking upon meeting.

But Parthians were different. If they truly despised someone, regardless of any offense, they directly hired a Cursing Sorcerer, assassin, or pharmacist to kill first then talk.

Ordered remotely, even murders… if handled well, were untraceable to who initiated it.

In such circumstances, killings due to dislike were numerous. Parthians seldom bore grudges, they sought immediate vengeance.

Had Aziz not possessed his luxurious gear, he would have died countless times.

Finally, from within the carriage, a solemn voice emerged: "What is your name?"

It was not the previous youth's voice, but that of a young woman.

—This was recognition!

Aziz's spirits soared, thinking that he had finally made a name for himself.

Regardless of whether the opposite party remembered his name, uttering it meant victory!

Thus Aziz, without hesitation, proudly and loudly recited his name:

"Aziz Ben Abdul, Left Master of Ceremony of Holy Spring City! Savior of the Desert—this is my name, my identity! Grant me blood and wine sweeter than honey please!"
