When I wasn’t looking

At first I was a little disoriented but It only took me a second to get my bearings. I glanced to my right to see Chloe and Skyler were standing right beside me. Then I held my hand up to signal for them to be quiet for a moment while I listened for any movement in the apartment.

When I was sure that we were the only ones stirring around. I pulled my gun from it's holster and motioned for Skyler and Chloe to follow me.

As the three of us stealthily creeped into the bedroom I stopped a few feet away from the bed to listen carefully for spikes in his heartbeat. I just wanted to make sure he wasn't playing opossum.

And let me tell you, I was relieved to see that my girls knock out gas had done it's job and the three of us wasn't walking into an ambush.

The asshole was laid out on his bed face up with his hands in full view oblivious to the three people in his bedroom. Without saying a word Chloe pulled out the syringe with the seductive in it and handed it to me. Then Skyler pulled out the zip ties to bind his hands and feet just in case he woke up before we had time to put him in the dungeon.

Unfortunately the bottom half of his body was covered by the comforter so I set my target on his bicep. I stepped on over to the side of the bed and jabbed the needle in his arm. I was expecting him to scream of trash around but none of that happened. So I depressed the plunger just like Andie said to do .

And to my surprise he didn't even flinch so I turned to Skyler and took a couple of the zip ties binding his feet together.

" Do you want to flip him and bind his hands behind his back?" Skyler ask .

"I wouldn't ,but that's up to you, you're the one taking him to the dungeon." I replied.

"I'll just trust that Andie knows her drugs and bind his hands in the front." He murmured and got to work zip tying the bastards hands. He also stuff a sock in the assholes mouth that he found beside the bed.

" Ready" I ask as I pushed the heavy bastard up for Skyler to get him upon his shoulder.

After Skyler got the bastard up on his shoulder I reminded them. " Now don't forget to come back and get me."

" We won't" Chloe reassured me,and handed me her back pack that had my surveillance detection kit in it. She touched Skyler's shoulder and they disappeared.

After they left I snapped on a pair of latex gloves and picked up the syringe and compressed gas canister. Making sure I picked up the ring form the compressed gas container and put the protective plastic cover back on the syringe. Then I made a sweep through the house looking for any hidden cameras or listening devices. I also looked for evidence of this guy's involvement in the kidnapping of young Alpha Chase and the attempted kidnapping of Penny's little girl.

While searching the house I found several news paper clippings in a desk drawer. The newspaper clippings were from different places all over the US and Canada about werewolf sightings starting from way back in the 1940's. But that wasn't the most disturbing thing I found.

What disturbed me the most was a newspaper clipping about a kidnapping of a baby girl from a hospital in San Francisco almost seventeen years ago. To be precise the same day Peyton and Andie was born. I didn't have time to read the clippings so I stuffed them inside Chloe's backpack and kept searching for anything else that might tie this guy to the kidnappings.

Taking anything and everything that I thought might be important. I stuffed the evidence in a trash bag that I found underneath the sink in the kitchen. Things like one of those black shirts I found in his closet. And a box of silver bullets along with a 9mm pistol that was in his nightstand.

I also found a hand drawn map of the wilderness area around the pack house .After I searched through all the drawers and closets I searched behind the picture frames and underneath the area rugs. And finally I just looked around for things that might be out in plain sight. I wanted to making sure I didn't miss anything important. And just as I was about to go back through everything again Chloe and Skyler appeared in the hallway.

" You ready?" Skyler ask,

" Yeah" I replied picking up my bag of evidence off the floor and handing Chloe her little backpack.

Chloe slung the little backpack over her shoulder then grabbed my hand and in a blink of an eye we were back inside the hotel room with Andie.

" How did it go?" Andie blurted out anxiously rushing over to us.

" It went perfect," I reassured her, pulling her in for a hug to calm her down.The bond felt like a hyerkinetic mess of emotions and her little heart was beating just as erratic. " At least it did at the house .How did things go at the dungeon?"I ask Skyler and Chloe just to make sure everything went smoothly for them also.

" Couldn't have been better." Skyler confirmed. ". He never even moved, if it wasn't for the fact that he was still breathing you would think that he was dead."

"I'm just relieved that the three of you are back safe." My girl sighed with relief and the bond instantly became a lot less suffocating.

" Not a scratch on us sweetheart and I found a bunch of stuff in his house ." I said, pointing towards the trash bag that I had dropped on the table beside me.

" Let's see what you found." Skyler said excitedly peering over my shoulder at the bag on the table.

" Chloe there's some newspapers clippings in your backpack. I'd like to keep them with all this stuff too. One of them in particular has me a bit on edge." I murmured pulling my girl closer. "Sweetheart we need to tell Skyler and Chloe about what your dad told us. For some odd reason it's become part of this case."

" I don't care if Skyler and Chloe know. I'm not really sure why my dad kept it such a secret anyway."

" What's the big secret?" Skyler demanded as Chloe prowled through her backpack pulling the newspaper clippings out.

My girl sighed " My dad told us that Peyton and I are twins. And I was kidnapped the day I was born.He also said when he found me I was in some type of cryosleep.And apparently it took him almost two years to thaw me out."

"Oh my goddess,"Chloe gasped covering her mouth with her hands " Oh my goddess Andie, I remember right after Peyton was born we move to the Pack house my dad stopped practicing medicine for awhile and took over as Alpha. But he never told me why all he would tell me was that Uncle Lucius was busy with something very important and our family and the pack needed our help. I can remember it like it was yesterday. I was only six years old and dad made me go to the Pack School. I didn't like the idea at first because I had already started kindergarten in the private school in Eureka and made friends there. But after the first day I loved it because I didn't have to play like a human." Chloe rambled on until Skyler cut in with his own question.

" So what did you find that ruffled your fur? I've never even heard of a rumor about Andie being kidnapped. And apparently Alpha Lucius kept it quiet since Chloe and Andie didn't even know. Surly these bastards couldn't have known anything about it ."Skyler ask shuffling through the Newspaper clippings Chloe had laid on the table.

" That's where you're wrong we have all heard about it. Do you remember when I was about two years old the rumors about someone kidnapping a pure blood Alpha female. And everyone said the kidnappers were looking for a pure blooded Alpha male baby to have a mating pair of pure blooded Alpha's. Remember that's when mom put the fence up around the park. Because she was afraid someone would kidnap me."

Fuck! That baby girl was Andie? Skyler shouted, clearly finding it hard to believe. And I can't blame him up until Alpha Lucius told me Andie was kidnapped I thought the whole story was a bunch of bullshit.

" Yep, it had to be Andie, just think about it. Alpha Lucius has confirmed that Andie and Peyton are twins. Peyton is sixteen and Andie was kidnapped the day she was born. Now think about this,besides Andie there's only two other pure blooded Alpha females in the U.S. among our generation .Abigail ,Andie's sister is one of them and Julie is the other one. And nether one of them have ever been kidnapped." I explained, handing the newspaper clipping over for him to read.

" Wow dude, Do you realize that you would have been the only option to get a pure blooded Alpha male for breading here in the U.S. And do you think you're dad knows that Andie was kidnapped and that's the reason he didn't mind dishing out all that money for that high security fence around the park?" Skyler ask making me wonder if he was on to something here.

"You know it's a possibility. I murmured thoughtfully "and the main reason I say this is because dad seems awfully laid back about mine and Andie's relationship.Like last night when we left. All he reminded me of is that Andie is to young to drink in a human bar . He didn't seem a bit concerned that I was going to stay the night in a hotel room with a under age girl. It does makes me wonder if he has Andie's actual birth records form the human hospital that puts Andie age at the age of consent here in Alaska." I reasoned watching as my Beta's mouth dropped open at the realization that I could actually do as I pleased with my mate.

I could seduce her at any moment and nobody could say a word about it. But there's no way in hell I would ever do that. I'll wait for her to feel the bond no matter how long it takes. I'm in no hurry ,we have a life time together and I'm determined to make her feel loved and special while I wait for her to catch up.

" You're a good man Zack." Skyler praised lifting his brow as he said it.

" Oh, my goddess Andie is that why you shifted early and had your first heat last year." Chloe blurted out making Andie stiffen in my arms.

"Chloe" Andie groaned hiding her face in my chest.

" What ? You can't hide that from Zack. He's definitely going to know unless you have those pills your dad developed to eliminate the scent of your heat. And look at your ass sweetheart,I hate to tell you it's not a little girls ass anymore. That's a butt augmentation models ass modeling agencies pay big money to girls with a high tight little ass like yours. Don't be embarrassed about it girl. That little ass of yours is sexy as hell, that little thing pokes out deliciously and has a nice swing to it now." Chloe laughed historically when Andie groaned again and Skyler had the nerve to glance down at my girls ass.

A low growl bubbled up from deep inside my throat as I slipped my hand over my girl's ass to shield it from their damn eyes. Which only made both of them cackle like a damn witch and for Chloe to point out the obvious.

" See he's already noticed that sexy little thing." Which I can't deny.

Skyler smirked knowingly since he's already caught me checking out Andie's ass in my office the other day.

"I was just admiring Andie's fitness leave it's quite impressive considering she's so small." I lied. " Now to answer your question Chloe, Alpha Lucius has warned us that for some reason even though Andie is tiny. Her body chemistry does seem to be on par with her actual age of almost seventeen.Consequently

being the reason she shifted the same time Peyton did and as you pointed out she has already had her first heat. Which is normal for all sixteen year old shewolves. Well as far as I can remember from high school, it seemed like every week some girl was getting to stay at home for a week because she was in heat and couldn't leave the house."

" Not in our Pack, Uncle Lucius passed out thoes pills like candy and all of us girls had to suck it up and go to school anyway." Chloe grumble

" Why hasn't he put them on one of those werewolf websites like Andie's baby bath products?" I ask, truly curious these pills seemed like a simple solution to what has been a big problem for years.

Once a year young unmated shewolves go into heat and need to stay at home for a whole week of their life without so much as going out in the yard. Because the only males that are

safe for them to be around is their family.

" I believe the reason is because he doesn't think other packs will trust something he developed that can eliminate heat symptoms. You know werewolves are suspicious people they may try to accuse my dad of trying to eliminate their pack by turning the young shewolves sterile." Andie explanded, making me wonder if it actually has any affect on gether reproduction.

" Does it have any affect on the reproductive

System?" I had to ask

" Not at all, the girls in our pack have been taking them for about ten years now and plenty of us have babies." Chloe reassured me.
