Chapter 287: The Restored Destroyer Armor
Asgard.
Heimdall hurried through the golden halls of the palace, his steps heavy with urgency. He came before Odin, kneeling on one knee.
"Odin All-Father, I bring news from Midgard. The Dragon Balls have awakened once again."
Odin's one eye gleamed with interest. It had not been long since he last left Earth, and already such divine relics had resurfaced.
"You are certain? Have you found their location?"
Heimdall lowered his head.
"I have sensed the presence of one Dragon Ball. The others… remain concealed."
Odin nodded with satisfaction. "One is enough for now." He dismissed Heimdall, then summoned his guards.
"Bring Thor to me."
A moment later, the sound of heavy footsteps echoed as Thor stormed in, Mjolnir in hand.
"Father, you called?"
Odin's tone was grave.
"Thor, the Dragon Balls of Midgard have revived. You must go there, gather them, and use their power to revive your brother."
Thor's eyes lit up with joy.
"Loki… he can return!"
But then, he frowned.
"Father, the Bifrost is still broken. How will I reach Midgard?"
"I have gathered much Dark Cosmic Energy," Odin explained. "It will be enough to send you to Earth."
Thor's excitement doubled. Not only would he see his brother revived, but also reunite with Jane Foster.
"Then send me at once!"
Odin did not scold his son's impatience. Instead, he gave Thor all the information he had about the Dragon Balls, then unleashed the dark energy. In a flash, Thor vanished, reappearing near the Dragon Ball Heimdall had detected.

Elsewhere—
Smith Dole entered Bulma's laboratory.
"Bulma, what new invention do you have this time?"
She smiled and pulled him toward the center of the room. There, displayed on a mannequin, was a gleaming suit of armor.
"Smith-nii, I repaired this from the fragments of the Destroyer you gave me."
Smith's eyes widened. The armor looked entirely different—sleeker, smaller.
"It's… shrunken? How?"
Bulma explained with excitement:
"The material used to forge it has regenerative properties, and it can alter its size. I adjusted it so the armor can expand or contract as needed. It can even grow back to its original massive form."
Smith's eyes shone. That meant he could wear it even in his Great Ape form—just like a Saiyan's combat suit.
"And the autonomous combat ability it once had?" he asked.
Bulma shook her head.
"That function was lost. I tried integrating artificial intelligence, but it failed."
Smith wasn't disappointed. He approached, lifted the armor, and the suit instantly bonded to his body, fitting like a second skin. The helmet could be worn or left off at will.
As he moved, he felt the difference—the magical runes inscribed within were altered. His ki remained unchanged, but his physical power and defense were clearly enhanced. He clenched his fists, testing the strength. The Destroyer armor was no mere relic—it was now a weapon worthy of gods.
"Thank you, Bulma. You've truly restored it."
She smiled warmly. "As long as it helps you, I'm happy."
Just then, visions flickered in Smith's mind—Xu Wenwu, Tony Stark, and Thor each securing Dragon Balls. His expression hardened. The next Dragon Ball Tournament would be fiercer than the last.
Tony's success surprised him—this was his second time obtaining one. Thor's appearance shocked him more; by his knowledge, the God of Thunder should not have returned to Earth until the Avengers' first assembly. Yet here he was, already holding a Dragon Ball.
As for Wenwu, Smith expected it. Shang-Chi and Xialing surely told their father of the Dragon Balls, and Wenwu's obsession with reviving his wife ensured he would stop at nothing.
Smith narrowed his eyes. Between Thor, Wenwu, and Stark, the coming battles promised to be extraordinary. Fortunately, Bulma had finished the armor at the perfect time. As host of the Tournament, he would need overwhelming strength to keep challengers in check.
Far away in India, Bruce Banner also heard of the Dragon Balls' revival. But unlike before, he shook his head. Now at peace with the Hulk, able to transform at will, he understood the truth—Hulk would never help him fight for such prizes. For that reason, Banner chose not to pursue the Dragon Balls, nor enter the Tournament.
