When Dragon Balls Descend Upon Marvel

Chapter 223: Your Undercover Agent Is My Undercover Agent

Ivan Vanko packed his self-made battle armor into a crate and boarded the private jet arranged by the Moscow branch of the League of Assassins.

Before stepping into the plane, he turned his head to glance at the sky. This time, he was determined to secure investment, make the Vanko family name known, and bring his father over to receive better treatment and a comfortable life.

Meanwhile.

Tony was in the villa's gym sparring with Happy.

Pepper Potts walked in and called out,

"Come on, the notary is here. You need to sign some documents."

Tony, still trading punches with Happy, replied,

"I'm busy beating up Happy."

He then drove an elbow into Happy's face.

Happy groaned,

"What move is that?"

Tony smirked.

"This is called mixed martial arts — it's just catching on."

Happy shot back,

"This is called dirty boxing — it's been around forever."

Ignoring him, Tony urged,

"Put them on. Let's go!"

Thanks to the recovery from the treatment pod, Tony felt his reflexes were back to their peak.

At that moment, Natasha, dressed in a sharp professional outfit, walked in, immediately catching Happy's attention.

Seeing Happy's reaction, Tony also turned and looked at her.

Pepper said,

"I promise this is the only time I'll ask — please transfer the company to me."

Natasha handed over the documents,

"Sign with your initials, please."

Pepper took the pen and began signing.

Tony, however, kept staring at Natasha. Happy lightly tapped him on the head and teased,

"Lesson one — never take your eyes off the target."

Tony kicked him in the gut, sending him stumbling back into the ring post.

Happy's loud groan caught Natasha's attention.

Tony rang the bell hanging on the ring and pointed at Natasha,

"I'm done. What's your name, miss?"

"Natalie Rushman."

"Come on up."

Pepper objected,

"No, you can't be serious about sparring with her!"

"The judge decides."

Natasha smiled,

"I'm the judge. No problem."

Pepper, a bit apologetic, said,

"Sorry, Tony can be strange."

Natasha stepped into the ring, her movements highlighting her graceful figure. Tony stared openly. After a few seconds of silent eye contact, he asked,

"What?"

Natasha didn't answer, just studied him.

Tony turned to Happy,

"Can you give her a lesson?"

"No problem!"

Tony left the ring and sat next to Pepper.

"Pepper."

"What?"

"Who is she?"

"She's from Legal. If you keep staring like that, you'll end up with a harassment suit."

"You got promoted. I need a new assistant."

Pepper ignored the remark,

"I've got three strong candidates for you to interview."

"I don't have time for interviews. I want one now — and I think she's perfect."

"No way."

In the ring, Happy asked,

"Ever boxed before?"

The woman posing as Natalie smiled,

"Yes."

"Cardio kickboxing, aerobics, yoga?"

Tony, from the couch, asked,

"How do you spell your last name?"

"Natalie Rush-man."

Tony clapped his hands and activated the touch-screen built into the small table beside him.

Pepper raised an eyebrow,

"You're looking her up?"

"I need to know about my new assistant."

In seconds, Natalie's profile popped up. Tony's eyes lit up.

"Wow, she's impressive."

He read aloud,

"Fluent in French, Italian, and Latin."

"Who speaks Latin?" he asked Pepper.

"No one. It's nearly extinct — people might read it, but no one speaks it."

Tony scrolled to a modeling photo and grinned,

"Did you model in Tokyo?"

"She did."

"She even worked under Fox at Capsule Corporation — back before it was called Capsule Corporation. She participated in Fox's shorting and takeover attempt of Stark Industries."

"I need her — she's the full package. Do you know why she left Fox?"

"Family matters — needed a long break. Otherwise she'd still be there. Background check didn't flag anything. You think there's a problem?"

"We could ask Fox or Smith about her."

Deciding it was worth checking, Tony picked up the phone and called Smith Dole.

Natasha, hearing this, glanced over but didn't seem worried about what Smith might say.

Happy's voice rang out in the ring,

"Rule one — eyes on your opponent."

Before he could finish, Natasha caught his punching arm, flipped over, locked her legs around his neck, and slammed him to the mat.

The thud was loud enough to make Tony and Pepper gasp in surprise.
