Chapter 163: Looking for Trouble? I Love It! _3
At the critical moment, as if fortune favored his mind, Old Tang's mixed martial arts training kicked in. He spun around and landed a kick in Ye Ping'an's stomach, knocking him down.
The vegetable knife flew off to the side.
But at this point, there could be no more violence, and luckily, Old Tang had learned emergency medical aid at the hospital before. He quickly stepped back and started to press down near the wound to stop the bleeding.
The scene was extremely harrowing, with a middle-aged man in a short-sleeved shirt knocked down and scrambling to grab the knife, while a pale-faced young man's wrist was mostly severed, hanging by a mere thread, as blood continuously gushed out.
Ye Ping'an, now out of his mind with panic, reached for the knife, shouting, "Everyone get the hell out of my way, or I'll fucking kill anyone who tries to stop me!"

However, just at that moment, a stick came crashing down solidly on his head.
That hit wasn't light, Ye Ping'an's vision began to blur.
"Who the fuck hit me?"
Yet it wasn't over. A voice suddenly rang out, "Everyone hurry, Lawyer Tang has been injured!"
Instantly, the elderly men and women chatting in the courtyard, the parents who had just returned from picking up their children, and the vendors selling fruit and seeds nearby, all rushed out!
Wang, an elder holding his crutch, rushed to the forefront. Without Tang Fangjing, he could very well have lost his life last time—who dares touch Lawyer Tang now?
The fruit and seed vendors had been troubled by urban management before, being fined left and right. It was Tang Fangjing who had taken on their case without charge, eventually resolving the matter.
Now, they were wielding their scales, eyes blazing with fury.
Just as Ye Ping'an stood up, he saw a white-haired old man swinging a cane, rushing toward him.
Old Wang's cane struck straight across the face!
Ye could only lift his arms, trying to block.
However, Tang Fangjing's neighbor, Old Qian, was even more ruthless. The initial blow with the stick had been his doing, snatched from the almost toothless Old Li's hand.
Being over eighty, Old Li didn't have the strength to fight, so he just hopped around on the side, shouting...
Ye Ping'an barely managed to open his eyes and shout before a kick sent him sprawling, and then it felt as if countless people were ruthlessly beating him.
What is going on? I didn't start this in Tengda; this is happening outside the residential complex.
Have these people all gone mad? I wasn't targeting them!
Ye Ping'an had no idea what Tang Fangjing had done over the past four years; he had helped nearly everyone in the Yuefu Residential Complex and its surroundings.
Whenever he had the time, he would conduct legal awareness programs in the complex, offering advice to neighbors wishing to assert their rights. Initially, it was the community that invited him, but later, Old Tang took the initiative himself.
The neighbors weren't originally so enraged, but upon seeing the terrible state of Tang Fangjing, they were absolutely furious.
Some hurriedly called the police, while others dialed the emergency services.
"Lawyer Tang, I've called the emergency services; they'll be quick, hang in there," someone informed.
Old Tang nodded and said, "Tell everyone to stop hitting. We don't want to cause any more trouble."
Hearing this, someone stepped forward to start persuading, "Old Wang, stop hitting him, the police will be here any minute."
After much persuasion, the beating finally ceased. By then, Ye Ping'an was lying there, holding his arm, too weak to speak.
In truth, everyone had shown restraint in their blows, not inflicting any serious harm, but a bruised and swollen face was inevitable—looking quite frightful.
When Old Ge arrived, he came upon this scene: a crowd standing around, some with canes, others holding weights, all guarding a person lying in the middle.
There was blood all over the ground. Tang Fangjing's arm was almost snapped in two, smiling at him amid the pool of blood.
"Uncle Ge, you're here," Old Tang greeted him from where he lay.
Even Ge, who had seen much in his lifetime, was startled by the sight. "What happened here, who did this? Did you call an ambulance?" he asked.
"We've already called; they said they're on their way, but it might take some time because of the lunchtime rush," Old Tang replied calmly, his face paler than usual, but otherwise looking no different.
Indeed, the sight of Tang Fangjing's wounds had frightened the surrounding neighbors, yet there he was, chatting and laughing as if nothing had happened.
The community's Secretary Tian had also arrived and was explaining the situation to Old Ge.
"You're saying this guy is one of the leaders of that former property management company? So, he came out specifically for revenge, is that right?" Old Ge asked, frowning. "Does Tang Fangjing know about this?"
Since it had been the economic investigation department that made the arrest, Old Ge hadn't seen Ye Ping'an.
"He knows; it was him who recognized this man," Secretary Tian replied, his expression carrying a hint of dread.
Nobody wanted to deal with a madman like that. They looked at Tang Fangjing, still so composed, and remained unmoved.
"Are you Ye Ping'an?" Old Ge asked.
Ye Ping'an weakly sat up from the ground, glanced at Old Ge in front of him, and then over at Tang Fangjing, whose arm was almost severed. He arrogantly replied, "Yeah, that's me. So what?"
"Tang Fangjing, chopping off just one of your hands was too lenient for you. You ruined everything for me. Let me tell you, when I get out next time, I'll still make sure to kill you!"
"And all of you, I remember you too. None of you will get away!"
"Shut your mouth!" Old Ge shouted at him.
However, those around felt a chill. Ye Ping'an's demeanor was too frightening now, and everyone favored a peaceful life over encountering someone so recklessly vengeful.
