WHAT! I Have To Kill Heaven's Son To Live!

Chapter 220: You’d better stay out of my sight!

Two More Hours Passed…

It was already night outside, but within the Secret Realm, it remained bright as day.

By now, nearly all of the top-ranking disciples had located their targets and were locked in intense battles against formidable puppets.

Within another frame beside Yang Lie on the Spiritual Screen, a new figure commanded attention—Yang Mi.

She was currently engaged in combat with the second most powerful puppet, one whose strength rivaled that of a Stage-2 Golden Core Realm cultivator.

She moved with a dancer's grace, her every motion elegant and precise.

A gentle silver glow shimmered around her—Lunar Energy, emanating from her Sacred-Grade Moonlit Valkyrie Constitution.

"She's not just a pretty face. This little girl is quite exceptional too," remarked Elder Ming Rong of Flower Fragrance Peak, her voice a soft hum, yet tinged with pride.

"She has already awakened her Lunar Aura—and to think it's only been three months since her constitution awakened. Her control is remarkable. She will make a fine seedling for our peak."

Elder Ming Rong, seated gracefully nearby, was a vision of beauty herself—long black hair adorned with delicate ornamental hairpieces, her appearance that of a noblewoman in her early twenties.

Flower Fragrance Peak—a peak that only accepted talented female cultivators—was among the Top Five Peaks of the sect.

Its Head was the legendary Crimson Blaze Queen, Great Elder Li Qin, master of the Xu Liang.

Ming Rong, as the Vice Head, was also renowned—known throughout the sect as the Butterfly Flower Fairy, famed for her mastery of ethereal, flower-based techniques.

She was also the youngest Elder in the entire Supreme Dao Sect.

"She is Yang Lie's sister, after all," commented Elder Bin Ling of Jade Lotus Peak, a calm and scholarly man in his centuries.

"Both siblings are truly blessed by the heavens. Congratulations, Elder Ming Rong. You've found a rare gem for your peak as well."

"Mhm," she nodded with a proud smile.

In yet another box on the Spiritual Screen, Ma Shen, the undisputed top outer disciple, was locked in battle with a puppet at the Peak of the Foundation Realm.

He fought fiercely, his spear art wild and overwhelming.

Sparks danced as he pierced through the puppet with explosive strength, defeating it cleanly.

"Hmph. The top-ranked outer disciple isn't lagging far behind either," said Elder Qin Shi of Starlight Spear Peak—a Spear Master from the sect's third most powerful peak—his eyes narrowing with interest.

"His talent with the spear may not reach the heavens like Zhou Qingxue—the Sect Master's daughter, and the first in our sect's history to awaken Golden Spear Aura—but he's still among the top ten spear prodigies of our sect."

Qin Shi sat with a calm yet commanding presence, his aura quietly imposing.

Though well into his eighties, he looked no older than a fierce, broad-shouldered man in his thirties.

Renowned throughout the sect as the Thunder Spear Dragon, he had earned the title through his unrivaled mastery of thunder-infused spear techniques.

But then—

A deep, irritated voice broke through the ongoing discussions.

"What are you all babbling about?" said Elder Quin Xulin, the Saber Master of Mystic Saber Peak, his gaze sharp as a blade.

He gestured toward another box on the Spiritual Screen, his tone laced with pride.

"Look at her. Among this entire generation, she is the one who shines the brightest."

The screen displayed Yi Ran, her figure moving like moonlight over water as she faced the most powerful puppet of the first round—its strength comparable to a Stage-3 Golden Core Realm cultivator.

Within just a few graceful exchanges, she had already subdued the puppet, her every movement precise, fluid, and utterly devastating.

Elder Quin Xulin continued, his voice growing more passionate.

"Her saber movements… it's beyond anything I've seen in decades. Deceptively simple, yet profound—each step and slash guided by instinct honed in a higher realm of comprehension."

"It's as if her soul once danced at the pinnacle of the Saber Dao—and now, her mortal body is simply recalling the echoes of that past."

He paused, letting the weight of his words settle.

"Tell me… is there anything left for us to teach her? When she joins our peak, what can we possibly offer—other than protection?"

Quin Xulin was a striking man—long chestnut-brown hair tied back with a finely-crafted pin, his eyes cold yet burning with intensity.

Known across the sect as the Shadow Saber Tyrant, he had long been the lifelong rival of Elder Nin Wing from Sky Sword Peak.

From his seat, Elder Bin Ling of Jade Lotus Peak blinked in surprise.

"Now that you mention it… it's true. She moves almost like a Saber Saint—not one who's still learning, but one who has simply not yet reawakened her former realm."

"Y-Yes," another elder stammered, watching Yi Ran with awe. "It's hard to believe… it's almost surreal."

"A-Ahem. In any case… congratulations, Elder Quin Xulin," said Elder Shing Li of Blue Mountain Peak, clearing his throat awkwardly.

"To gain such a natural genius of the saber… Mystic Saber Peak is truly blessed."

'Tch… Why do these top-ranked peaks keep getting monstrous geniuses year after year, while we're left with dull rocks barely worth polishing?' Elder Shing Li cursed inwardly, masking his frustration with a polite smile.

"Congratulations, Elder Quin Xulin," another elder echoed, admiration mixed with envy.

But not everyone was celebrating.

A low scoff came from Elder Nin Wing, the proud sword master of Sky Sword Peak.

His eyes glinted coldly, his words laced with subtle venom.

"But didn't I hear… she was completely defeated by some loser just last month? In front of a crowd, no less. How is she a genius if a nameless trash could crush her like that?"

He chuckled mockingly.

"Elder Quin, your eyes might be sharp with the saber—but perhaps not so much with talents."

Several other elders nodded, responding with thinly veiled jealousy.

"Ohh, right—I heard about that too. It caused quite a stir in the sect."

"Yeah, rumors say he might be carrying some powerful artifact or hidden treasure."

"What was that loser's name again…? Can't recall."

"Xue Tanling… or something?"

"Hahaha, no, no—it was Xue Taiyang. Wasn't he from Blue Mountain Peak, Elder Shing Li?"

"Oh, that's right. I remember now. He was considered a genius a few years ago... but recently, he was expelled from the Inner Sect for poor talent and unruly behavior."

"Think he'll pass the trial this time?"

"If he relies on that artifact of his or some other tricks… maybe. Hahaha…"

Hearing the sneers and mockery, two elders visibly bristled—veins bulging with fury.

One was Elder Shing Li of Blue Mountain Peak, Xue Taiyang's former peak mentor.

The other, Elder Qin Xulin of Mystic Saber Peak—who was furious not for Taiyang's sake, but because his long-time rival now had a fresh excuse to humiliate him in front of everyone.

'Xue Taiyang…!! You'd better stay out of my sight.'
