Yes, I made sure to triple tap him to make sure he's dead.

We didn't really bother looting the place aside from the Credit chips that they had before Amber set fire to the place and let it burn to the ground, including the escape tunnel as well.

Amber even made sure that it was a controlled fire where she only burned the building and nothing else around it so we don't accidentally destroy the entire station.

That way, even if people were to investigate, they might just conclude that the gang simply had a freak accident and burned the entire place down with no survivors.

Or maybe just some other gang within the station took them down.

Most likely they wouldn't think that a group of Mercenaries came here and took out an entire gang by themselves.

Why didn't we just loot the guns we sold them? That is a great question.

And my answer would be… We're too lazy.

We'd have to spend the time to pick them up and then transport them back to the ship which would definitely draw attention to us since we don't really have a way to return to our ship without being seen pushing along boxes of weapons. Then we would have to find someone else to sell this to again and honestly, I don't really want to be dragged into a problem like this if I could help it.

Ok, the last part was kind of a lie, I wouldn't mind that since it might mean more loot for us and more Credits, something I would definitely not say no to. It really was just the dragging all that stuff back to the ship that made us decide not to do it.

Besides, we do have quite a bit of money saved up and we're not short on Credits, so just looting the loose Credit Chips from these guys is enough for us.

With our goal complete, we returned to our ship and we got out of there as fast as we could.

We're obviously not going to just hang around the place and risk Feng or anyone else figuring out we had anything to do with an entire gang getting wiped out overnight. The fact we also set fire to the place definitely wasn't going to earn us any points with the station's security and station master.

So now we're all on our way to the dwarves! Or, as they are known in this universe, the Zwergers!

Yumiko already gave the coordinates to Renata so we didn't need to worry about that as our resident eldritch maid piloted the ship expertly like it was an extension of her own body. Which honestly… I wouldn't be surprised if that was actually the case.

Right now though, I got called to the back of the ship by Renata to settle something at her workshop.

When I entered the room, I found the original Renata with Ries and both of them seemed to be arguing about something with the Power Armour being the focus of their argument.

"What are you talking about?! There's no way I would allow something like that! You're basically undoing everything!"

"No I'm not! It still is the same thing just that it becomes much more moddable! That's the main point of this armour isn't it?"

"Then I'll make a new one! You can take that one instead!"

"You don't even have the materials for that! I already know that the materials you used for this armour only came to you by happenstance!"

"Then why don't you just make some materials then?"

"I'll have to consume the materials themselves to know how to make them to begin with!"

I cleared my throat, "Ahem… Is there a problem?"

Both girls turned to me before they started to run towards me.

"Daddy!"

"Boss!"

I braced myself and managed not to fall over when both of them pounced towards me and leapt into my arms.

"Daddy!! Big sister Ries is being a meanie!"

"Boss!! Your daughter is being mean!"

Ok, first of all, I don't really see Renata as my daughter, Ries… I see it more as her calling me 'Daddy' as her kink more than anything else.

But well… I think this wasn't the time for me to comment on that so I nodded at them, "What's going on?"

Both Ries and Renata looked at each other and I realised they were checking with each other to see who should answer that question.

Ries nodded at Renata indicating she would let her speak and the eldritch maid immediately turned back to me.

"Daddy! Remember how those doors were too small for you to pass through them with the Power Armour? I think I can fix that!"

I raised an eyebrow at her, "How?"

"I'll take the place of the Power Armour!"

I just stared at her for a few moments, wondering just how she came to that conclusion and how it would even work.

Ries came to my rescue, "She intends to consume the Power Armour and then recreate herself as the armour so that you can wear her, Boss…"

Ah.

"Err… Is that even possible?" I asked, alternating between looking at Ries and Renata.

Renata nodded, "I should be able to recreate it perfectly if I were to consume it."

Ries puffed her cheeks at her, "'Should' is not good enough! Do you know how long I spent on this? What if you can't and Boss ends up being less safe because of that?"

"Well, Daddy was less safe because the Power Armour was unable to fit into the tunnel! So what difference does it make?"

"The difference is that that situation was only something that happens rarely! So the Power Armour is still usable in every other instance! If you are unable to replicate it, then that means every future instance that Boss is able to use it means she will be in more danger every single time! I am completely against this!"

"If this succeeds, Daddy can be safe all the time! Isn't that a better trade?"

"That's only if your plan works! I'm not going to bank on uncertainties like this!"

"We never know if we don't try!"

I cleared my throat again to interrupt them before they get too far into their argument once more, "Ahem… Girls? I get the arguments on both sides at least…"

Renata pointed at Ries, "Then tell her Daddy!"

At the same time, Ries also pointed at Renata, "Tell her, Boss!"

I sighed, "Well… I get why Ries doesn't want to risk it… After all, she did spend quite a long time gathering the materials to build it and if it was rendered useless in an instant… That would be pretty bad. But I also understand that Renata must have felt especially frustrated that I couldn't bring you along with me into the tunnel and didn't want that to happen again so you're looking for a way to prevent that from happening again, right?"

Actually… I think Renata just wanted to follow along with me to watch that guy get his head blown off but I'll keep that part to myself.

Both girls nodded at me eagerly.

I gestured towards them, "As I said, I understand both of your concerns but… There is one thing I need to know as well… If we go with Renata's plan… Wouldn't this mean that I would just be inside Renata's body? Is that… I dunno… Safe?"

Renata placed a hand over her chest, "Daddy! Of course you would be safe! There is nowhere else safer than with me protecting you! I can assure you of that!"

Hmm… Seeing that she was basically immune to kinetic rounds… I was wondering if that property still existed even if she transformed herself. If it does, then her claims would actually be quite legitimate.

I nodded, "I know, but how about we have a compromise here? Maybe we can test it out on another set of Power Armour first to see how well you can assimilate it before we use it on Ries's creation? It's not like we are in a rush to use one right now, anyway, right?"

"Muuu… I can test it out on clothes, Daddy! Then you can wear me to see for yourself!"

I didn't even get to respond to that because Ries suddenly let out a loud gasp and pointed at Renata, "I get it now! How did I not see this?! Your main goal wasn't that! It was not to make sure Boss is safe! No wait, you definitely have that goal… But it was a side goal! Your main goal this entire time was just so that you can get Boss to be inside you, you dirty pervert!!"

Err… Ries… I really don't think Renata actually sees me that way… I think she really just--

"What's wrong with that! I see Daddy pushing inside your holes all the time! Why can't I have Daddy inside me too?! In fact, I can take Daddy's entire body inside me! Yet Daddy never called for me! That is unfair!! I want Daddy inside me tooooo!!"
