What Do You Mean I'm The Captain Of A Yandere Mercenary Company?

Chapter 628: They Already Want A Meeting

All we wanted was to come here and sell stuff… Not get involved in a gang war…

I sighed, "Let me guess… There's a rival gang that wants to take over Feng's business and they are lacking the firepower needed to make that a reality… So now that we're here with an entire shipload of weapons, they want to try and get that from us so that they can proceed with their plan? And if Feng gets these weapons before them, it would make it harder for them to overthrow Feng?"

Mara nodded, "You've got it, Captain."

Well… I would say that I've experienced enough of such encounters that I can recognise a pattern by now.

I sighed again, "So should we still proceed on with the sale?"

Lea tilted her head at me, "Why not, Mistress? It's not like the lives of the people on this station are our business?"

Amber also nodded, "We're just here to do business by selling weapons. Whatever they use the weapons for is none of our business~"

Well… That's another way of saying we don't care if they use the weapons we sold them to kill each other and probably destroy the station in the process… But what do I know?

I guess that also means we're still going forward with our sale but now we have to look out for another group trying to get the weapons from us.

"Do you think they will try to buy it from us or maybe try to steal it?" I asked.

Yumiko shrugged, "If they are smart, they would pay for it. If they are desperate, then they will steal it. Do we know which category they belong to?"

Mara shook her head, "He's just a spy and isn't connected to the inner workings of the gang so he doesn't know."

"Well… Unfortunately he has already seen us so he should be reporting back to his superior about us. I suppose we should just be prepared for this to go either way," I decided before dusting myself off. "Did we get everything we need?"

The girls nodded.

"Then I say we just confine ourselves to our ship for the rest of the day and wait for that guy to show up tomorrow. Or prepare for this other gang to do something in between that time frame."

All of us grabbed our things and left that street to head back to our ship.

Honestly, I was expecting us to get ambushed on the way back but surprisingly, nothing happened.

Heck, I even intentionally made us walk in circles around the street just to check if there was anyone following us but there didn't seem to be anyone stalking us this time so we decided to just go back to the ship.

But when we got back though… That's where we found a discarded personal terminal left in front of our ship's entrance hatch that was not there when we left it.

Someone came here while we were out it seems…

At first I thought it was just someone misplacing it until the screen turned on and a shadowed figure was projected in front of us.

"Hello there," The figure greeted in a voice that had been clearly changed digitally. "You don't know me but this isn't important here. What you would like to know is that I am also interested in the weapons you are selling. I am prepared to offer a good price for them right now if you agree to meet. If you do, leave this tablet beside the elevator and we will come and find you. If you decline, just leave it where you found it."

With that delivery of that message, the screen fizzled out of existence and the personal terminal shut down.

I turned back to look at my girls and they were also looking back at me, clearly waiting to see what I would decide to do.

"Well… I guess they came to find us first… Question is whether we should take this or not?"

Ries scratched her cheek, "I think it's always better to have more options?"

Amber nodded, "And like I said, we're only just here for the money. Whatever they do with the guns we sell them is their business."

"Hmm… In that case… I guess we can just listen to their offer before we decide?"

Yumiko crossed her arms, "That's assuming they would even let us leave if we choose not to sell it to them."

I raised an eyebrow at her, "You're expecting them to threaten us then?"

"Wouldn't be surprised if they did if they are desperate enough. I suspect that they will first give you a lowball offer just to gauge our reaction. Then raise it slightly depending on how we reacted before resorting to threats. That's what I would do if I was in their shoes."

Well, I would trust the former Pirate Lord to know how these outlaws would act so I guess I should plan around that.

I looked down at the personal terminal, "I guess we might as well just go see what they are trying to offer us then. If we rejected them outright, I have a feeling that we would find more trouble instead."

Renata peeked at me, "Why don't we just sell to both sides, Daddy? Nothing is stopping us from doing that, right?"

Wait… She's right.

I turned to Yumiko, "He's not actually going to buy out our entire stock right?"

Yumiko shook her head, "We didn't show him the entire stock either. It was a majority of it but we didn't go there expecting him to buy everything, just a significant amount of it."

"In that case… We can just show the stock that we did not show Feng to this group instead and then sell it to both sides?"

Amber grinned, "Ohhhh playing both sides, Tera? And giving them both weapons to kill each other with? This is why I love you~"

Hey, it's all just good business. Would be stupid if I supplied one side with weapons and take their money and then ignored a money making opportunity by selling weapons to the other side too!

That way… Both sides would still be at an impasse and I might even come back to sell more weapons to both sides again! That's way better than just selling weapons to one side and then after they win, they tell me they no longer need to buy anymore weapons from me and I lose out on a business opportunity!

Yeah, long term planning for the win!

"Let's do that, Amber, could you take that personal terminal and place it beside the elevator?"

She gleefully complied and ran off with the item in her hand while the rest of us went inside the ship.

I'm expecting this group to come to us once again to either buy from us directly on site or have another contact approach us to arrange for a meet up.

My bet is that they'll probably come here directly to buy from us since they already know Feng would probably be getting his weapons from us tomorrow so they cannot lag behind him.

And if they decide that we were better off dead than supplying Feng… At least we would have home ground advantage.

But of course, if they're here to do business, then we wouldn't mind selling them what they want.

First things first, we would have to separate out the weapons that we had already listed to Feng just in case the other side also wants them. If we end up selling to this side and Feng starts questioning why the guns we said we could supply him were suddenly no longer in supply, he might realise that we were also selling to the other side.

Even if I intend to play both sides, I believe it would be best that neither side knew that we were playing both sides of course.

With all the girls working together, we were finished separating them in just a few minutes when Renata turned towards the docking hatch.

"Daddy? Someone's at the door."

A ringing sound came from the hatch which indicated that someone was seeking entry into our ship.

"You knew?" I asked.

She nodded, "I just integrated myself to the ship's security systems so I saw them coming. Do you want to know who put the personal terminal outside our ship as well? I can replay back the footage."

"It's alright, we don't need to know."

I brought out my Codex and the screen popped up to show the corridor outside of our entrance hatch, revealing a rather large group of people gathered outside, all of them seemed to be accompanying a guy who also looked out of place in this station.

Unlike everyone else who was wearing dirty and worn out clothes with cybernetic mods replacing some of their bodies, the man leading the group looked completely unmodded and was even wearing a white suit.

I'm going to make a guess that these weren't Feng's guys and were part of the other group that is hostile to Feng instead.

Alright girls, guess it's time to open up shop and do some business~
