What Do You Mean I'm The Captain Of A Yandere Mercenary Company?

Looking at the ships that were all parked out here… I wonder if we should spend the time to go and loot all of these ships?

The problem is that this would take a lot of time and with just the few of us… We might even spend a few weeks just going through the ships and that's assuming they even have anything of value in them.

Honestly, at this point, I just want to get out of here already… Maybe just go back to our ship and spend a good night in my bed and not worrying about some AI sending killer androids after me or my girls.

Then I figured that the best person to check if the ships were worth looting or not was the former Pirate Lord herself so I asked if we should even bother with it.

Her response was that most of the loot would have been on her main ship which the pirates had already taken and flew off with. Apparently she also had a D Class Destroyer as her flagship but well… We can all see that there isn't a D Class Destroyer around right now.

No doubt the surviving pirates had chosen to escape with it, probably to continue using it as a way to continue pirating.

Speaking of which, the Exo-Knight that Matsumoto had been piloting was missing too. So I assume the pirates must have also taken that with them.

And of course… Renata looked at one of the ships and pointed at it, "Can I eat that, Daddy?"

I looked at the giant C Class Corvette that Renata was pointing at and I turned back to stare at her, "Can you even eat something that big?"

"Mmm… I dunno? Can I try?"

Just to reiterate again, this is a C Class Corvette. That ship is roughly the same size as our ship… And Renata just asked if she could eat that entire thing.

Well… You know what?

I shrugged in my Power Armour, "If you are able to eat the entire thing I guess?"

"Yayyyy! Thank you, Daddy!!"

I watched as she skipped over to the ship and all of us were staring at her since all of us were curious on how she was going to eat an entire ship.

She stood at the back of the ship and once again, her chest opened up and part of her extended towards the ship.

That part of her stuck to one of the ship's thrusters and it slowly expanded to start spreading to the rest of the ship.

But judging by the speed of her expansion… It looked like it was going to take a while.

All of us watched in silence as she covered more and more of the engine thrusters and I believe it took her a solid full minute to finally wrap that part of her around that particular thruster.

She continued to expand for a while more before a loud groaning sound came from the ship's frame which was then followed by a metallic snapping sound.

Renata then retracted that part of her body back almost instantly and the thruster was completely gone, the protrusion having been absorbed by her completely.

The purple haired eldritch being then let out a loud burp before turning to me.

"Ehehehe~ I'm full already, Daddy~"

So she can even feel full huh… Good to know then…

None of us made any comments and I simply led the way back towards our ship which was thankfully left untouched by the pirates.

We boarded the lift that brought us up into the cargo bay without incident and only when the lift locked itself back into place with a soft hiss did I finally let myself relax.

Finally… We only went inside that facility for a day or so but it felt like I've spent a week inside it at least…

I let out a sigh before nodding at Yumiko, "Why don't you follow Amber and get settled in? Amber, let her have one of the spare rooms."

Both of them nodded at me and stepped off the platform to head in the direction of the sleeping quarters.

Ries also went off with Mara to store and arrange the loot we got from the pirates, leaving me with Renata.

Renata hopped off the platform and onto the cargo bay before turning to me.

"Daddy! Is it alright if I take the position of the ship's maid?"

I blinked at her, "You mean… Like cleaning the ship and stuff? Don't Ries's drones already do that?"

"I think I can do a better job, Daddy! And I can also help with the ship's security too! Oh! I know! I can also take the place of the ship's pilot! That way, sister Ries won't need to be pulled away from her workshop!"

Hmm… I will admit that I have been quite worried that Ries was occupying the double role of being the ship's pilot and engineer at the same time. Even though she delegates some of her tasks to her drones, she also has a vested interest in tinkering so she still ends up working two jobs anyway.

But if Renata were to take over her as a pilot…

"Are you able to fly the ship though?"

"Of course, Daddy! I have experienced the elite pilot course that is available in the GalaNet and I know how to fly any ship! What's more, if I were to connect myself to the ship directly, I would be able to increase the performance of the ship by at least twenty seven point two two percent!"

"Connect to the ship? You can do that?"

"Hmm… But then you also said that you want to be the ship's maid?"

I shook my head, "That's not why I was asking that though… Wouldn't this also spread you out since you would have to do multiple different jobs?"

A blob slowly expanded from her left shoulder before it detached from her and splattered onto the ground.

The blob then wiggled for a moment before it expanded upwards and it seemed to do a spin before human features appeared on its surface, transforming into another Renata.

Her hair exploded out of her scalp and… Eh?

Instead of the purple hair that I was expecting, pink hair appeared instead?

And when the pink haired Renata opened her eyes, I realised that her eyes were also pink in colour.

The two Renatas then turned to clasp their hands together to pose cutely.

"Tadah! I can make more of me to deal with any work, Daddy! As long as I have the liquid matter to make them, Daddy!" Both of them said at the same time.

"Right… Umm… Any reason why the new one had a different hair colour?"

"Oh! I thought that it would be nice if you could recognise which one is the original me, Daddy! Then again… All of us are the same anyway but it would be more interesting, right?"

Well… The fact that you can split by itself is already a really big thing but let's just ignore that, why don't we?

"Out of curiosity…" I muttered, already dreading the answer. "How many can you split yourself up to?"

Both Renatas adopted a thinking pose as they hummed cutely, "Hmmm… Judging by the amount of liquid matter I have in me right now… I think I can easily split myself up to a hundred thousand?"

I almost choked but then she quickly added.

"Ah! If I split myself into that many right now, I would be really limited in what I can do. If you want me to be operating at full capacity, I guess maybe ten or so is the safest number!"

"That is a big difference between a hundred thousand and ten of you…"

She giggled, "Ehehehe~ Splitting myself means that I will have to divide up everything after all~ So with the amount I have now, that's the best I can do~"

I blinked.

I thought that her limit to the number was because too many of her would make it hard for her to control but…

"Are you telling me that the only reason why you are limited is because of the liquid matter you have?"

She nodded, "That's right~ If I have more, I will be able to increase that number, Daddy!"

"Wouldn't you have trouble controlling so many bodies?"

"Ehehehe~ Not at all, Daddy! All new mes are me but also not me!"

I'm guessing each one sort of has their own consciousness or something? I dunno.

"So why is the limit ten right now?" I asked.

"Because if I split more than that, the amount of liquid matter each of us possess might not be enough to let me fight a Psionic, Daddy!"

That was the metric she was using to determine how many bodies she can split I see…

I'm really not going to accidentally unleash an eldritch horde on the galaxy, am I?
