Werewolf Leveling: Building the Strongest Pack in the Apocalypse

Chapter 190: Arrival

Khalissi stepped out of the changing room with a squad of fairies fluttering overhead, casting beautiful golden light over her figure. The dress that she was wearing sparkled just as bright as, or even more so than, the golden particles falling from the sky.

It hugged her curves perfectly and accentuated her already beautiful appearance. If I didn't know better, I would've thought she was an angel.

"So, what do you think?"

Khalissi, along with the fairies hovering beside her, looked at me expectantly.

"You look just as beautiful as the day I married you."

"Aww!"

The fairies immediately erupted into excited chatters and giggles while Khalissi looked like a deer caught in headlights.

Maybe I took things too far, or maybe it was because of the fairies around her hyping her up and cheering her on, but at this moment she looked a little self-conscious. Maybe it was the sadistic side of me talking, but I felt happy seeing the usually confident demon speechless.

Seeing this side of her, I couldn't help teasing her a bit.

"Honey, you might be catching a cold. Your face looks all red." I said as I turned her reddened cheek with the back on my hand.

"Uh, it's not!"

She quickly turned away with an embarrassed flush on her face. This caused the fairies to swoon even more. As if unable to bear the attention anymore, Khalissi turned on her heel and went back inside the changing room.

While she was gone, I paid for the items I bought for the others. Of course, I used a vial of Khalissi's blood which I had on hand. Using my own blood would cause too much of a commotion and would inevitably draw attention. It only took 5 vials of her blood to clear up everything, including her dress.

After a short while, Khalissi stepped out of the changing room with a swagger that befitted her beauty. She walked out with her head held high and her usual swag.

"Is there anything else you need?" I asked.

"No, I think I've seen all I need to. Let's go."

Khalissi locked her arms around mine as we left the shops. The fairies all fluttered in the air, waving us goodbye before returning to their other customers.

"For such tiny creatures, I'm sensing a lot of magical energy coming from them," Khalissi mumbled after we left the store.

"Don't let their size fool you. Fairies are some of the most powerful magical creatures to ever exist."

"Ha, your world might be more interesting than I thought."

Khalissi and I traversed the city until we got to Grey Waste. She flew us over the wall separating the small settlement. Immediately as we arrived, we were greeted by the others. The first person I saw was Sylvie. She was at the edge of the wall, sniffing the air as if waiting for me.

She was the first to rush towards me, then came the others. She must've recognized me by my scent since Khalissi didn't change back my appearance yet. Another thing I noticed was that the population has increased, as there were now lamias among the ghoul population.

"The lamia queen is here," Selthia explained when she noticed my gaze.

"Oh, they are."

"Don't tell me you forgot your promise, darling."

Surprisingly, I did. I told the lamias that I would prove to them that I was worthy to be their leader. I told them that I would do that by killing the eldest son of the Veylmont clan. The fact that they were here must've meant they saw what happened on the news.

Their curious gazes naturally shifted to me before a swarm began circling around me. They all looked at me in awe while the ghouls were already on their knees. Just then, the queen stepped out into the open. She slithered over to me, her ginormous figure dwarfing everyone present. She then turned to her people.

"Our alpha has come through for us. He has taken out the vampire that was rumored to have the potential to rule the city in the future. Because of that, one of the vampires that once looked down on us is no more."

The lamias mumbled among themselves, but I could see on their faces that they agreed with their queen. They were looking to me as their new leader, and I was happy to welcome them with open arms.

Taking in the weak and making them strong was what I had to offer. It worked on the werewolves and the ghouls perfectly. There will always be a group weak and struggling, and I will always be there to support them. And so my list of supporters will continue to increase.

The lamias all subjugated themselves in front of me, and I turned everyone of them. They were all given the Gorgon bloodline, and with my venom they turned into primordial gorgons.

Looking at my people and the settlements, I could tell we were in need of some development. The buildings were all old and dilapidated, but this was what I had by handling in the past few days. Which is why I haven't seen much of her. And why she didn't help in the fight against Allucard.

She would use my blood to develop this city. It would be expensive, but with the quality of my blood, the cost wasn't a problem. She was going to hire witches to do the reconstruction of this part of the city, including the walls.

I also asked for a barrier to keep people out. The vampires didn't know I was here, but if they ever find out they would lead an all-out attack, so I wanted to be prepared just in case something like that happened.

After I was done with the lamias and the ghouls, I headed to the building the ghouls had prepared for my arrival. It wasn't the best, but I could see the effort they put out in making me comfortable. The girls and I were all given separate rooms.

The room I was given was noticeably more sizable than the others. The moment I stepped into my room, I collapsed on the bed in exhaustion, but just then, a dark energy began circling around me and soon, my giant black hound, Cerberus appeared.
