Chapter 156: Strange Girl
"I'm telling you, it really happened. The ghouls went on a massacre last night!" a red-haired man with a face shaped to resemble a cat shouted to his friends who were shaking their heads in disbelief.
"Ghouls are just too weak; they couldn't have carried out a massacre," a lizard man who was also sitting at their table replied.
"It's the truth. The people who witnessed the massacre said they saw a female ghoul, and when the death knights went to Grey Waste, they found bodies. Bodies belonging to the people who were killed last night.
"Those bastards!" a wendigo sitting at their table suddenly slammed his fist down. He was fuming with anger. "How could they do that after we let them live? We should exterminate them! Them and the ratfolk. I bet those vermin were also a part of it."
"That's not what I heard," the red-haired man quickly said. "From what I've heard, only the ghouls were involved. The vampires and the witches are currently deciding what to do with them. The vampires are most likely to push for an extermination if any, while the witches might want to be more lenient," the red-haired man said.
"Yeah, you're right. The vampires will jump at any chance they get to create a massacre."
So people have already heard about the massacre that took place last night, and since Yuki was the one behind it, they blamed the ghouls. Coupled with the fact that I had my shadow hounds hide the bodies in Grey Waste, it was impossible to deny their involvement.
The ghouls must be scared out of their minds now that the vampires and the witches had set their sights on them. Even the gang members must be feeling scared of what will happen. I'll make sure their desperation is at its peak before I make a move. For now, I just have to wait a little while.
Throughout the rest of the day, I kept a watch on the witches and vampires to see what they planned to do. The death knights and lich were guarding Grey Waste to make sure no one enters or exits.
The city was in unrest after everything that happened last night. I could still see smoke rising in the distance. The lich had done more damage than I thought. Just a reminder that I needed to be more careful with him.
"So, are you going to tell me where we're going? And who's the crazy girl?" Khalissi asked as she strolled along beside me.
And of course, the crazy girl in question was none other than Yuki. She was jollily skipping along beside us.
"I don't appreciate being called crazy. I have feelings, you know," she pouted when she heard Khalissi's words.
"This is Yuki," I explained. "I brought her along because her moral compass is perfect for what we're going to do."
"I see. Is that also the same reason why you brought me along?" Khalissi asked.
"No, I brought you along because the best way to fight fire is with fire."
"Huh?" Khalissi looked at me with a raised eyebrow, clearly not understanding what I was saying.
"There is an enemy that holds powerful magic. I brought you along to act as a counter since I can't use magic yet."
With the powerful magic the lich held in its possession, it would be hard to even get close to it without being melted to a smudge. That was where Khalissi came in. Her magic would act as a sort of counter since they both use dark magic.
"Oh really? Is this enemy a witch or maybe a sorcerer?"
"He's a sorcerer, but a very special kind. I must warn you, his dark magic is just as formidable as yours. I got a taste of it last night, and even now there is this deep burning sensation beneath my skin even though it has healed."
Khalissi licked her lips and smiled.
"Sounds like fun. I haven't had a good magic battle since I've come to this world. Though there is one thing I don't get. Since we've been here, you've been talking about not drawing attention to ourselves. That's the real reason we stayed at the inn in the first place. But last night you threw that all aside and went on a killing spree with this girl. Why?"
"It's all part of the plan. Don't worry too much about it. For now, I want you to distract the lich so we can sneak into Grey Waste once again. Try not to destroy the city in your battle."
Khalissi gave a teasing smile.
"Whatever you say, master."
When we neared Grey Waste, Khalissi created a small explosion to draw the lich and the death knights away. The moment she did, Yuki and I rushed to cross over into the territory known as Grey Waste.
We headed towards the secret spot that Ivy and I used to sneak in the first time. Where there was a small hole in the wall, haphazardly covered up, but just before we got there, Yuki spotted something.
"Oh look, there is someone else guarding the perimeter," Yuki said, and a smile rose on her face. "Big guy, isn't he? Must be a werebear."
"Just leave it. We can still sneak past."
Yuki licked her lips as her scorpion tail grew behind her.
"Where's the fun in that?"
Saying that, Yuki leaped towards the werebear who was oblivious of the incoming attack. Her tail ripped through the air at a deadly speed and pierced the creature in the chest. The werebear roared loudly as large pools of blood gushed from its chest, but still that was hardly the killing blow for such a monstrous creature.
Its eyes began to grow yellow as hair began to grow on its arms and legs. The claws that grew from its fingers were more like pincers than claws. They were roughly ten inches long and glistened as the werebear swung them towards Yuki.
Yuki nimbly dodged the attack, still laughing like a maniac as her tail landed another hit. This time to the werebear's throat, creating another open wound on the massive creature. The werebear staggered backwards, its leg giving out, and just then I noticed something.
His blood carried the faintest trace of poison.
'So her tail does possess poison. It wasn't as strong as Sylvie's, but still…'
Yuki continued to toy with the dying creature as it thrashed around, looking to land a proper hit on her, but she was just too fast. Too agile for such a massive creature to keep up with. Soon the towering behemoth collapsed, creating a small tremor when it did.
Yuki's face was flushed, her breathing erratic, but still she never lost her crazy smile.
"I told you to leave it," I said as I approached her.
She looked at me and her smile got wider.
"You know what I am, don't you?" she asked, looking at me suspiciously. "My sissy doesn't know, but I know you do."
"Don't know what you're talking about," I replied, trying to brush her off, but she was relentless.
She slowly approached me and grabbed a hold of my hand. She kept eye contact as she slowly lowered my hand and placed it between her thighs, under her skirt until my hands brushed against something wet and soft.
"You can feel my panties. They're soaking wet. You know what I am, don't you?"
"Yes."
"What am I?"
"You're a ghoul. But you're also an erotophonophilia. Someone who gets sexually aroused by killing."
"So you knew all along."
"Yes, from the moment I met you. From the moment I meet someone, I know things about their body that they probably don't even know themselves. Plus, you're wearing a skirt. Unless you're constantly peeing yourself, then that has to be the reason."
"I usually carry a pair of undies," she chuckled before her expression turned serious. "Aren't you disgusted? Doesn't it make you sick to know that I orgasm every time I kill someone? I usually don't care what anyone else thinks, but if my sissy finds out…"
"You're afraid she'll abandon you or feel disgusted by you."
She meekly nodded. For all her faults, she really did love her sister.
I reached out my hand and rested it on the top of her head to comfort her.
"Don't worry, your secret is safe with me. You're a strange girl. Many might be turned off by you, but you don't have to worry about that since you're a part of my pack. I accepted your strangeness from the moment I decided to turn you."
A faint smile appeared on Yuki's face. It was different from the devilish grin she used to give. This smile actually made her look cute.
"Hehehe, well at least I don't have to worry about holding back while you're around. That would've been annoying," she laughed before walking off and flashing me a wink.
I smiled and followed behind her as we continued to make our way to Grey Waste, and in just a few minutes we had arrived at the downtrodden territory.
A satisfied smile rose on my face when I finally saw the situation there.
