Warhammer Divine Throne

Chapter 89: Master and Disciple Duel

"No!" Anyone could hear the pain in Jacob's voice, but the Demon Hunting Master's mindset and movements had never been so swift and violent. The fire cannon fired continuously, and the axe in his hand swung wide, each move taking the life of a Deserter.

Belte frowned slightly, Jacob's performance was somewhat beyond his expectation, so he signaled the remaining Deserters to swarm forward, while the Fallen Hunter faced off against the last young Demon Hunter.

"Fallen, bring your life here." The young Demon Hunter wasn't using an axe; instead, he wielded a Longsword and a Long Fire Cannon.

"Show some respect to your seniors, boy. Didn't your mentor ever teach you that?" Belte turned around, looking at the remaining young Demon Hunter.

The young Demon Hunter didn't reply with words; he answered Belte with the pull of a trigger.

The long-barreled fire cannon shot a stream of mercury bullets at Belte's twisted face.

Belte immediately dodged with a side roll in place. The mercury bullets poured into the group of Deserters, and any Deserter hit by the mercury bullets fell amidst wails, as mercury bullets had a strong damage bonus against Chaos Creatures. Their decaying and corrupt bodies would quickly melt under the power of mercury, even Belte didn't want to face the power of mercury bullets head-on.

The young Demon Hunter fired three consecutive shots, all of which Belte dodged with incredible speed. After the three shots, Belte let loose and charged towards the young Demon Hunter. The young Demon Hunter, without the chance to reload, calmly drew his Longsword, and the clash of axe blade and Longsword echoed crisply.

"Ugh!" The young Demon Hunter could feel that Belte's wrist strength was something he couldn't withstand. After a brief exchange, the young Demon Hunter immediately rolled to avoid and drew a silver knife from his bosom, hurling it fiercely.

The Fallen Hunter reached out and caught the flying knife, a smug expression on his face: "This kind of throwing knife..."

"Boom!" Before he could finish speaking, the sound of a fire cannon's roar erupted from the other side, and the mercury bullet flying in from the side blasted off half of Belte's shoulder.

"Always so careless, aren't you!" It was Jacob.

In the burning warehouse, the Demon Hunting Master had already taken care of all the Deserters. Jacob walked out from the flames: "Chayerin, fall back, Belte is mine."

"Yes, Vice President!" The young Demon Hunter named Chayerin withdrew from the battle circle.

The fire in the warehouse grew more intense. Initially contained in the inner room, the blaze had spread throughout the entire warehouse. Candles and piled clothes were ignited by the flames, and even the beams caught fire, filling the interior of the warehouse with a red glow.

The scene was bizarre, as if a grand feast was underway, for only an indoors banquet would be so brightly lit.

"Retreat, Chayerin, leave this to me, find a way back to the city and tell Laine and Veronica about this!" Jacob glanced back at the warehouse door, finding no ambush, then motioned for Chayerin to retreat quickly.

"Vice President!" The young Demon Hunter said reluctantly.

"Go! Don't make me say it again." Jacob's War Axe had already clashed with Belte's War Axe, the young Demon Hunter no longer hesitated, and he promptly dashed out of the warehouse.

Only the sounds of metal clashing and guns firing kept echoing in the warehouse.

"Bang! Bang!" Jacob's Hand Cannon fired two more shots at Belte, and the Fallen Hunter was hit in the chest and abdomen, yet Belte was unaffected by it, his axe slicing through the hot air inside the warehouse and swinging towards Jacob's neck in a deadly arc.

Jacob did not flinch, the Legendary High-Tier Demon Hunting Master twisted his body, narrowly dodging the dangerous axe blade of the Fallen Hunter, and as he evaded the lethal attack, his axe cut into Belte's arm.

Belte's arm was incredibly hard. A close look revealed a metallic sheen beneath the skin: "Is this... alchemical transformation?!"

"Indeed. How fragile is the human body? So I made a deal with the servants of the Lord of Pleasure." Belte's shoulder, shattered by the mercury bullet, also gleamed with metallic light: "I offered my body for their experiments and transformations, and they derived immense pleasure from experimenting on me, a win-win!"

With that, the Fallen Hunter opened his mouth, his teeth all replaced with metal Sharp Fangs.

"Such self-debasement!" Jacob fired two more shots at Belte, noting that the parts of Belte's body hit still bled, indicating that flesh and blood remained the main components of Belte's body.

"Tendon Cutting Slash!" Belte roared and charged at Jacob, his massive axe radiating a scarlet light, terrifying under the firelight. Jacob's thigh was struck.

"Execution!" Jacob never dodged, his War Axe slicing straight down along Belte's shoulder to his waist, leaving a deep gash down to the bone.

The former master and apprentice parted immediately, Jacob bellowed lowly, instinctively rolling towards the rear right.

Someone moved faster than him. As Jacob was still rolling, Belte had already drawn a Hand Cannon, firing at where Jacob was about to roll.

"Bang!" "Ugh!"

The gunfire and the Demon Hunting Master's groan sounded simultaneously.

The Demon Hunting Master's body trembled slightly, clearly having taken a serious hit just now.
